👇 Brindle 👇
You can steal a Brindle Thoroughbred from the O'Driscoll Boys who'll ambush you heading towards Strawberry. Most likely to happen during Chapter 2
Players are reporting that it is possible for the race lady to spawn twice meaning you can steal her first horse and she will still spawn for the second race! Two free brindle's anyone?
If you know any more sites with useful information, let me know so I can add it to the list. - Hry
I like that the thoroughbred is nervous around predator animals, warning me of predators before I can actually see them.
Metal Gamer same
coward horse i sold Rachael right after i reach max boding that bitch buck me off when predator comes i died a lot by cougers hand and lawman
Reactivity is not always bad. As you say it can be helpful if you pay attention to your horse. I appreciate an early warning system too :)
I guess mine is broken. Cause she only puts her ears back for bounty hunters shooting at us....
Are you fucking joking ?
The animations for horses in this game are absolutely stunning! I always find myself disappointed in horse animations and models in most video games, but RDR 2 blew me away.
Assassins creed odyssey horses..... they just feel so.... wrong. With the necks especially.
@@MulinaTheAngelWolf Assassin's Creed horses have always been ugly as sin.
@@MulinaTheAngelWolf check out TLOU2
They studied real horses and put like a suit on them while they were walking. so all these movements should be from a real horse. its grwat
Me too
They really need to patch the stable size from 4 to maybe a 6. Four is just not enough...you get attached to all these gorgeous horses, its hard to let go of any of them...well maybe a morgan... hehe
helmsdeep84 yea in my first play through I don’t know why but I flipping got max bonding with a Morgan lol
Yeah after my first playthrough (now on my fifth) I decided to just steal some dudes Morgan and used it for the last mission as Arthur
@ThatDamnScottishGuy I mean I still want to keep lots of horse even as John.
Omg same! 4 is not enough, I want more u.u
spot on
In my first play through of the game I sold Rachel and when I found out I couldn’t get her back I cried 😭😭
You fool!!!
You foolish fool!!
Lou Vidaurri. and you only get a 1 dollar for her.
"Who's the more foolish? The fool or the fool that follows him..?"
you guys are rude don't call her a fool she just didn't know
Most people don’t know this but there is an O’droscoll spawn in the heartlands and one of the riders has a brindle
Where exactly?
Yeah I know about this, he spawn in at twins pass at the beginning of chapter 2 and ambushes you, I though I was the only one that knew :)
Didn't know it at first, but the event happened to me anyway. Noticed one of their horses looked really cool and chased it down halfway across the map. Turned out to be the brindle!
Yeah, shot it today on accident
They also spawn with bounty hunters, sometimes they spawn with rare horses such as Appaloosa’s.
I used to own one of these in real life, long before Red Dead 2 was a thing. His name? Arthur. Pretty cool coincidence. Good video btw, beautiful breed!
Edit: for some reason, a lot of people don't believe me. If you inbox me, I'll provide proof. Arthur is a common name, guys... Idk why it's that hard to believe.
Did you told him 'you alright boah' ?
@@KRASHMAN669 Of course! He also had a diet of solely classic oatcakes and ran headfirst into trees for fun
@Eletroboi 400 Yeah, they're a pretty bulky breed, he was a good boah
I had a one in real life as well there are a lot of work stress heads in real life
Connor Cloke bulky? Thoroughbreds are anything but. They’re tall and can be big, but not bulky. They’re super light-built horses with very lean muscle. I’ve had several over the years, and currently have one off-the-track.
My thoroughbred let a cougar run right under him this morning, I was so proud (the black chestnut) he’s such a good horse and we’ve gone through A LOT together. I named him after my favorite person too(Kieran)
😂 Poor Kieran he will live forever as your horse 🐴
mine just ran over some alligators xD fun thing with the name of the fav person I named mine sean :)
I got a reverse dapple black and he's just the best he's also survived a bit longer than one of my previous thoroughbreds. My first one died during an ambush, the second one got killed by a grizzly.
Genius Mind I have to say that my favorite horse was a Gold Turkomen. I wish I could go back to when I hadn’t finished and spend more time(I’m getting this weird nostalgic butterfly feeling talking about it) the horse was fantastic.
Rich Homie Tron I’ve always been drawn to Kieran, probably because he’s a fan of horses like I am. I really wish our greets could’ve been kinder :/
I will say, using a TB is really helpful when you’re hunting for the panthers in southern lemoyne because they are so sensitive to their surroundings. They can detect them sooner than other horses like the war horses in my opinion
Nice
Oh I thought you meant tuberculosis because aurthor dies of tuberculosis
Usually they buck at the sight of Cougars which can be really deadly in game
@@adamporter3402 a good system is jumping off the horse when it spots the cougar and taking aim. I've only had it work once tho cuz I don't ride Thoroughbreds anymore lol
Qwertz
Major spoiler! Don’t do that to other players, it sucks!!
You should do rdr2 weapon overview, you got a great voice and you have potential.
She should do a weapon overview
All weapons shoot the same
@@lossavageles no they Dont
@@lossavageles the sounds dont
That blood bay is my favorite horse in the game. It's absolutely beautiful and just feels like a great friend for a cowboy. :)
looks like the red chestnut lol
@@skeb2144 pretty much lol
I named my blood bay tb Journey :)
I love these guys. Using a TB is like playing the game on hard mode; you have to look out for them as your partner. But when you learn to use them they are loads of fun. Plus, they can actually benefit from all the stuff you can craft for your horses. Nice review!
I had a brindle for most of the game, and as weird as it sounds I literally loved that horse lmao, it was fun as hell. Cried my eyes out when the fucker died at the end on Arthurs story.
TB’s are the best, and you’re right, as long as you look out for them, they’re my favorite and the one I always go for
@Javier Escuella w
@Javier Escuella Arthur did play life on hard mode.
Using a Tuberculosis
I was waiting for this one! Love your RDR2 horse overview videos
Me too :)
I don’t know who to ask so here i am I had the grey one before I unlock the stable and It wouldn’t let me put it in the stable it say the horse wasn’t mine later I quit the game and when I came back he disappear do you think I can’t have it back ?
@@evag933 No you can't get it back because even you said it before you unlock the stables you are not able to stable ANY single horse so you can't get it unless you find another one and capture or steal it well have a nice day.
I found my brindle Thoroughbred is extremely brave. I can run circles around predators for quite sometime, but as with any horse, pushing too much and you end up on the ground. Just thought it was interesting enough to share though. :)
I find them courageous too. In story mode i could ride one across the narrow bridge south of the Shady Belle when it wats surrounded by alligators. Try ktat with different horse breeds. It was probably a blood bay, my favourtie coat.
Bravest horse I've used, isn't bothered by wolves, isn't scared of Grizzlies, didn't throw me in a cougar encounter, only acts skiddish when there's a black bear near, best horse in the game!
Mine reverse black dappled was a brave girl too. R.I.P.
You know, there is a tip from me that never stop with any horse because if you have the most skittish horse,if you don't stop and run all the time it won't buck you off
Every horse in this game will buck if pushed too far...even the strawberry roan ardennes..this is at 4 bonding as well...some have a longer tolerance is all.
You say they're timid and will leave you for dust against predators, but I found a brindle Thoroughbred off the O'Driscolls in Chapter 2 and kept it all the way to end. As long as I calmed it every now and then, I found it remarkably brave. Way more so than the Arabian and other "average" horses. Maybe it actually differs from horse to horse? I've had a somewhat brave Blood Bay on the second play through but the first time around was scared of its own shadow haha.
Great video though, just like the rest :)
I found it too and it was real brave. Still feel sad because I lost her at chapter 6...
@@grieferjesus3226 Yeah same :( perhaps the time with O'Driscolls hardened it up! The least I could do to was have that mare as my faithful steed for the rest of the game. I got way too attached to her lol
@@CeruleanSun Me too, way more than to the horses you can buy in stables.
I found a blood bay TB in the wild and it was the bravest horse ever. I was hunting and a pack of wolves came nipping at her heals and she never bucked
I love that this perfectly describes IRL thoroughbreds too. I've owned several and all of them were either extremely brave (they have to be foolproof if they've been on the track with all the noise and impressions) or babies who don't even need a reason to be scared haha. No in betweens
Oddly enough, and I've tried MANY horses in this game, my blood bay thoroughbred I caught in the wild was my best ever horse. So damned reliable. I kid you not, he never flinched in a gun fight and was steady against predators. I liked how tall he was, too-- was a good fit for Arthur and a handsome looking horse. I do believe the theory that there is a hidden "bravery" stat to these horses-- I've tried so many and tested them all. Some are DEFINITELY more skittish than others, and that includes those in the war horse category. So far, none have beat Red, the thoroughbred :)
Now if I could only find a horse like him for RDR2 Online.
100%. My most skittish horse ever was a bonded Hungarian Halfbred. Hands down. A "war" horse. I think there is a RNG roll on these horses personalities. Very cool. I have a solid as a rock Apaloosa that just stares down wolf packs and takes cougar charges standing still.
Yeah my mustang which was suppose to be this hardened war horse bucked me off with every single predator and I sold him after a bit. Got ridiculous the amount of times I was bucked
My Arthur's main horse was a Blood Bay Thoroughbred. I named her Boadicea II bc it was Arthur's last horse's name. She was so fierce!
I also believe that there is a hidden bravery stats bc Boadicea II could stomp aligators while my Rachel never bucked me when there was a cougar nearby. I love the Thoroughbreds, they're magnificent horses and my favorite breed!
Yeah I believe horses have their own personalities ^^ I had lots of horses too and they were so different... It's very nice to see their personalities! I had a very brave ardennes named Ryle and a tenessee walker (yes, he was VERY BRAVE) named Magnun and a Hungarian Halfbred named Markus that didn't like fights... when I dismount him he always WALKS away like "I don't care" XD I also had a Missouri Fox Trotter named Silver and he was SO CLUMSY!! I never crashed into so many trees!!! XD
@@AnaLugia256 same, my Rachel I still have and it is magnificent. In the beginning when you first play as John I ran into a cougar and she bucked and I thought Rachel kinda sucked but I took time to bond with it and now Rachel is the bravest horse I have ever owned besides Buell.
I love how realistic rdr makes the horses😂 I’ve owned 2 thoroughbreds in real life and they are super fast but they have such bad health and they’re scared of everything lol
I love how you thoroughly explained it in the video.
*im sorry*
Loved the series and thank you for putting so much love and effort on them! Quite enjoyable to watch since the very first. Sad that this is the last one in the series...
So I was just riding around in Chapter 2, and I was ambushed by some O'Driscolls and one was riding the brindle thoroughbred! I couldn't believe it (and it sounds unbelievable) so I stole her, and she's mine now!
I had a thoroughbred through the whole game and she was an amazing horse. She was so brave and fast, has never bucked me off, even near predators. I always took a great care of her and she did the same for me :)
Same. Mine actually molly whopped a panther right in the cheeks and killed it. Had to give Shiva a treat for handing me my first 3 star panther.
Thankyou for making this, i found it very helpful in picking my horses and the videos are really informative and fun to watch
YESSS FINALLY Also I love Rachel i feel like that's John's permanent horse xd
I always thought he loved the big horse's!! 😂
Yeah she is big. and when I played her. Brave
Star Light yeah Rachel’s my main horse because I can legit run around in circles with predators and she won’t buck me
I love Rachel too, she's unique, and I felt that she and John were meant for each-other (in a rider/steed sort of way). I'm protective of my horses (Rachel especially) and have a "strict zero tolerance policy" for any hostile NCP or predator endangers them.
Still don't know if Rachel's a gift to us or from Pronghorn Ranch or RockStar. Regardless, I'm glad the Epilogue gave her to us as a gift.
@Talyn Burton: Yes he does (Old Boy and Rachel).
From my experience, my thoroughbred has only bucked me off once or twice and aren’t as skittish as this vid portrays it to be.
yes i ride the dapple grey thoroughbred, quite a brave one. stayed still during a gunfight scene with Lemoyne ambushers. too bad it almost died due to the low HP
Yes!!! I am so glad you did thoroughbred!! You have the best RDR2 horse videos. Thoroughbreds are my favorite horses in the game!
I found my brindle just chilling in the wild with a paint. No people, no camp, just hanging out near horseshoe over look lol
Im going to say i really enjoy your RDR2 videos there some of best to watch i really like the mustang one
Love your videos the way you talk through them makes me feel like I'm watching History Channel which is not a bad thing or Animal Planet
The reason the horse reacted like that to animals was because you had it at bonding level 1.
The thoroughbreds in the game are great, they remind me of my mare in real life: Laila. She's a good gurrrrlll for sure.
Impeccably narrated. Thank you.
I really appreciate your info I could not find anything that helped my situ from other videos, you explained that the difference in coats changed the overall stats for a horse which I had no idea so thank you, I'm now subscribed :-)
Congrats on completing all 19 breeds! I have enjoyed all the vids and will no doubt watch them again as they are very pleasantly put together and stand up well to repeat viewing. Also, I'm agreeing with others that the Brindle Thoroughbred you can steal from ambushing O'Driscolls in Chapter 2 is a very brave horse. Gunfire and raging fires didn't bother her and I could even get her to chase away wolves in ones and twos. She was okay and calmed down quick enough with bears, gators and snakes but cougars were her kryptonite. She dropped me like a bad habit almost before that first growl.
Oh man, these are great videos! Thanks for making these.
I have watched all of your rdr2 videos but still come back because of your beautiful and sophisticated use of language. Lovely,
I love my Blood Bay Thoroughbred. I've named her Brown Betty.
I’m not sure if anyone knows this, but you can also get the Brindled Thoroughbred spawn in the beginning of chapter 2. An O’Driscoll will be riding it in an invasion near Twin Stack Pass. Just gotta single out the O’Driscoll and kill him and then steal the horse!
I love how much effort you put into these videos. Crazy.
You're adorable!
Nice review I enjoyed every minute of it 👍
My favorite next to the Nokota! The blood bay looks similar to my OTTB. Love your videos btw!
Thank you, this is a very good video. I love that one with the very special white marking at the face. Looks very unique :)
Reverse Dapple Black ist the correct name
Thank you for your hard work in this video, thank you.
I love these videos. You have a great voice.
Brindle thoroughbred is a good horse, amazing speed and acceleration, although very skittish around big predator, but they do just fine if you calm them. A better choice for me than the Arabian. It's classified as a large horse by this channel, which a plus point.
I love my blood bay and Dapple grey! I have had a dappled grey in every save, they are amazing!
Your so good at doing horse videos! :D
your vdos about horses are really help full
I absolutely love your videos 🐎♥️
Amazing, great job!
Fave horses in the game! I played with mine all the way to the epilogue. RIP Apollo. And I’ve never had an issue with them during a fight or in a hunt, no more than any others anyway.
Love the video keep it the nice work!!
Great voice too.
im on my fourth playthrough of red dead and I've always had the same horse ( thought it just suited Arthur ) and it was the black standardbred cuz I thought it was beautiful, but now im on my fourth and I ran into a brindle and im in love with her - shes such an amazing horse.
Your reviews are so amazing and unique. Love your videos so much. I’ve learned a lot in your channel. And hope you can do some reviews of Red Dead Online!
I like this horse and the fact they give it to you from the start is great once you bond with it , it moves and is a great horse
thanks, ur info is really helpfull for new gamers.
Been using a grey for a month or so and he is one of the best horses I ever had, called him Native Dancer aka The Gray Ghost.
Amazing! You just earned a sub
IMO, best looking, (conformed), breed in the game. Currently in Cha. 2, the Brindle will complete my string of Thoroughbred beauties. Can’t wait.😉. Enjoyed your Vid. Tx.
Excellent vid!
The horses are the true outlaws of RD2!
Arthur with the blood Bay thoroughbred just seems like the perfect fit my second play through, I also like the Black coat American Standardbred as well
No matter how many better breeds come along I’ll always have a soft spot for the Thoroughbreds 😂 always seem to find my way back to them!
Rachel is my fav in game. Get her to level 4. Save game often with these one of a kind mounts ! She is also quite brave. Great videos..TU !
THANKS SO MOUCH I LOVE YOUR VIDEO. =D.
idk why iam watching this lol, i switched from ps4 to PC and the only thing i miss is this game, so i watch just every RDR video that i see lol
My beloved brindle thoroughbred Sleipnir II is my absolute favorite in this game. So beautiful, so tall, and with very goods stats. Arthur had Sleipnir the first in the most of the chapters, and John has continued the story with the second of the name. I like his fear of predators, it makes him more alive, more realistic, I think !
These videos are top notch
My reverse dapple black is by far my fav horse in game. And she's named after a strong woman who inspired me early, Black Belle
I have a dapple grey mare, actually at maximun bonding. She is very fast and brave, she never has thrown me off.
I love the blood bay, itsa really good starter horse, as you can get 6 speed straight away (With hooded stirrups) its my go to horse in story
I love the blood bay (and white white mane and tail) and the Brindle!
I normally fight and hunt on foot except for when a mission calls for it, fast horses with good acceleration suit me and I don't often find low health to be much of an issue.
Love your videos
As well you should also do overviews of the regions/states as well. Such as Lemoyne or West Elizabeth
I’m currently split between tb and mft both are really good I can’t decide I’m fully bonded with the mft core you bonding with the tb going to see which I like more
I’m about to start my second play thru and I was planning on using a slower warhorse or the black shire. Something not too fast (but a tank) so I can enjoy the game at a slow pace (first playthru I had the white Arabian).
... but my favorite horse is the Dark Bay Turkoman, and the Blood Bay Thoroughbred looks a lot like it and is available in chapter 2. Soooo now I’m planning on using it.
Captured a blood bay today. Changed the color of the mane and tail to white. Looks beautiful
I was gamesharing with a friend to get rdr2 but i will be buying the game myself later today and i'm going to get the ultimate edition and i can't wait to get the beautiful black chesnaut thoroughbred.
I own 2 thoroughbreds irl. This is pretty accurate BUT, thoroughbreds have AMAZING stamina but they are not the fastest horse, EG: The quarter horse is faster than the thoroughbred but the thoroughbred can run longer making them SEEM faster.
Howler, my Thoroughbred tends to help me more in my hunting style by keeping some good distance between me and predators. Great for when I’m wolf hunting.
She runs at a safe distance, but ahead of the pack, giving me good positions for headshots.
I will always gave a thoroughbred also i just finished horseman 6!😊
I love these videos and your voice. Someone should hire you to read over trailers and gameplay. You have the perfect voice.
Decided to get my hands on the dapple grey on red dead online. I have no regrets. He’s only bucked me once while dealing with wolves and we’ve dealt with them a lot the past few days. He’s not the fastest but he gets me around finely. He is pretty weak though. I’m surprised to hear they’re not good hunting horses
Good!!! Now i hope you do all the weapons
Johns Horse is my favorite. Love Epilogue.
I love my reverse dapple black thoroughbred ❤️ he's really clingy and follows me everywhere and has never thrown me off
I got and i love all of it, all are too beautiful.
The blood bay caught my eye initially but the dapple really saved my hide once - when you could get into black water early as Arthur. Some lawmen spotted me on foot so I stole the horse and we miraculously escaped.
However this is a breed I generally don't use. It is one that I will give a go to on the next playthough. If I ever get done with the gold medals for missions... I think the current one is glitched or something
Though the stats aren’t great, the blood bay thoroughbred is gorgeous. Caught a mare in the heartlands, named her Scarlet. What a beaut.
I used to have an adorable Black Chestnut named Brandy. When she died in a gunfight, I was heartroken.
Idk if anyone else said this but you can also get the Brindle coat from encounters with the O'Driscoll's in chapter 2
In my first play through I had the special edition thoroughbred my entire play through. I was not prepared for the Chapter 6 ending.
My big brother used to have one of these in real life. Great horse, I learnt to ride on it. I found one in the wild while playing early on and can't play with another horse rn.
I've stayed with my dapple black since I got her in chapter 2. I just love that white hook motif on her head. I named her Moondance.
Do reviews on saddles 😂
Damn that was a major wipeout in the river
Nooooooo last video on horses
For some reason my dappled black thoroughbred is incredibly brave, she doesn't flinch with gunfires, tramples wolves and gators and only bucks me off when I intentionally push her several times near a predator and they attack directly back. The brindle I got from the race lady is exactly like your review, agitated at the slightest sudden change, even a single revolver shot will catch her attention.
Same with mine! Wouldn't be without her, I'm taking game VERY slowly and we've been through so much together 😊
Surrounded by 5 bounty hunters and 2 law dogs with bullets flying everywhere and she's an absolute machine 😍
Won't trade her for ANYTHING x
These videos are mint
The dapple was my main for my first RDR2 playthrough. I named her Xanadu.
I love the race handling of this breed. I hardly crash into shit anymore
