  • Today I paint a Necron Scarab Swarm from Indomitus in a custom dynasty colour scheme.
    Colours Used =
    Mephiston Red, Leadbelcher,
    Abaddon Black, Eshin Grey,
    Dawnstone, Administratum Grey,
    Runefang Steel, Evil Sunz Scarlet,
    Flash Gitz Yellow, White Scar,
    Fire Dragon Bright, Nuln Oil
    and Carroburg Crimson
    Brushes Used =
    Old Brush (no idea what it was)
    Medium Base Brush (Citadel)
    Hobby Drybrush (Army Painter)
    Detail Brush (Army Painter)
    Insane Detail Brush (Army Painter)
    Medium Shade Brush (Citadel)

      Thanks, I wasn't 100% on it when I finished but it's definitely grown on me since. I'm glad you like it

    Aaah nice, finally! BTW the first red drybrush is noticeable at the end? I 'm gonna try to do first the nuln oil and later the dry, i'ts seems like a weak korne red

      The red isn't as noticeable as it should have been and I put that down to not drybrushing enough of it. It's visible in a couple of places, mostly on the larger pieces but didn't break up that black surface the way I planned. Yeah it's worth trying it the other way round or just doing the metallic bits only with the oil, let me know how it turns out. Thank for leaving a comment, I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

    Blue tac? What is that please?

      It's an adhesive putty normally used to hang posters or notices which is easily removed and reusable. It doesn't so much stick to things as it does just cling to it, if it's only used for a short time it shouldn't leave residue. I think the non brand name is sticky tack.
