  • Rosa Mexicano is a restaurant that originated in New York City with a storied history and renowned founder. This was the first fine dining Mexican restaurant in New York. After much success the founder then brought this NYC sensation across the United States. This particular location in Disney's Swan and Dolphin resort is the first in Florida.
    After partaking in Mexican cuisine across Walt Disney World property we ask the question of whether Rosa Mexicano is the best on property. From their legendary margaritas, table side guacamole and Birria Quesatacos; we partake in some of their signature offerings and see how the quality stacks up to the legend. Along the way, we provide a little history on this restaurant, compare it to other offerings at the Dolphin Resort and provide our full experience dining at one of Walt Disney World's newest restaurants.

    its so entertaining seeing you try so many places, i cant stand the heat or crowds so i dont think ill ever go to anything disney but these gives me the ability to at least see the foods

      The resort dining is much more relaxed than going to the parks ☺️ Parks are hard, especially as it’s getting hotter & hotter here. It’s a race against time to get good photos & videos of food before it melts 😂 Sometimes it feels like an Olympic sport. I hope we’re giving you a good overview ☺️ Thanks for watching.

    We might have mentioned this before, but we always find the Swan and Dolphin both to be so intimidating! Those buildings, fountains and structures are so massive. We feel small and insignificant anytime we're within a mile of either resort 😂 BUT one day, we really would like to try out some of the dining options at Swan and Dolphin both. We've only ever heard great things about peoples' experiences with the food! We are also BIG Mexican/Spanish/Texmex fans and Rosa Mexicano seems right up our alley. Katie is a guacamole/avocado enthusiast and loves tableside gauc; it just adds something special to the experience to have the food prepared right in front of you. The flautas looked absolutely INSANE; I've never seen them stood up on end either but it was the raw amount of cabbage and cheese they served up to top it off made it look so appetizing. After all that, _plus_ enchiladas and quesatacos, there is absolutely no way I'd have any room for dessert. But when everything is 8/10 - 9/10, how _can_ one pass up dessert? 🤩 Amazing to think that this restaurant originated in NYC, but glad it was successful enough to merit new establishments as far south as Florida. Great review, guys!

      Funny you say that because we also found these resorts to be fairly ostentatious during our first few visits. Looked like a religious monument 😆. The dining here is on point though. Shula's and Rosa Mexicano are two of the top spots to eat anywhere in WDW in our opinion. It's also just a beautiful resort. If Katie is a fan of guac it's a must. Table side guac is like an extra dinner show. I'd say this is best Mexican in Orlando but maybe I'm biased because this spot is from our home of NY. Thank you!

      Thanks Chris! As of now, this is the best Mexican Food in Disney in our opinion. It's nice to stop in the Dolphin Resort too because it's incredibly picturesque. The food was 🔥. Will make sure I keep up the curls 😆.

    Wow, looks like an amazing addition! We stayed at the Dolphin last time we were at WDW in 2021 and that place was a breakfast buffet and we are there and it was good, but looks like it was even better as Rosa Mexicano!

      @ThemeParkFoodies  Před rokem

      Oh wow, breakfast buffet does sound good. We here this place has a stellar Breakfast/Brunch too that we'll have to go back for. Definitely a great addition to the line up of eats here. A stay at the Dolphin is definitely on our bucket list.

    Hey guys - really enjoy your videos - Rosa Mexicano is my favorite Mexican in NYC. - so glad they're in WDW now!
    You need to go back for the Carnitas! Amazing
    Love the Guac - agree its the best tableside ever
    Also Brunch is fantastic
    Happy Eating!

      Thank you 😃, we were blown away. Brunch is on the list for us so we should be checking that off soon. I'll make sure to get the Carnitas next time we're there! We really appreciate your support and knowing you enjoy the videos. Thanks for the recommendations. Happy Eating to you too!

      @Theme Park Foodies thanks for saying hi! The Chilaquiles and breakfast burrito are both great but I'm really into the buffet - sounds awesome
      Also the half chicken at dinner
      I love WDW - though it's gotten crazy expensive lol - and I naturally miss the dining plan
      My fave Disney restaurants, aside from Rosa which I know will make the list, are Flying Fish, Le Cellier, Jiko, Tiffins, Frontera, Homecomin, Morimoto, Brown Derby and, on a good night, California Grill - though I also had one of the worst meals I've ever had in Disney there - a disaster lol
      Have you been to Disneyland Paris? My favorite Disney park - so damn beautiful!
      Btw I'm a theatre director and filmmaker based in Portland Oregon But love the east coast, NYC and Europe

    • @ThemeParkFoodies
      @ThemeParkFoodies  Před rokem

      We've dined at all of those except Flying Fish! We'll have to put it on the list. California Grill is my(Jay's) favorite although I have to admit I've never had a bad experience there but have heard mixed reviews. Never been to DLP but it's on our list. Hoping next year we can hit up some international parks. We've heard nothing but amazing things about DLP too. Thanks so much for saying hi to us and the recommendations! It really means a lot. We feel so lucky having grown up on the East Coast and being close to all these amazimg attractions. Your profession sounds so fun and interesting. We're big theater fans. Our real jobs outside this are pretty boring 😆.

    Those Birria tacos looked delicious! I would love to try them one day. We're hoping to be back in WDW for either the Festival of the Holidays 2024 or Flower and Garden 2025. Which one would you guys choose? We're having a hard time deciding. I would really value your input.

    • @ThemeParkFoodies
      @ThemeParkFoodies  Před rokem +1

      For me(Jay), the best time at Disney is during the Holidays. Also, Festival of the Holidays may be my favorite. I'd recommend going during the Holidays but do want to note that it gets insanely packed the closer you get to Christmas. If you're looking to evade the crowds you'll have more flexibility in booking sometime during Flower & Garden. Hope that helped 😃. I can attest to the Birria Tacos tasting as good as they look. Hope you have the best time on your trip!
