.I had never seen so many hunters together. Thousands of pieces must have remained in that place after those wars, friends. Especially bullet heads, uniform buttons, coins and other things. Blessings to the whole team.

Many amazing finds, but I like JT's colonial iron stirrup the best! Definitely a rare find. Should clean up great with electrolysis. Happy hunting!

I was there on that hunt too, but looks like you guys got into a lot more finds than we did. I did however find a US box plate, which made it worth the trip.

Man i live in Staunton Va and I dont know anyone around here but myself that loves to metal detect. My problem is idk where i can go around here for old stuff.
Look for old home sites that date back in time. The library or local courthouse can be a great resource for this. :) Good luck and thank you for stopping by ATB - David

do you guys discriminate when you hunt there or do you dig everything? I saw that one guy dug up an iron stirrup.
Hello Schatzsucher :) Yes we discriminate very low just 1 notch for small nails in home sites. Now iron stirrups will give a high tone because of the hollowed area it has. We find more of them in home sites than any other place. Thanks for stopping by ATB - David
