I feel blessed to have discovered the Pet Shop Boys as a Gen Z-er. Nobody I know in my age group knows about them. First heard of their top 80s hits from CZcams playlist by accident in 2019 and was hooked ever since. They are amazing in every decade. I hope I get to see them live before they retire. I felt the same at 1999 when everybody of my age listened Britney Spears, Nsync, Backstreet Boys but I enjoyed PSB, New Order, Depeche Mode music. But dont feel alone, with social media you can conect with every PSB fans no matter time or distance. :)
I discovered them in the early 90’s when I was in 5th grade back in Eastern Europe. Go west was such a masterpiece. A few years later I did go west. I’ve been in the USA for 28 years now. Boy time flies. Cheers PSB

My favourite track of the new album 😊 shared with The Secret of Happiness. How I adore this duo, they have provided the soundtrack to my life.
Oh! Agree, but it’s obviosly the second (8,5 out of 10), Secret of happiness is 9.2 out of 10. It’s a sin is an etalon - 10 points.
When I was growing up in Greece, in the late 1980s - early 1990s, Neil's lyric representations of being gay offered me something really special and valuable: the idea, the assurance I might say, that you can be happy, comfortable in your skin, and equal... as a gay person. This "lesson" was very indirect and non pedantic, still extremely clear and strong!
So... A 51 year old New Athens Boy is here, today, contemplating and saying a huge, well deserved thank you to the Pet Shop Boys!
I'm German (a bit older than you though) and can very well relate to what you've written. In the mid 80s I became a New Hamburg Boy . I guess there are a lot of us New Big(ger) City Boys out there.😀👍
a New Hollywood Boy here. Just enough songwriting success in the '80s to say "I made my Hollywood dream come true" on a modest level... but I was smart enough to keep my day job (hospital social worker during the surrealistic and brutal AIDS epidemic when it was a death sentence. Trust me.., you didn't want to be there This lovely song is reminiscent of the similarly reflective "The Pop Kids".

Γεια σου πατρίδα🙋🏻♂️Φάν απ´το 1987…όταν πρώτο άκουσα το “it’s a sin”,λάτρεψα τον “ Actually” και από τότε κανένας δίσκος τους δεν με απογοήτευσε,έχουν πάντα πολύ ψηλά τον πήχη και είναι σταθερά οι πιο αγαπημένοι μου καλλιτέχνες.Έχω πάει σε πολλά live τους αλλά το καλύτερο τους ήταν εδώ στην Αθήνα πρόπερσι στην πλατεία νερού.

I have listened to this song three times, headphones on, lost in the rhythm. Every single time I get chills across my shoulders and up the back of my head then get lost in the lyrics and become very nostalgic. Absolutely beautiful piece of music and will always have a special place like so many of their songs. Just fantastic❤

First listened to these guys from Actually and the classics on there, someone who was far too young at the time too understand what they were singing about, but nevertheless something connected. 37 years later they still connect in that unique way, and songs like this trigger exactly the same feelings. Actually is my favourite album with “It’s a sin” - my favourite song. The only mistake you made - you wrote “nevertheless” but should have written “nonetheless” 😂

Here I can’t support you. It’s not Behavior or even Actually and Please where I skip one song(Shopping and Violence), and not even Bilingual with skipping Electrisity and Up against it. This album is something between Yes(that’s better) and Nightlife (that’s a little bit worse than Nonetheless). In all these 3 albums there 6 songs are able to be listened to, Feel, Dancing star, Bullet for narcissus and Shlagger hit parade - to the trash bin , imho of course
@@philipkouznetsov3196 that’s your opinion. My faves are Nonetheless, Actually, Very and Behaviour. To skip Shopping or Violence discloses that you are not a real fan, just a casual listener to PSB
By the way, this is the problem for me with having conversation to petheads(PSB fans). The saying that Electricity is good, Radiophonic or Integral is nice (no melody at all in all of them) along with It’s a sin, Jealosy, Secret of happiness or New London boy(wonderful tune and the genuine Pet Shop Boys) is insulting for PSB esteem. PSB is melody first of all but not the original style like Integral, Electricity or Love etc(Dancing star is the second edition)
@@omanmc Maybe you are right about fanship. But as I calculated I love and like 195 songs of the Pet Shop Boys and not any other group can compare with them in these number of songs and compositions. I’m too picky, of course. I skip Young offender, One and one makes five and even Theatre in Very- what’s the discussion))
