- This colt was born to Ruby Too on Easter Sunday. I checked them after church and found Ruby had a retained placenta. We took care of that and all was well. Three months later, Ruby was found dead in the pasture. Her two pasture mates adopted and raised this colt.

The fact he joined up so fast is proof of his excellent breeding. Brains and beauty, best combination
“Don’t need a pet. I already have a dog.” Love it!
🎯
Jason, you're a bad ass dude! I love your horsemanship. I've got a name suggestion for the colt. "Ruby's Red Rock" The name "Ruby"for obvious reason, his mother's name was Ruby. "Red" because of his color. Then "Rock". because he was born on Easter Sunday in representation of the stone that was rolled away in honor of our Lord's resurrection. Just a thought. 🤷🏾♂️ Man, I love horses.
Great name!
Awesome name! ❤
Best advice: always stop at a good place. It was good to see him smack his lips and lick at the end of the session. Good job! I think Ruby’s Final CD would be a good name for this colt. I’m looking forward to more training videos on this youngster.
Or Ruby’s Easter Final CD ♥️
You could call him Finn ❤️
Beautiful colt, question..where his mom Ruby was a clone, can he be registered.
Don't know why but to me the colt looks like a 'Jax'. Strong name!
Beautiful mover! Pretty well put to gether foal. Not overly impressed with training methods. Sorry
Jason, that’s a beautiful horse. Thank you for bringing us along on your daily life on your ranch. Every American should watch these videos. Live and learn
Imprint is the moms job, respect will save their ass.
You earned that respect rather quickly!! Unreal how quick he came around, That’s the difference in an animal with good genes and one that is from slug parents!Again Thank You Jason for sharing your ranch life with us ! I hope and pray that your wife is still making progress and feeling much better!
You are the most capable,
kind, and humble man
I've seen in a long, long, time.
I love you with an Agape love and would cross a continent
just to spend time with you
to learn from you, but
would probably fall in love,
and your wife would be mad,
so that won't do.
God bless you in life.
Kindness, gentlessness,
and deep down horse understanding are so rare.
You have these qualities in spades.
You have so many jobs on the ranch and your passion about doing each individual task the best of your ability is always evident. You really are a good teacher, you always explain why you do what you are doing and what result you expect to achieve. Since he was born on Easter, I Love the name RESUR as he was born on Resurrection Sunday.
Rubi-resx! IMPRESSED!
What a beautiful, young colt Jason. Gentleness sure does appear to win the day. Stay Healthy and enjoy the colt's advancement! -Bob...
I like Ruby's Final CD, call name Finn as suggested already. Quit on a high is what we always do w/our heelers too. Looks like a great session to me. Definitely was happy and seeking your attention.
I pulled in tight. You have a colt with Quiet eyes, alert, as you say, locked on to you. I'm an old lady, 50 years out of this, but had a stud for 4 years among others from pre & during 4H & hi school rodeo, until I married a Marine in 69. You make me smile as I slide back through memories into early 1950s. Thank you. 💖🐎🇺🇸
Thanks for watching!
“Ruby’s Resurrextion” call him Rex... Ruby and the easter story...... you should totally do a Series with his training. I agree with you. I want a horse not a pet!!!
Love this name idea! He could absolutely be a Rex! Casting my vote for Rex! 💙
🏆
My first thought was Ruby's Resurrection. He is going to make a great horse
Great choice for a name. 👍
He is so awesome, you did such a great job with him! Can’t wait to follow his journey
You always amaze me, your patience and knowledge. Your horse sensed that, turned him right around. Outstanding video. Thanks for the tag along !
Nicely done. Everyone has their own ways and do what works for you. When you took the rope off and turned your back he started licking and chewing and you had his ears. Good lockup. Good finish for the day. Thanks for the ride along.
Love how you teach everyone with explaining history on your horses.
Name: Reloaded Sunshine
Your videos are awesome!
Thank you for bringing us a long.
A long what? Oh snap! You were trying to say along. Sorry 'bout that.
This may seem like a normal day to you but to me, it was breathtaking. The making of a relationship with this animal is truly heartfelt. Dammit, you know how to pull on the heartstrings. LOL
Ruby's Last Stand. You already know it but you are doing it right. I'm an old lady and still starting mule colts. I can't ride them anymore, I'm too stove up but I can get the ground work done and saddle them up, or harness the drafts, even drive them a little. I still work on their feet, as in trim them, but this year the feet are taking too much out of me. Especially on the green ones. Mules are a little more sensitive about feet. I sure enjoy watching you. I learn a lot but its also confirmation for what I do too. Thanks for spending the time to share with everyone and I want to win those spurs even though I can't ride. They'll look good hanging on the wall.
Ruby's Easter Red. I like the way ya handle your babies. Ole school. Let them tell you when they are ready! Makes for a better Horse in the long run! Thank you 💝 for your tube channel.
Resurrection Red. This guy has personality and spunk. He is a testament to his mama and will do just fine following in her footsteps. Was a real pleasure to watch the video.
Thanks for watching!
Thank for your videos,I like the way you handle your animals.I’m veteran and a retired ranch hand. Thank you so much
Well Done! I like how you think, and work. This video says it ALL! That colt has a really kind eye. He will be "Bomb Proof" when he's finished. Condolences on your loss of Ruby. Name idea.....Ruby's Roll That Rock Away. barn name.....Rollie. Looking forward to the rest of his journey.
Awww! Jason you did amazing! New BFF! I totally agree, always leave them wanting more. As hard as it is, it is absolutely the best way to train. With pups, it's let them "win" the last thing/toy whatever. Then just normal routine. I think we all know that little guy is gonna be something great. 💙
need a horse not a pet great words love the boldness of this channel great video really enjoyed it
That man is the last of a dying breed, love your work
You're an amazing horseman Jason.
That was awesome ! Love the teaching Jason..I’m just fascinated by the whole ranch lifestyle. I guess because I always loved this kind of stuff since I was a kid.
So great to see how you turned him around in such a short period of time. God bless
Ruby's Empire ❣
Great content Jason!! That was amazing!!
If the little colt was born on Easter Sunday then my name suggestion would be-:"Christo Rey" God bless you and thanks for your most informative videos -Thank you! Pete
Wow.. it never gets old... that feeling of when they finally decide to trust you. It's amazing to see every single time. Especially when someone does it like it Should be done with kindness and respect. You are an amazing horse trainer. ❤
It's refreshing to know to see someone work and work with a horse. So few left.

Kept me a waiting this morning!!
Beautiful.... patience is key and like you said...knowing when to let them take it all in and end on a positive..great video. I have never owned a horse but am getting ready to buy one...I will use you videos to help me along the way. I hope I can do as well as you have. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video
Nice Job Nice Horse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great episode. Always great to see a horseman show how he starts a colt rather than seeing some horseback PT Barnum halter & lead rope salesman show how they do it. This remains one of the most authentic CZcams segments that I follow. You are not trying to sell merchandise and you don’t really care what the CZcams trolls say or think. They have a mouthful of criticism, you simply share your experience. I always learn something. .
Thanks, John!
👍👍 great work.
Great job, I work em the same way. Me and my wife enjoy your vids, you are a good horseman. Thanks for sharing your videos,.
Patient, Consistent, Persistent, Reliable = Trust, the foundation for a lifelong relationship. You are a very lucky man.
I should have stuck with country life and farming. downright
He didn't allow any distractions or interference during and after labor that wasn't absolutely necessary. Socializing yes but no handling or no halters for the little ones until they were curious about us or six weeks old. He was big on learning the body language and mannerisms of animals.
Wow!
Man that was great, really interesting
Great video
Should name him Easter Sunday!!!
Call him Easter Reloaded. Love it! 💜
AWwwww I remember when he was born. He sure did turn out handsome! So sorry to hear about Ruby II I know you're not cloning anymore...err can't clone anymore. Really great to hear the other mares in the pen took him on, it's important for younglings to imprint on someone other than a human imo.
He did. Thank you!
I knew you couldn't clone deer any longer but I thought it was still legal to clone horses?
Nice colt. I Really enjoy your content.
RUBBY'S LILY OF THE VALLEY
Nice job.
Great audio, nice and clear also..
Very nice colt
Really nice conformation on your colt! Is great to see the right amount of pressure and release, and him coming around nicely for you. He’s a good one!
Sorry about his dam. 🥺
Thank you!
BIGSEE Johnson- good idea about the rock in the name….what about it rolling away?….so, maybe Rock ‘n Roll CD…or Ruby’s Rock ‘n Roll?…..or somethin’ totally unrelated- Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door?
Thanks a beautiful creature ❤️
One of your 1st video I seen.. I love it.. I subscribed 👍🏽
Thanks for watching!
Good job .dog gone nice put together colt. Hated to hear that mare died. Stay healthy Jason. Blessings on you guys. As ever just Tom 🤠
Having them horses a little scared of you is how I also train them colts. They pay attention and respect your ques. I like watching horsemens working horses. I like where you quit. I think he's gonna faster than you think.
