Big NEWS:
The High Speed Boat DESTRIERO is not more visible in front of the ship hall at Lürssen shipyard.
The reason for parking and storage of this speed boat at Lürssen shipyard since 2009 is unfortunately not known.
Now 14 years later something will happen with the high speed boat, maybe back into water for scrapping or transport or the speedboat will be part of a museum.

First rumor 05.09.23: At the moment Destriero will be scrapped at Lurssen Lemwerder.
15.10.2023 Destriero was scrapped totally and the parts were transported by trucks to the scrap dealer.

Eine wirklich interessante Geschichte mit der Yacht. Sehr beeindruckend sind die technischen Daten, mit der Antriebsleitung sind heute Kreuzfahrtschiffe ausgestattet. Die sind dann aber nicht so schnell.🙂 Bin gespannt was nun aus der Yacht werden soll. Daumen hoch für das Video! Gruss inselvideo.
Vielen Dank! Ja das ist in Vegesack/Lemwerder das grösste Geheimnis. Keiner weiss warum das Boot vom Aga Khan hier ankam und dann draussen geparkt wurde ohne Pflege/Service. Und was ist nun nach 14 Jahren anders? Es bleibt spannend. Zumal das Boot ein dreckiger Schandpfleck war wenn man mit den Boot die Weser fuhr. Das erste was man von der Lürssen Werft sah, dieses dreckige vergammelte Schiff🙈. Und jeder fragte sich was ist das für eine Story dahinter. Gruss DrDuu

Over the 14 years no further details or rumors were given...unfortunately...but I think we will see the way forward soon. I don't think that the boat will be restored for a museum...
The Boat is scrapped, I've seen it yesterday at the scrapyard Hinnerk Schmidt GmbH Dibbersen
Thanks for the information. This was also my assumption as we didn’t see it anymore.
It's completely ripped appart, only the turbines and the jets are intact.
Its a big pile of aluminium now.
When you want a part, you can go there and buy a piece bevor it's gone forever
