- Today we're searching for a remote camp spot in Waiparous, Alberta, hopefully at the end of a challenging trail.

Gorgeous country. It's been nearly 40 years since I've been up that way in Canada from the states. I lived in Alberta and BC for about 21 months. I need to plan a trip back there soon. I was in Moab, UT. last week camping in the Devils Kitchen in Canyonlands...such a contrast, both unbelievably beautiful.
Best vehicle for this stuff. Awesome stuff guys
Great vids! Another cool trick for your fires is to have cotton balls covered in a bit of Vaseline. Then expand the cotton just before lighting 🤘🏼
Good tip! I'm familiar with the cotton ball trick but I've never tried using Vaseline.
Great video! I used to love camping in Waiprous when I lived in Alberta.
Very nice rig/tent setup btw
Great video!!
Beautiful area, just there this past Rememberance Day 2021 long weekend with my son.. been there few times but we actually took our 4Runner onto dry bed and was super fun.. I wish people would clean up after themselves tho but hopefully they learn.
What trail is this?
I need to find this trail.
Great video! Enjoyed watching it
This trail is just under 3 hours away from me......might have to take a venture up to see it in person, you sold me! nice channel btw, just subbed to ya !
Awesome video here 🤙🏼
Excellent video. Thanks so much. I am a newbie in all of this. All I have right now is Subaru Outback wilderness. I have no camping gear at all, but would love to learn. How should I get started or learn to do this? Again, thx so much for your vids. Very beautiful to watch.
There’s no secret sauce to getting out there and exploring! Have a good set of tires and go 🤘🏼 let us know what you find 😁
It was nice but a bit to many people on the weekends.
Was out with my son camping and mountain biking last week.
Great video 👍 Now I need to find that trail 😎
Definitely a good one!
@@allterraintrails Found it!!! :-) Truly is special. Thanks!
Hey what trail is it?
@@wanderingtrailrider hey what trail is it called?
You need more followers
Care to tell us the secret? 😁
Nice job!
2 things, where did you get your canada logo sticker? and if you use your egg cartoons, stuff your dryer lint into the individual egg pockets, then pour candle wax over it, then cut up into individual bits, they burn for a long time. give it a try and see what you think :)
Good tip! I believe I bought those stickers on amazon a few years ago.
Found it!!! So perfect so beautiful!
Just wondering, what kind (brand?) of drone you guys have? Beautiful quality! More trails pls 🙌
DJI Mavic Air 2
this is so sweet man.
Can you do casual plinking out there with firearms???
Thank you! We are not sure about firearms restrictions in this area.
Yes but you need to find good backstop
Yes you can. I used to shoot there all the time. Just do it safely and have an adequate backstop in place and nobody will bother you.
Mclean Creek is another good place to shoot. Only rule is that you need to be atleast 1 km from the road. But you can take any trail for 1 km and shoot there.
I recently moved to the Greater Toronto Area and honestly you have to drive > 3 hours to find some good crown land to shoot on. I miss waiprous so much
@@gordontrotter6512 is mclean creek good place? I live in calgary
@@Krel-888 yes Mclean Creek is great. You'll need a 4x4 with decent ground clearance though. Any pickup truck or midsized to large SUV will do just fine as you need to take a trail a minimum of 1km off the road before its legal to shoot. I used to have a few good spots i would regularly go. Ill see if i can find them on google maps. Mclean is a little closer to Calgary then waiprpus but not by much.
How's this trail in May/spring? Can i do this in my landrover defender or does waiporous need wvehicles with big lifts
Potentially still pretty snowy in May depending if we've had a storm or not. For Waiparous I would say a good set of 33" tires will get you most places! What kind of defender?
@@allterraintrails a 2020 Landrover Defender. I'm looking into heading the trail tomorrow. Upgraded the tires to 33inch K02 tires
We should get together on a tip some time. Hit us up @rockiesoverlanding on insta.
