- Here is the long-awaited sequel to "SpongeBob VS Patrick - Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel." This project, expressing my love for SpongeBob and YuGiOh!, took six months of dedicated effort and hard work. I hope it captures the essence of these two iconic worlds colliding in a duel of epic proportions.
"Spongy-Oh!" is a fan animation inspired by SpongeBob fan projects on CZcams, particularly those by JChaseFilms and Narmak. Seeing no SpongeBob and Yu-Gi-Oh mash-ups, I worked hard to create the original animated video. Although hesitant, I left the first "Spongy-Oh" duel on an unresolved cliffhanger. To improve, I redrew all 2D models and included 3D models for massive monsters, aiming for higher quality in "Spongy-Oh Part 2." While it may not be a masterpiece, I sincerely hope everyone enjoys the final video.

I imagine that Sandy reverse engineered Kaiba's duel disk tech to make it waterproof and have every single card laminated to prevent water damage to them.
Revisiting a card game even though you’re a college student, damn these cards can help entertain you even though you are living your life as an adult.

Turn 9: Patrick draws and plays Pot of Avarice to take his three BEWD, BEUD and WSoA back in his respective decks and draws 2 cards. Patrick activates Burden of the Mighty reducing Slifer's atk by 100 x it's 10 level stars. Spongebob activates Jar of Greed to draw a card. Obelisk attacks Slifer resulting in a double knockout. Patrick activates Rage with Eyes of Blue. banishing it, Burden of the Mighty and all the cards in his graveyard to special summon all three BEWD cards from his deck. Patrick ends his turn.
Turn 10: Spongebob draws. He activates Monster Reincarnation. By discarding Heart of the Underdog, Spongebob brings back Dark Magician Girl from his graveyard to his hand. Spongebob sets two cards face down and ends his turn.
Turn 11: Patrick draws. He has two BEWD attack, but Spongebob activates Relay Soul to special summon Dark Magician Girl from his hand and take no damage. Patrick attacks with his third BEWD but Spongebob activates Mirror Wall which cuts BEWD's atk in half, allowing Dark Magician Girl to destroy it. Patrick LP: 2500 > 1700. Patrick activates Advance Draw, Tributing one of his Blue-Eyes White Dragons to draw 2 cards. Patrick activates Chaos Form, banishing a BEWD from his graveyard to Ritual Summon Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon.
Turn 12: Spongebob draws, reveals and Special Summons Palladium Oracle Mahad from his hand, He then activates Dark Magic Veil, paying 1000 LP to special summon Dark Magician from his graveyard. Spongebob has Mahad attack BECMD, activating it's ability as BECMD is a Dark attribute monster, doubling it's ATK, and destroying it. Patrick LP: 1700 > 700. Spongebob activates Dark Magic Expanded with his monsters gaining all three effects. Dark Magician attacks and destroys BEWD. Patrick LP: 700 > 200. Dark Magician Girl attacks Patrick Directly. Patrick LP: 200 > 0.
Spongebob wins.

I know a bunch of you have a lot of questions in this video, allow me to address them.
1.) When Patrick used Rage with Eyes of Blue, why didn't he attack SpongeBob that moment?
-I admit I kind of screwed up and didn't explain that part well. To give context, Patrick purposely did that just to bait SpongeBob, trying to play mind tricks on him like he did with Balance of Judgment earlier. This wasn't executed well in hindsight.
2.) How did SpongeBob use Dark Magic Veil despite using Relay Soul with 0 Life Points?
-I'm following the actual game rules not the anime. Relay Soul working with 0 Life Points was only an anime-exclusive effect. It does NOT work that may in an actual game. When the three Blue-Eyes attacked SpongeBob, him losing his LP was just for dramatic effect/in his head. At 3:11 it is still 4000 LP because Relay Soul prevented damage.
I'm planning on a compilation video for "Spongy-Oh!". I intend to combine the first episode with the second episode, while also adding some additional scenes. While I had fun working on this video, there were still certain errors that I wish to patch up for the upcoming Spongy-Oh! compilation. Expect something around late 2024.
question though,why didnt sponge bob neeed to pay half his life for mirrior wall

i still love this to pieces but also cant get over slifer's effect not affecting obelisk; the reason diva's monster was unable to affect obelisk in the movie being referenced is because it was not a god card, and only the effects of other god cards can affect them. still loved the shoutout though, such a good movie. would love to see a spongy-oh take on that movie's yugi v kaiba duel ("you fight me with fruit!? dont mock me!")

This was pretty rad. A lot of stuff with the rules were comically inaccurate to the IRL card game, but when did the anime ever care about stuff like that lol.
The effort with all the animations and stuff were great for a solo passion project.
Now a duel with the cards of YU-GI-OH Zexal or ARC-V please.
This could easily be explained in universe as SpongeBob and Patrick recently getting into the anime, Sandy happened to be a TCG player and taught them how Duel Monsters works. The rest is the two of them larping basically.
at 3:45 kaiba only attacked with 2 blues eyes not 3. Why? Did anybody else notice this?
