James Knott has retired from the Better Beer Authority and has based his latest project on another passion - mountain biking!
Quickdirt.com is a mountain bike website that is all about adventure, training, racing & the MTB lifestyle. It follows the struggles and successes of James as he competes in mountain bike races and explores different trails. But, that is just the central story in a website that teaches readers how to ride faster and live a healthy adventurous lifestyle.
The site features interviews with compelling personalities in the mountain bike community - including racers, authors, event promoters & bike manufacturers. There are also product reviews that will help you find the right equipment for your style of riding.
Mt biking is awesome! especially during the cold winters in the NE where doing a 20mph road ride is 28 degree weather is just plain nasty. Ill be sure to check out the site. I do miss your Better beer authority episodes though :-/ A good beer is great after a long ride. Good luck with new endeavors man.
The more you ride the more beer you get to drink. I find that inspirational.
Awesome stuff James. I know I certainly need to lose some weight after this winter of HUGE Barleywines, Imperial Stouts, etc. haha. Cheers!
The more you ride the more beer you can drink. A good Fat Tire after a ride is both delicious and appropriate.
James, I've actually slowed down my drinking. I'm trying to get fit
That's probably a step in the right direction. I've cut back and lost weight and feel much better.
I'm old fat and I've seen your 59lbs loss bid. Motivated me
I've really been thinking about getting into mountain biking lately. What's a good beginner bike I don't want a POS but nothing crazy I'd like to have disc brakes and I'm a pretty short guy anything you'd recommend? What are things I should look for as far as options on bikes like disc brakes or hard tails or whatever. Thanks! (Still miss your professionalism of BBA)
I recommend bikes from Giant, Specialized and Trek for beginners. I think it's a good combination of price and quality. My last two bikes were Giant Trance x2 and Specialized Stumpjumper.
Ummm beeeeeeeeeeer!!!
Am I luck number 10,000? I'm here to claim my prize
Beer sounds way better James
That is THE BEST name on CZcams...'billybobdick100'...oh yeah...
Beer is great after a good trail ride. It tastes even better. If that's possible.
