I will do my best to not be rude. I buried both of my folks 20+ years ago. Cancer took them both. Death is certain for all of us. Passing on who they are is crucial. It won't EVER take away the pain, but touching the lives of future generations is so fulfilling. Seeing a child, or niece, or nephew reflect that same good is awesome! None of us are ever ready to be the old man, it just happens, then we panic because we are still just a kid. Well before my dad passed, I asked him what it was like to be old, he was my grandpa after all. He said, "Joe, inside I'm the same age as you, but my body doesn't work the way it used to." None of us are ever ready, it's what we do next that defines us. Be as strong as you can, and project that love into the world. One last bit. Hugs are awesome, and won't usually be missed until they are gone. Get as many as you can, and be grateful for the time you got.
