- Drummond Island Michigan Camping Trip. Scenic sites visited include Shale Beach, Fossil Ledges, Marblehead Viewing Point and plenty of great off roading trails. We stayed at Trailhead Campground, restaurant and bar and had an excellent stay. See what Drummond Island has to offer from the ferry ride, a few local hotspots such as Esther's, Trailhead Restaurant and so much more.
Trailhead Campground is an ORV/ATV friendly campground, restaurant and bar that you can ride your off road vehicle right to the trails from. There is an RV section and rustic camp section of this campground. They do offer 4 bathroom's with running water and two showers for their camping guest. The restaurant offers good food, nice selection of drinks and is very spacious.
We decided to ride every tough trail we could find on the island. We did them all that were on the visitor center map we had. These trails and off road routes can be very technical, if you like technical riding you will love Drummond Island.

Drummond island is my favorite island
I can see that with all it has to offer!
Very nice presentation 👍 I was talking to my neighbor while he was installing a new soft top on his Jeep, turns out he is Drummond island tour guide 🙂
Very cool! Thank you and thanks for joining us!
❤great video, glad you enjoyed Drummond Island. The trails are not for inexperienced riders however if you go in groups and have a strong winch you can make it to Marble Head the most magnificent view.
Thanks for sharing 👍🌞
Wow did we ever enjoy it, still excited about it when it comes up- lol. Gorgeous island!
Came for the Quad Rides, Stayed for the FOOD!
Looked Like A Great Time!
Absolutely amazing riding and scenery! The food was great, lol
Great video! Drone footage is awesome.
Thank you
Thumbs up 👍 for another awesome video. Everything on the island looked amazing. My wife & I purchased the exact same big green tent and we love it. You guys are a great inspiration for us soon to be empty nesters who are wanting to go on some of these adventures.
Thank you. The tent has opened up the world a bit for us, for the rustic camping part it doesn’t hurt to have a small power source and bathroom/shower tent either. Makes things much more comfortable
@@DirtyJakTheDustyBean its ironic that we purchased the same Cabelas Alaskan and I've also already had my eye in that same 13' x 13' Coleman screen room. I've heard that Costco may lower the price down to $99 towards the end of summer.
One tip for the Cabelas Alaskan tent... it never leaks but we noticed that a puddle can form at the top where the 3 poles cross creating a flat spot. We put a small inflatable beach ball up there between the tent and the rain fly to eliminate that flat spot. That tent is bomb proof!
@@ericracz4230 So far we had one light sprinkle in it and a 10 hour pretty good rain storm. It held up perfectly in both. We just did our first week long camping trip in it and we had a very comfortable stay in it. The easy up screen tent is the only way to go, lol --- we don't want to spend more time than we have to setting up.
Looks like a blast. I don’t think I’ve ever been to Drummond Island and not had water like that. On another note we would still love to hear a long term review or updates on your thoughts on the Suzuki’s. Thanks
Long term review will be coming this year (wanted some time on them before reviewing). Drummond has some very technical riding, if you like that the riding is fantastic with scenery that will far exceed your expectations
@@DirtyJakTheDustyBean sounds good. Looks like they are doing well. Just curious on how they compare in your opinion. Thanks for the vids
Looks like a blast! What kind of tires and wheels are on Tina’s quad?
She has Duro Frontiers on her quad. They’ve been great for the rocks on Drummond, general trail riding and basically everything except deep sand (then they are ok but not so great- deep sand)
@@DirtyJakTheDustyBean thank you for the reply! 😃
