What about weedy lakes Andy? I find stotz are the way forward for bulk+2 as shots are prone to pinging off and otherwise will damage your line, something you definitely want to avoid when fishing for big tench and carps. Open water shots but up against snags etc stotz?

Shots ping off on heavier line too and time waste. It’s faster to move stotz than add a new shot Anything above .20mm I always use stotz regardless and apply more pressure when fixing. They’re much kinder to your line
