Sony uses a bi-urinal microphone in two positions to calculate height, and the reviews are that Sony has some of the best spacial audio, yet at a very competitive entry point, hence the value. Most Americans do not have a dedicated home theater, and are willing to mortgage the home, or get a second loan, while Sony Bring Cinema Home use of soundbars, speakers, headphones, tvs projectors, and AVRs bring a new technology into the biz, from a large innovative company.

Trinnov have Waveforming, but there is another High End brand : Storm Audio with their Processor & Amp Line Up with Dirac A.R.T. Also for the ,,high end,, cinemas in terms of price

Have they resolved the issue where there is 3 to 5 second delay when playing atmos music and switching songs.
That is news to us. We have played numerous Atmos streaming tracks with no problem and just played the new Atmos Dark Side bluray all the way through with no issues. Thanks for watching
Is it as good for strict two channel as well? Is it a balanced differential design? Asking for those of us who have mixed systems?
Sorry, still waiting to hear back from Trinnov if it is fully balanced, we think it is but want to be 100% positive. And yes, it sounds excellent in 2 channel. They even make a two channel only piece with bass control and their room optimization that sounds great too.
Heard back, great answer: Yes, it is fully balanced. It's good that someone asked since some processors with XLR outputs are not fully balanced - they just want to look like they are

Great video! How many channels do you need to run waveforming? In most rooms 4 front subs and 4 in the back will do the job, but how many channels does in need then?

Many of the Lexicon and Meridian surround processors were flagships in the old Dolby 5.1 era or even the pre Dolby Digital era when you had Dolby Pro-Logic. In the immersive audio era (Atmos and DTS:X) nothing beats Trinnov although you pay a hefty price for the last bit of performance. I have an Altitude32 system, and it’s 15% better than a Monolith HTP-1 which is 15% than the Yamaha CX-A5100 which is 15% better than my previous gen Sony ES receiver.
You can pair Trinnov processors with Meridian speakers or JBL/Revel (Lexicon) speakers.
@@AlanBCDang NO THANK YOU I AM PERFECTLY HAPPY USING MY MERIDIAN 861 v8 WITH ALL THE SURROUND MODES THAT IT HAS, ESPECIALLY AMBISONICS, TRIFIELD, AND ALSO THEIR USE OF MMHR CONNECTIVITY IS UNPARALLELED IN THE AUDIO INDUSTRY, THEIR EXPERIENCE OF WRITING IN HOUSE SOFTWARE FOR THEIR COMPONENTS FOR YEARS HAS GIVEN THEM AN EDGE, COUPLE THAT WITH THEIR EXPERIENCE WITH DIGITAL AUDIO SPEAKERS e.g.) THE 800 SERIES ... MAKES THEM A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH.
NOTE:- I suggest you read white papers written by both Robert Stuart and Professor Malcolm Omar Hawksford to see how much strides they have made regarding their digital technological components. !
