Golden Sun's story follows a band of magic-attuned "adepts" who are sent from their home town into the wide world of Weyard to prevent the potentially destructive power of alchemy from being released as it was in the past. Along the way the adepts gain new abilities, help out the local populations, and learn more about why alchemy was sealed away.

2020 and this song still never gets old.... sigh so many memories smh I can't believe I'm crying now. This game was everything to me, the songs in this game was marvelous and exquisite, what a masterpiece this game was and is. The theme song when you explore through the map makes me think of my lil cousin.... she always watched me play till she went to sleep. I love you Amanda😊

Played these 2 brilliant games (Golden Sun 1/2) on the GBA back as a kid. Countless hours, countless fun, countless memories, countless AAA batteries. Always in my top 5 games of my life. This theme is literally at the back of my head till now.
there's something weird about this song. The first time i listened to it i thought it was rather weak for an overworld theme. Then i found my self singing it unconsciously. Years later i still listen come to youtube to listen to it from time to time. Wtf, brain.

If you lowered the key a bit & listen to it in the middle of the night, you will find yourself crying because of all the childhood memories.. At least that's for me

It is 2024, and I'm still waiting for a remake and IV. Please Camelot and Nintendo, bring back all those Epic Soundtracks, Story, Characters and Gameplay!
Memories as a kid playing this outside with friends who had gameboy colors then ganeboy advances from pokemon to this. Now Im a 30 yr old and this tune is my wife's ringtone heh patiently waiting for next golden sun.
When I get bored on some days and remember Golden Sun, I always hum this tune because its been pounded into my mind by so much travelling to fight monsters

The perfect song for an epic adventure.
Some of Nintendo's amazing series are shut down for good because of a single game which does not meet the sales milestone. Take Fire Emblem for example. I heard that Awakening was supposed to be the last game of the series. But all designers decided to go gung-ho and integrated all ideas they had saved for Fire Emblem, especially the option of Casual mode, which resulted in one of the most amazing games, attracting thousands of old and new players. A single game which saved the entire 22-year-old series, it's like the return of a legend. Awakening's success paved way for Fates, Echoes, Warriors, Heroes, and Three Houses. I hope that Golden Sun also has the same great return as well.
That's the difference. With Fire Emblem Awakening a vast amount of effort was done for that game, with Dark Dawn it was half assed and let alone on a console that was on its way out. If DD was given the same amount of effort as Awakening, there is no doubt in my mind we would've gotten a 4th game.

Unfortunately more sword guys would piss off the regular smash fan base. Personally I say fuck em, I want Isaac, Felix, or SOME GS character in already. I don't want the series to go forgotten...
Dapperfex eh, to be fair, his moveset would most likely revolve mostly around Psynergy and Djinn with a few sword attacks here or there, so if the fanbase saw that they'd really have no reason to complain

My first game in the series was Golden Sun 2. I remember loving this song and wondering why it only played on the Idejima Peninsula not knowing that it was the previous game's overworld music.

I want the same kind of 2d graphics but this time with a voice acting, i feel like if they try to make it 3d the exploring and outside of battle psynergy usage would be off. I mean the atmosphere of the golden sun world wouldnt be the same
Beautiful theme. It just oozes with adventure.
I would pay top dollars for a HD remaster of Golden Sun and The Lost Age on the Switch. It would also be so much easier to transfer data. Like, You could start with The Lost age if you wanted, or you could just Finish Golden Sun 1, and when you start TLA, the game would offer you to load your GS1 save data.
They could also implement some stuff in GS1 that was only originally available in TLA, such as the New Game plus feature (Called Easy mode in this game) as well as Hard mode.
I like this theme more than GS2's over world theme, though the theme that plays while on the boat is pure bliss

This song was used in a bootleg NES port of...Diablo II, of all games.
Forget about GS IV, it can't be good, it won't be good and it shouldn't be good, it shouldn't be at all.
Great GS story was told in two books, and that's it.
GS IV is necessary because Alex needs to be destroyed. Painfully.
