One word flashbangs
Seems like the weapon they really need is some sort of modified flashbang, one that is smokeless and just flashes. Throw that in the midst of the unsuspecting nocturnals and flash them into oblivion.
The ominous “rocket money” as if stating the name of an arch enemy. Lmao!
The moment he mentioned falling through walls, being in the right place at the right time, I INSTANTLY thought of the backrooms. (more specifically, the, "we never should have discovered the Back Rooms" creepy pasta), and then the mentioning of the basement wall that flickered made me realize it was actually him!

I'll be honest, for a long time now I've genuinely wanted to hear from Garrett, Carter, and Alex again in this franchise after hearing the Ground Grabber story and the Backrooms story. I was actually worried about these boys lol. I was sad hearing what happened to Garrett, but overall it was a great story as usual! Wonder if Brawn will go up against the Nocturnals in the future

I think Alex could be the main character in the story you did a while ago about the
backrooms or "the expanse". He mentions he got stuck there twice and finally got out the second time and found a facility. There's an exact story where that happens to a character from a story a couple of months ago. Wonder if it's a coincidence.

yeah, let's Scooby-Doo this and split up so we can get picked off easier. and don't bring the flash-bangs, they make to much noise and concussions while putting off that blinding light. Don't use those blinding lasers either, that would be kinda unethical, you know, monsters have feeling and shit. Leave all those frags behind too, gotto get in more hand to hand for experience. Matter of fact, just forget the military training so we can have time to question authority, discuss and argue about what we're doing while placing everyone in more jeopardy. This way it'll be all dramatic and shit while the helo's fires in AGM-65 Maverick missiles at the targets.

Ok, so that’s why they used a rocket. I can understand that. And yet an ending that wasn’t quite the worst I’ve heard, but definitely not some I’d expect from Mills. And truly the whole story could’ve used some more detail as to the Nocturnals abilities. It’s not groundbreaking that they could assimilate a human, dozens of cryptids and religions can do that. But their only weakness being light, and the fact that the weapons they created weighed 15lbs? Who is doing their defense contracting? Another division who desperately needs Stark Industries help. Also, why take the time to tell someone that it’s not their time, when you’ve already got them pissing themselves? It seems like that would be a better time to take them, before they learn of your actual existence. Ahh, that’s all I care to write about that one. I guess it could have been better, but also could have been worse.
