More harm is being done by establishing it is a National Reserve. Because you build buildings and build roads. This is far more damaging to the ecosystem, polluting the area with runoff from cars, etc. Before you criticize individuals you should criticize the governments which unrightfully hold the land hostage and dictate who is allowed and not allowed to pollute the areas.
