I was rooting for leather face in this one. Couldn’t stand the main girl Mel. Gore and kills were good. Also I didn’t think them bring the original girl back worked like it for the Halloween and scream reboots

Yeah, Evil Dead man's just produced it. He was gonna direct it and write it, but the studio didn't agree with his vision and or story. So, another dude made the movie. I feel like if the Evil Dead remake director made this movie, shit would be tight. The story would be good, gore would be insane, and I feel like there would be more going on. One can dream!

@@TheMikeLawz just like what happened to Doctor stranger multiverse of madness, the original directer already had the sequel years prior. But then multiverse shit happened and he was force to direct it but didnt accept it, it was then given to Sam Raimi. Ngl it was lame af 💀💀💀💀

Mel's death was the most satisfying for me because she was such a bitch for 2/3 of the movie and had the audacity to wield The Saw™️, her actress did an amazing job portraying the character, I don't hate the actress I hate the character, so her death was just the best. Favorite kill if the entire movie

@@marcusfaze she was a bitch to her sister for 3/4 the movie and only cared about her when they were gonna die, she fucking sucks, she was a garbage human being that probably would have kept treating her sister like a child for the rest of their lives if it hadn't been for LF, and then she got what was coming to her. Deserved
This one was intense but it was ok. I didn't think it was a bad movie. I gave it a 6 and a half out of 10
If I rated it solely on the movie alone I’d probably stick it with a 6 too

Seen a lot of people hate this and honestly I'm a part of the camp. Like yeah its competently shot but also it tries to tie its way into the original so much despite just being so much not like it that I cant help but feel sour towards it.

Cinematography and kills are a definite step up from the previous two films but they're forgetting the family element of the earlier films which made the franchise unique. Leatherface is a killer, yes, but he's not an independent killer. He's the guard dog of his family, beaten down but obedient without question.

What I can say about this movie is it's at least better than a lot of his other movies. The 2003 remake is my favorite.
I thoroughly enjoy this one for stylish and creative direction and kills, but the story sucks. I like that the tone is completely new though, the ending was somehow intentionally funny? Very bad movie but highly entertaining. It feels like they’re making fun of Halloween 2018

Did you know there’s a post credit scene in the movie? After the credits, it shows Leatherface walking to the house from the original movie.
original tcm: atmospheric, brooding, leatherface isn't the only scary thing, feels like you're watching a documentary, violence is understated, leatherface is basically a child who doesnt understand what hes doing, which makes it even scarier, all time classic of the genre and a genuinely unnerving experience

This was too trope heavy and the inconsistencies got on my nerves, how can a chainsaw that was stored in the wall for decades be so quiet while idling. Did that old lady rearrange her organs? It kinda feels like a spoof that takes itself seriously. Had fun laughing at it though 3/10
This film didn't know what it wanted to be! It doesn't even fit the TCM cannon (well the previous film didn't either). It's just so try hard and mixed bag that is ultimately just an excuse to slice some meat bags. At least the Next Generation, a mess itself, pulled you in into its weirdness and vibe, this one just didn't know what to be and Ultimately is just an excuse for violence and to cash in on that Halloween success!

I watched this movie at 9 and I wasn't scared at ALL. Then again, I've always loved horror. The funny thing was that I cried after watching the captain marvel movie with the shape shifting aliens 😅😅😅 I was scared of my family because I thought they were aliens 😅😅😅😅😅

Rictor was the best part of the movie.
