Here a com for ref and to thank you again, I'm in love with my seat now, I made the first with fiber glass base, was nice, swaped the battery for a bigger one so made a new seat who looks even better now.
This is awesome. I made a pit bike seat mod for my Rocky Mountain RMX, using two heavy duty industrial tube clamps and two aluminum L profiles to mount the seat to the seat post.
Just tryed mine out today, works like a charm ^^ , but I couldn't find a complete seat, I just got the foam, 3 straps and it holds good. Need to work on a fiberglass base now. Thanks for the tip
Wow this is the best seat mod I've seen so far. This tops the racespec seat add-on.
Thanks for watching and for the positive feedback! I haven’t tried the racespec seat yet but for $40 shipped this was a great alternative that I really enjoy over the stock seat. 🤙🏽🏁🏆
@@KNOBBYtv i just ordered one on ebay, hope i can make it work like you did haha
Awesome video. Thanks for the tip on using a YZ85 seat - just ordered mine from Amazon. Even if I mess it up for the price you can’t go wrong. I like the fact that there are countless seat covers for them as well.
@@highlineR32 looks like it’s currently unavailable (in Canada anyway).
My install turned out better than in this video. I don’t have any straps that go over the seat. I utilized the factory seat hook at the front and left part of the tabs at the back and fastened through them and the Surron frame with a long rod and a pin. It doesn’t move around at all. The seat foam leaves a lot to be desired though. It squishes flat quickly while riding. I’m planning on replacing the foam with a complete new piece(s).
@@GH05TR1DR I’m not sure how that seat mounts. Almost anything can be modified to fit though.
Haha, nice man .... Where did you get that front cover (where your light should be) from ? Looks beautiful !
I just got one on eBay, gonna give it a shot, thanks!!!!!
i upgraded to the float seat .....its way more comfortable than the stock 1....and it raises u up a bit 2....but that extra up-front....would allow for better handling 4 sho....i also have the full belt kit....its quiet az fuk....so far so good at 1300 miles....i also installed 2 waterproof marine switches ...1 to turn the light off....1 to switch from limited to full power
Hi, amazing looking bike. Could I please ask you how you mounted the KTM plastics on surron?
Very cool! Thanks so much for all the details on how you made this happen! What year yz85 would I need to get? Do you happen to have a link for where you purchased it?
I found the seat on Facebook marketplace. The listing said it was for a 2002-2014 yz85. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching! 🤙🏽
@@KNOBBYtv yes that's exactly what I was looking for, thanks! I've been wanting something that would alow me to ride up on tank as well. Like you I find I spend a lot of time riding the very front of the seat and wishing there was a little more there when cornering.
I just bought a new one off Amazon for $30 canadian! At least it will be a cheap experiment. Thanks again.

Hey Great Video! Was wondering if I could get the link to the front number plate that you have on your bike? Thanks!
I’m on my phone at the moment but if you scroll down in the comments you should find the link. Thanks for watching!
I have the seat from racespec sur ron and yeah I like it,I'm in Australia too 😀
That’s awesome! I wish they were more readily available in the States. Thanks for watching!
how did you mount the front fender on the fork? simply
screwed to the original mount or offset higher with a metal sheet?
I traced the holes from the original fender onto the new fender. Since these forks don’t have the traditional cross brace you don’t need to split and raise it up, you can keep it in one piece which is nice.
Thanks for the video! Do you know if this will work on a segway x160?
I believe it will as the main difference between the x160 and the x260 are the forks and wheel size. I believe the frames are the same between the x160, x260 and Sur-Ron X. Thanks for watching!
What do you do for work bro?
Is the yz85 seat bigger/wider than a crf70 seat?
What is the rear fender ?
I wonder I am like 5'10 5'11 Would I still need a seat mod? thanks for the answer
I would say yes, not only for the additional height (as it’s a small bike) but more importantly for the improved riding position!
Hey man your bike looks excellent! 👏 I have been looking for your number plate that fits for ages! Can you tell what the size is and from which dirtbike its from? Greetings from Amsterdam 🇳🇱
Thanks for watching! The number plate and front fender interlock together as a set but you can still use them separately. Search up KTM 65SX front fender or number plate and you’ll find original OEM or aftermarket from Acerbis. I went with the Acerbis.
@@KNOBBYtv Great now i can finally order mine knowing i will get the right one! Last questions.. does the year matter of the 65sx for the numberplate? And that rear fender looks awesome too, the best one i have seen fitted on the Surron, is that also a 65sx rear fender? Thnx in advance.
hye, what is the tail fender of you surron? can you let us the link of this piece please?
You can find other colors out there as well! Thanks for watching! Acerbis Rear Fender - Orange 2250385226 www.amazon.com/dp/B071KT1PCW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_1JPW3WYHZS59D30NV8AD
Is it a ktm 85 or 65 cuz I looked it up it doesn’t look like a 65 front fender and it don’t look like it will fit but then the 85 sx looks like a it will fit and I don’t want a front number plate eathier
What KTM fender is that
how did you get the ktm 65sx front plate to fit on your surron light bee??
The KTM fender and number plate interlock together. Then I just drill a few holes in the plate and zip tie it to the bars and stem of the bike.
@@KNOBBYtv dope man thank you, just got my surron last week the Ktm front plate came in yesterday! Gonna get that to fit on here soon
@@KNOBBYtvhey man having trouble mounting the plate with the fender anyway you could send some pictures my way of how yours is mounted?
@@Jude7k I can make a CZcams short on how I have mine set up. Stay tuned. 🤙🏽🏁
Do you still run this seat?
Did you have to mod the rear fender to put it on?
Yes you need to trim it to fit along the sides to connect it to the frame with zip ties and along the top so that it can bolt to the frame underneath the seat.
Where did u get your rear fender from mate
Google search: KTM 65cc Acerbis Front Fender. I’ve since switch to a larger 85cc fender that looks a bit more in line with the 19” front wheel.
Could you give me the link of the rear fender bc i don’t find them
This is the fender, you could try getting it here. Thanks for watching! www.partsgiant.com/p325085-acerbis-rear-fender
@@KNOBBYtv I don’t find the fender with the side plastics could you tell me an oder website btw love watching you’re vids!
@@styx_btw8561 the side plastics are the rear fender in the link above. Since they are for a larger bike they wrap around nicely on the Surron
What kind of rear fender do you have on it?🔥
@@KNOBBYtv Look nice👌🏼 Is it easy to assemble or are there any difficulties?
i’m 6’0 and i have a 250 rn and wanna get a surron i’m probably gonna do the same thing
I sold my YZ250FX last year and bought the Sur-Ron. I’ve put SO MANY more hours on the Sur-Ron being able to ride it locally and in my yard. Love the gas bikes but electric moto stealth wins. Thanks for watching!
@@KNOBBYtv that’s the exact reason i want a surron instead cus people call the cops on my 250 so i can only bring it to tracks
What year is ur front fender from the ktm 65
@@KNOBBYtv I don’t see we’re it says what year the front fender is u said u go it off a ktm but what year

Talaria Sting as a much better Seat , right ?
the look of the bike overall is perfect- seat mod, rear fender, front plate and bash guards - yeeew!
