If anyone understands the emotions that we felt as gamers while playing AC2 and listening to this track, you experienced one of the greatest moments in gaming history.
Little did we know when we first played it, about 1 hour into the game later... I have to say, the music has a nice hopefulness in it, and at the same time, a sadness in it.
amazing how... everything went downhill exactly from there into a life entrapped by an ancient battle that is ever-lasting as well as a consistent source of pain & suffering His brothers were spared this... they had it easy in comparison to Ezio
Ezio Auditore is one of the greatest game characters ever created in my opinion. This is a fitting tribute to the childhood of everyone who played AC2!
Absolutely, it was the height of AC games and in general one of the few games that managed to evoke an emotional response from me. I was genuinly upset and vengeful about the way his family was betrayed and murdered. Something todays games just don't have that emotional depth.

When I was a young man, I had liberty, but I did not see it. I had time, but I did not know it. And I had love, but I did not feel it. Many decades would pass before I understood the meaning of all three. And now, the twilight of my life, this understanding has passed into contentment. Love, liberty, and time: once so disposable, are the fuels that drive me forward. And love, most especially, mio caro. For you, our children, our brothers and sisters. And for the vast and wonderful world that gave us life, and keeps us guessing. Endless affection, mia Sofia. Forever yours, Ezio Auditore.
When i visited the Florence in 2017, i sat down on the pavement next to Duomo and listened this masterpiece. I felt like i was right next to Ezio and his big brother just like that opening scene. That's how you write a great story. Great job by the story writers of this game. This song gives me goosebumps everytime i listen it.
I have never been to Florence, i just imagined what you just said. I could just feel the peace you may have felt. The story is indeed one of the best !
When my family and I went to Italy in 2017 I was basically in charge of where we went. I insisted on visiting Florence and Rome. I went to the bridge from the start of AC2 where Ezio had a fight, I visited The Cathedral of Santa Maria, I went to Castello Sant'Angelo, the Pantheon and the Colosseum. I was in the square where Ezio's family were executed. It was really surreal and pretty cool. Basically living in my favourite game I first played at 11 years old.
yeah me too, Florence is amazing, the cathedral is the most beautiful church I've ever seen in my life. A true art masterpiece. But one medieval village that impressed me a lot was visiting San Gimignano in Toscana region...oh man...all these middle ages towers, the well, everything felt so beautiful. And I even kind of searched for a secret/hidden entrance that was present in the game haha... to get lost in some of the narrow streets was an unforgetable experience! Being at Rome in that round castle too! The game did such a good job in the architectural accuracy.
We deserve a remaster of AC2. It was the perfect one. Teenage Ezio going after the murders of this family, the plot thickening beyond thoughts. Fighting for his love, he is the true Assassin.

@@ggPescesggi just started AC2 last night and had to listen to this, if you have a ps4/5 it should be in the PS+ game catalog and i think its on game pass if you have a PC or Xbox
I remember the first time watching the presentation of the first AC, they were talking on how the main protagonist (Altair) climbs on the side of buildings, how he grabs every ledge, crevices he can find, how the animations were so fluid. How he walks between civilians so smoothly and goes unnoticed. The era of when PS3’s and X360’s were considered next gen. Games were original back then. The magic will never be the same.

Back in the days, this piece used to remind me of how the good old days of Ezio, him being with his family, have passed away for him, and that moves me every time. But after so many years, now every time I hear it, it reminds me of how the good old days of my own, when I was younger and enjoying the Ezio Trilogy, and the life had lesser things to worry about, have all passed away for me, and so it tears me down just a little bit, every time.
To be fair i feel the same way a lot of the time. Used to play the trioligy a lot when i was younger, but now since that time is gone and i have become an adult, all those good times i had seem so far away.
Damn, I still remember my first time hearing this as a 12 year old kid, it ignites my passion for AC, and more importantly my passion for history. Now I'm 19 and still interested heavily in both, I remember getting into parkour for like three years just because of the AC series, the emotions those games made you feel... Damn. I love the Ezio trilogy. It literally shaped my childhood.
Me neither, I really wish they made a remastered version of the trilogy so we could also experience a better looking version of ezios story and italy is very beautiful so I'd love to see graphical improvements. Hope it happens one day
The best music in any game, ever. cannot even explain the feeling I got the first time I played AC2. I'm jealous of those who are going to experience it for the first time.
For sure you never tried god of war or Halo music. It's not an assumption it's a judgement. This is one super close to that level BTW, right there with the Ezio theme from odyssy.
This song is not just a symbol of Assassin’s Creed, but also a symbol for Ubisoft. Assassin’s Creed 2 is one of the if not the most loved game they ever created
Ever since the Playstation / Xbox generations started, games became more and more connected to our memories Becoming big parts of our childhood and continue to be part of the memory of the younger generations
Altair ibn la ahad, Ezio auditore, Connor kenway, Aveline, Edward kenway, Adewale, Shay Patrick comarc Arno Dorian, Jacob , eve Bayek, aya Alexios, Kassandra, Eivor... 💥💥💥

After the years I played this game I can't forgot it! Long Live Assassins and Templars. It were good times I can play this game! :)
The emotions that this song brings is like Ezio and his family really existed in this world. And all of us keep remembering him whenever this music plays, each and every day, forever.
Hi, Da`Man! Actually this orchestra is more like professional allrounders - yes, they're all classically trained, but also enjoy playing video game music, rap or electro crossover projects or swing! That's the beauty of this radio ensemble - they get to perform so many different styles of music each season. But we DO have a soft spot for gaming music and are happy to have another concert upcoming in January.
@@WDRKlassik gaming music isn't far removed from film scoring which isn't far removed from classical though, so it's really not that far removed as rap or swing, but the diversity in music is why I like your radio ensemble, though nothing wrong with having a soft spot either.

Ikr, why would a movie plot be more realistic than a video game plot. You're damn right!

So true bruv

Altair. Ezio. Edward. Connor. Even Haytham. But most importantly, Desmond. 😊🥲
Then we shall livt together to embrace his legend
even after a decade + 1 who else got goosebumps while listening to this? I am still shivering with this awesome piece !
Me!
I didn't even play the assassin's series but this music peace is just masterful
1:35 i didnt realize it was actually possible to sing that like that, amazing!
That feeling from AC II 💔
"Wir leben ein gutes Leben, Bruder."
"Vielleicht das Beste."
"Möge es sich nie ändern."
"Und möge es uns nie ändern."
'It is a good life we lead, brother'
'The best. May it never change.'
'And may it never change us '

Back in the days, this piece used to remind me of how the good old days of Ezio, him being with his family, have passed away for him, and that moves me every time.
But after so many years, now every time I hear it, it reminds me of how the good old days of my own, when I was younger and enjoying the Ezio Trilogy, and the life had lesser things to worry about, have all passed away for me, and so it tears me down just a little bit, every time.
Hi, Moking!
We are happy to hear you like our music.
WDR Klassik that Korean lady was phenomenal!
To be fair i feel the same way a lot of the time. Used to play the trioligy a lot when i was younger, but now since that time is gone and i have become an adult, all those good times i had seem so far away.
@@emilpedersen8134 and this song always bring back that kind of memory for you for just a few brief seconds.
Me too 😭😭
Bro being a conductor has to be soo much fun
Damn, I still remember my first time hearing this as a 12 year old kid, it ignites my passion for AC, and more importantly my passion for history. Now I'm 19 and still interested heavily in both, I remember getting into parkour for like three years just because of the AC series, the emotions those games made you feel... Damn. I love the Ezio trilogy. It literally shaped my childhood.
I'm 14 right now playing assassin's creed 2 and I'm horrified of subject 16😂
Same... ❤🙏🏽
started with Al tahir ( modern day Jerusalem) to Ezio in Italy and the brotherhood continue to spread
1:49 You feel Ezio's pain, suffering, love, passion and grief for his family all at once....
This instantly made me cry. I will never forget the moments I spend playing Ezio Auditore Da Firenze. One of the best gaming moments I ever had.
so true...
We share the same feeling
Me neither, I really wish they made a remastered version of the trilogy so we could also experience a better looking version of ezios story and italy is very beautiful so I'd love to see graphical improvements. Hope it happens one day

It just hits
“My story is one of many thousands, and the world will not suffer if it ends too soon.”
― *Ezio Auditore da Firenze*
Ezio was the best AC character in the series and his arc was by far the most intriguing
1:49 that high note though....
Amazing.
And then how the violin accompanies her voice, simply beautiful.
Literally brought tears when the high violin played right after it too
The best music in any game, ever. cannot even explain the feeling I got the first time I played AC2. I'm jealous of those who are going to experience it for the first time.
To relive that game would be an absolute blast.. AC 2 is probably one of my most rated games
@@thejaded I wish I could just forget the game and experience it all over again
For sure you never tried god of war or Halo music. It's not an assumption it's a judgement. This is one super close to that level BTW, right there with the Ezio theme from odyssy.
@@doctorquantum9172 I've played both of those, and it's just my personal opinion that Ezio's family is the best game music ever!
I have never played ac2 but i love this song i have downloaded ac ezio collection gonna play tommrow
This song is not just a symbol of Assassin’s Creed, but also a symbol for Ubisoft. Assassin’s Creed 2 is one of the if not the most loved game they ever created
Don't know about the symbols and all that. A corrupt company like ubisoft does not deserve such a pure composition as its symbol.
How is Ubisoft corrupt?

The emotions that this song brings is like Ezio and his family really existed in this world. And all of us keep remembering him whenever this music plays, each and every day, forever.
This theme is an absolute masterpiece... NOTHING IS TRUE, EVERYTHING IS PERMITTED ❤
Jesper Kyd you can be proud of yourself, your music is being played by classical profesionalists :)
Still listening in 2021, still get goosebumps. Such a masterpiece.

Ezio Auditore is the best Assassin of the Assassin's Creed franchise. Discuss.
No discussions man

Miglior mix di trama musiche personaggi e coinvolgimento in un videogioco / best combination of story, music , characters and involvement about a videogame
yeppp and Black Flag is the best game( I love AC2 and brotherhood ) but that game is next level but Ezio is the most loved character among fans and he is nostalgic
