Nine lashes I love you guys I grew up, listening to your music at the age of six because my older brother who at the time was a teenager and would listen to your album From Water to War frequently. Now he doesn’t listen to your music at all (which I find is very sad because you guys are an amazing band and I absolutely love your music) now to this day, I listen to your music all the time I play songs that I have listened to the previous day over again I could never get tired of it. Your music gives me a certain feeling that I don’t know how to describe other than a deep joy and happiness. All the songs in your album From Water to War always takes me back when I was a kid, now as a young adult, I’m listening to all the other albums. I never did when I was younger. I am a huge fan of Nine Lashes and always will be and I can’t wait for the day when you guys release a new album God bless Nine Lashes

Where I Belong & Love Me Now were both techno rock & this is similar to that, people just need to remember this is just a single & not the full album, I would think the album will have about 10 rock songs & 2 techno/rock & 'Galaxy' being one of them, either way this track is still quite appealing & I like it.
I'd take this over the "Top 40" crap any day. Sure, it's electronic, but it has more talent than all that autotuned crap that somehow makes it highest on the charts.

From the very begining, the song builds a hype that never lets you down. I love the song. Expecially the lyrics. The catchy beat makes me wanna dance. It feels like the logic continuation to From Water to War. Going a little further from your heavy roots and more into your electronic sound. By the way, I love both sounds. But you guys told us from the begining, Nine Lashes is not about one sound, but the music God inspire you to do, and I love it. Keep on the good work, I'm looking forward to the new album! :)

Honestly not a huge fan of rock bands turning into electronic sounds, but I do like this song. I do wish though that Nine Lashes will continue to do some rock songs and not just all electronic, like a good mix of both would be nice ;) Can't wait to hear more!

@@BRNardy Have they released any song since your comment?, i was a fan when this song was released but after that they disapeared and suddenly they relesade some sporadic songs some years ago, but the band seams dead
the lighter, more catchy vibe of rock I see a lot of bands go towards is not something I dig very much.
However, the backing guitars feel pretty groovy and this is a very well produced song so, I can't complain. I'm sure the next album will have a good variety to balance the pop-y stuff guys. You can't deny the vocals and writing are still top-notch.

for anyone who is panicking that this is going to be a techno themed album, chances are its not. this is the SECOND new song from nine lashes, the first being "Shine". theres a video on youtube of a live performance (now theres three, since ive just checked), and it is not at all a techno song. sadly, only live performances exist of this song at the moment, and the audio isnt that good (the best audio you would get is from a channel called candy 2002, but it is a bit quiet) , but it gives us proof that nine lashes will continue to have their famous style.
now a personal message to nine lashes. i am a fan of a lot of rock bands, but you guys are one of my top three favorites, the others being starset and breaking benjamin. i was absolutly mindblown when listening to your music, and i continue to be blown away by your amazing music

I like your rock sound more than anything, but this isn't awful. I like it a lot. Just don't go completely pop. Still give us things like Anthem of Lonely, Our Darkest Day, and the Lights We Burn

I just got into Christan Rock ✊, and so far other than Thousand Foot Krutch, Nine Lashes is on my top favorite, so I'm glad they are dropping new songs
I don't know why but ever since I listened to this song, I have been acting stranger. Example: I have been breaking everyone's arms when I get angry, but before this song I couldn't even hurt someone when angry
This is a def. different sounding for Nine Lashes and I can dig this and I am excited that this new single is out on my bday and I am excited to hear more new Nine Lashes songs for their new album when it comes around and is released:) I am excited to see these guys tonight for the first time in concert:)

Idk why people are complaining. As a huge fan from the initial release of Escape I love this song. From Water to War had a few pop rock tunes, so I don't see this band completely branching off from what they're known for because they've been doing this style of music the whole time.

From a good band to a dance sound, but honestly after their last release you could tell this is the route they were going. I guess there's not enough artist with this sound yet. Hope the album is a lot heavier like it would be nice to hear a band

I don't know why people are complaining, this song is great. I like the electronica/rock mix. Reminds me of Paralyzed by Finger Eleven, and Famous off Skillet's latest album.
Just listened to the full album, looks like I'm staying with From Water to War for another 2 years.
And if it is that with luck the next album returns to rock, because if it is not thus "from water to war" will be about 4 or 5 years.

Not my favorite song style, but Nine Lashes manages to outperform my expectations every time anyways. With FWTW the single Break the World didn't really inspire my confidence, but then the album came out and I ate my words. Staying on the bright side, I'll keep my hopes up for an album that I can enjoy thoroughly like the rest.

Only recently was introduced to this group by this song. I love the sound and the chorus is catchy. The nice thing about being into most kinds of music, you can find gems in all different genres. For the naysayers; just because a song doesn't fall into the usual sound for a band does not make it shit. Just because you live in the box of a limited perspective on what good music is only makes it YOUR opinion. You don't like the song, don't listen to it. There are a number of songs by other artists that I usually enjoy listening to that I don't like, but it doesn't change my opinion of their music overall; just those select songs. Keep in mind how much effort and inspiration goes into writing music. Now, granted, there are going to be haters who want to tear said 'artists' down for their creation. Put yourself in their position: You just created something you are very proud of, and people are calling it shit because you tried something different with it. Think about how you would feel getting many bad reviews from usual fans. However, because you tried something new you drew in new fans as well. Not saying that the group is all butthurt over some whiny closed-minded individuals who can't appreciate all forms of music, but it is food for thought. :3
If you have such a problem with artists trying different things; try writing music yourself and see how easy it is for you.
Also; Love, love, love this song and have recommended/linked it for others to enjoy as well.
Like everyone else, opening up this video I was expecting some hard rock, but I throughly enjoyed this song! Yes its not the NineLashes we know, but I feel just because its new and unexpected it doesn't mean it needs to be bad. It is only one song too. I don't know if your expanding your genre or changing it, but I'm in for the ride! :)
