So cute. Great instructions. I attached mine to a used horseshoe instead of a ring. I made the double hanger. My only problem was that I ran out of cord. I ended up using 4 x 640 cm cords. Thanks for a great tutorial. It will be a housewarming gift for my son and daughter-in-law in New Mexico.
Thank you 🥰 it must be really nice with the horseshoe, i'm sure they will like your handmade gift!
640mm? That is only 25inches. I want to start cutting cord for a two hat hanger but want to make sure to cut right length, I am going to use sq knots along the sides too.
@@Betteize So glad you caught my error. It's cm not mm. I edited my response.
@@BohoKnots can you provide a list with the written pattern please?
Unfortunately no, I don't have any written instructions available.
Very beautiful patttern. I did both. I recommend using these dimensions:
- for single: 370cm if do square knots tight or 400cm if you do more loose
- for double: around 600-610 cm
Great clear instructions. Perhaps to people who don't know basic knots it might be hard so I recommend this video for people who already did couple of macrame projects and are familiar with knots. Thank you
How much more would you add for 4mm? I did this and used the same measurements and I ended having to add more cord multiple

MERCI pour ce superbe partage
Avec plaisir 😊
Hermoso...muy hermoso...felicidades!!!
Thank you so much 😊
Obrigada, o meu ficou muito lindo!
Beijinhos
Thank you 😊
Gracias por tan entretenido y fácil tutorial, lo hice en color mostaza, muy hermoso. Gracias por compartir, un abrazo chileno.
Thank you 🥰 I'm sure it looks nice in mustard color 💛
Muito bom, além de ser decorativo.
Thank you 😊
Eu gostei 👍 mais vi várias vezes kk
Obrigada!!
Thank you 😊
Would be nice if there were written or verbal instructions to go with the steps.
Thanks! I really like your pattern. Made a real nice one.
Thank you so much! If you try this project, I recommend you cut your cords longer as it happened to be too short for some people.
Thank you! I usually go a bit long anyways AND I already made it and loved the pattern! I made it for my Dad’s room.
I'm glad you like it 😊
Tricky to follow. I believe I need much more practice. Hard to see what piece you have collected and which way to wrap. I think I need slow motion.
Maybe the brown coloured cord is not a good example colour.
I made the single with 310cm cords X 4 as suggested, but they were too short?? What mm cord did you use?
Lovely video. Thank you. How long did you make the braids in the 2nd section please?
Thank you! For the 2nd section, I made 18 square knots (same as the 1st section). Make sure to cut your cords a bit longer if you try this project as for some people it was too short (50cm extra lengths should be fine).
@@BohoKnots thank you 😊
you're welcome 😊
❤️👏
Para hacerlo triple... cuantos metros tengo que usar? Gracias
I would love to make a triple hanger with about 8" cord at bottom. Does 460cm + 160cm for 3rd hat + 20cm for extra cord sound right? So 4 x 1,100 cm? Thank you!! ❤
Did you end up making a 3 tiered one? I am looking for measurements for one and can't find them anywhere!
@@TheHumbleArbutusI did a 3-tiered one and I used 610cm for it. With 10 squares on the top part of the hat and 10 on the lower part.
I’m new to this so….. each piece of cord (for the double hat holder) should be how long?
You need 4 cords and each cords should be 4m60 long.
Is there a place I can find/download the written instructions as well?
Unfortunately no, I don't have this available.
I'm a beginner at macrame, and I'm confused about the "Ring: 4,5cm diameter". Does "4,5cm" mean "4.5cm" or "4-5cm" or something else?? I even tried to do a google search, and google kept auto-correcting it to "4.5cm" when I typed the "4,5cm". TIA!
Hi! Yes 4,5cm means 4.5cm
In Europe we usually use a comma instead of a dot 🙂
Do you think single strand cord would work up as nicely or do you reccommend braided for this project?
I'm wondering what various factors allowed you to use that much cord? Sounds too short. Itd be nice to know how much more we need 😅
I mentioned the cord's lengths that works for me but without any extra cords left and because of various factors like brand of the cords or type/size of cords (even though its mentioned 3mm, it still varies depending on the supplier) and specially our tension while working on our knots, for some people it's gonna be too short. But I am now adding extra cords lengths for security on my latest video. For this project, you might want to add around 50-60cm more.
Thank you I really appreciate your answer
you're welcome 😊
Measurements are WRONG!!!! I ran out of cord on both the single and double hanger 😡
It would be nice if they were in inches instead of centimeters..
@@michellereneau3995 cm are better :)
Horrible instructions. It would be nice if you spoke during the video and told what you were doing. You move your hands so quick it’s hard to tell what piece you are grabbing. I have had to undo it 8 times and start over and keep replaying the video over and over!
She may speak French and people may not understand that language. You can move to your settings and slow the video tutorial down. That makes it much easier to follow. 😊
