ATTENTION: I'm aware that I missed 4 zombies and defeating Yawn during Mansion 1. I simply forgot to kill these enemies. This was a mistake that I didn't actually realize until I was finished recording the video and the commentary. I will redo the run eventually.

Glad to see this one finished. I knew that Jill got way more ammo then Chris but it was interesting to realize how much more she gets. Having seen the Chris run recently seeing Jill get 6 flame rounds in the 002 bathroom while Chris gets 15 handgun bullets was pretty funny as well.
One thing I find interesting after playing the remake so recently, is that in this version you don’t suspect Barry so much as he’s there when UNrico gets shot. In the remake, they lead you to believe it could be Barry all the way up til Wesker tells us he threatened his family.
Hell yeah, I was waiting for this one, really enjoyed the kill all series. The Chris advanced run was really fun!

I loved seeing these runs my dude. I had the og directors cut when I was like 13 and Advanced mode was too tough at first after I beat normal. I beat it casual since but I love how you've broken it down so efficiently. Good content as always carci!

Ive watched this play-through more times than I admit and Ive never even played the original RE. Something about the calmness of these videos makes me want to just play them in the background while I play the switch.
I've always wondered why the FMV that introduced hunters has different building layout where there's a gap between the walls that let the hunter to go inside the building instead of opening the door to get in like Jill did. Great walkthrough as usual by the way.
Noticed that too after looking at a few of the videos on the RE1 beta. I’d guess the player actually was supposed to encounter Yawn there when the FMV was made and the game layout went through a redesign after and they left it in.
@@lostinthegrave7462 Yeah that makes sense. The positioning will allow players to maneuver around yawn had they kept the design.
@@Wraith2160 I just remembered seeing one beta where there were only three emblems to get into the courtyard so it's definitely possible.

Hey man. When I was little I was ill alot and used to play re3 on ps1 when I was home from school. I'd try to see how fast I could do it. Now I'm in my 30s and I don't get sick much but when I get sick your videos make me feel so much more cosy and nostalgic.

It's kinda weird how they handle the first zombie in Jill's game, especially in the remake where they add a quick shot of the zombie apparently going back into the hall after Barry shoots it even if you killed it before going back into the dining room
If they ever do another remake of RE1 I think the way they should handle it is if you lead it back to Barry, he kills it and it's dead, but if you kill it yourself Barry will come into the hall because he heard gunfire and sees the zombie as well as Kenneth's body
I'm a nurse and do 12hr night shifts, love having your videos on while at work. Helps me day dream about being home and playing resident evil. Have to say, I don't think I've ever played arranged mode. Gotta give it a shot

Guard House/Researchers Quarters is an underrated area. I always liked it. Kinda like a mini mansion level.

God, I remember having the first Resident Evil for the psx on platinum disc and being too terrified to play it. One night I had a nightmare that a zombie appeared at the top of the stairs in the house I grew up in, and it resembled the first zombie you encounter in the game. I went into a blind panic and woke up.
At 25:57, the multiple pause cancels almost "double flash/play" the head exploding animation.
Like watching/listening to these re1 jill vids. I have them playing along with other players re1 jill vids on my tv while job searching. I noticed you said you were running out of shells after the 2 hour mark I think. You for some at the 1:13:19 mark when you went into the room to change outfits. You forgot to go left and use the lock-pick to get those shells from the desk drawer.

Biohazard something which helps is during the beginning I'll use my knife to conserve on all guns ammo I know I'm going to need later in the game .
now I haven't unlocked every reward in fact I'm curious to know how many there are in this game it's good having the buddy system against living dead .

Can someone please help me I'm playing resident evil 1 original and the eagle medallion just vanished out of existence in the game. I got it out of the white book and then I put it in my storage box and then just vanished out of my storage box and it's not my inventory I've looked everywhere in the game and I can't find it what happened did Barry take it or something?
