    Absorption refrigerators don't use Freon, they have an ammonia solution that works on heat (vs pressure).
    When my 2nd Dometic went out, I replaced it with a compressor one (12VDC/24VDC/120VAC) with auto-transfer. Love it, and it will work up to 30° off level, and cools down in an hour.

  • @WTrager
    @WTrager Před 4 lety +1

    The blue switch is your breaker for the converter/transfer switch, not the inverter. The converter, converts12v battery to 110 volt, and the transfer switch transfers between the 2 panels (AC and DC). It converts everything except the air conditioner which is 120 volt. That blue breaker is the main breaker of the AC panel. BTW - unless you have solar with an inverter installed, there is no fuse in your panel for the inverter, which has its own line fuse.

  • @Sn0w1981
    @Sn0w1981 Před 6 lety +3

    Great deal! I love campers. And that thing is going to be nice! The thing under the chair is a 12v DC to 110V AC converter. For the lights and pump etc.. when not plugged into the mains. Also look into getting LOTS of solar panels on top so you always have full batteries.

    Great video guys and YES I WANT ONE JUST TO SAY "SH*TTERS FULL!" on a regular basis (TANK FULL OR NOT!). Plan on buying robe, boots and HAT to match the legend "UNCLE EDDIE"!! Nice Breaking Bad bit there as well but maybe throw a couple strips of duct tape on door just for kicks?? Can't remember if you guys said V6 or 22r/re. Honestly, I'd like to snag a 22R and throw a Weber Carb kit, header and nice pipe kit on it. I've done a few Toy & Nissan trucks with this rather cheap mod (under $1200 total) and power is impressive. MPG, believe it or not, actually improved tremendously as long as you keep your foot out of it. Climbing hills always bugs me just because I've seen slow rv/cars get hit from behind by careless drivers. Anyway, great video and great attitudes as well, thank you.

I'd store it in a garage during the fall and winter months while traveling in it during the spring and summer months, starting it from time to time, to make sure everything works like they should. :)

Being this old i would probably keep a few extra fuses and relays handy so you dont get stuck somehwere over something simple. Otherwise a oil flush is probably always recommended. Usually and with the low miles these sit for a long time and the oil and bushings go bad from not being used or lubricated. I beg to differ. There are ALWAYS deals out there on just about anything. RVs are one of the better deals you can get because of many reasons. Some people don't care and just want it gone ASAP, have no idea what it's worth and just don't care about the money. I could go on and on with more reasons but I'll just leave you with this. Customer of mine who specializes in exotic cars actually paid MORE for a Ferrari he found on Craigslist! No joke or "BS". OF COURSE HE WAS SKEPTICAL WHEN HE SAW THE AD. It wasn't too far away so he made contact with owner and it was so far so good. Guy didn't ask for a bank transfer to Nigeria or any nonsense at all. Told my customer he would pull the ad until the following weekend so he could come review the Ferrari in person and owner DID! My customer took truck with trailer "just in case" and arrived at the arranged time Saturday. Car was EXACTLY as discribed & discussed. My customer was feeling VERY guilty about the price and told the man he was way below value and said "I will buy the car but I'm going to give you $3000 MORE because it was in such great shape and would only need a few minor repairs cosmetic & mechanical wise." YES! The owner was a bit taken aback and apparently appreciated the offer SO MUCH he took the money THEN HANDED BACK $1000! His reasoning was he appreciated my customers sincere honesty and wanted EVERYONE to come out ahead. SO! Crazy and HONEST things do happen. No title issues or anything and everyone walked away happy. Topped off tires and did a oil change, flushed the brake lines (and tested brakes), drained and flushed coolant system right there on the spot even. Ironically, my customers wife ended up driving it back to their house with ZERO issues. Aaaaaand she opened the door right into a POLE in his oversized garage! Minor "ding" but didn't crease or chip paint so his "dent pro" just rubbed it out. Long of the short (too late I know!), It never hurts to ASK/INQUIRE. ONE NEVER KNOWS! Just don't send/wire any Prince in Algeria or wherever. DEALS HAPPEN.
