  • This is a quick review I did of cheap spring loaded corner clamps purchased from Amazon. I got these for gluing a box together for a cigar box guitar style guitar. Please let me know if you have any questions.

This is exactly what I was looking for on the web prior to purchasing. I just needed to fix a busted desk drawer, and wouldn't be using them often. There is no way my slightly arthritic hands would have the strength to apply that clamp. Removing them from my Amazon shopping cart now. Thanks so much!

THANK YOUUUU!!!! I just about ordered them. I am looking for something that would hold 4 walls together with easy access (nothing major, just bird houses). I really like the visuals and information you provided.
    Thanks again 🙂

Those work great for holding a butjoint together. I wouldn't use them for miters or any glue up.

Thanks for the video, would it have helped to have slightly compressed the spring to relieve some pressure when you were aligning those mitres?

Because it slides, it’s supposed to self center on any dimension.

Yes, understood and I see the intended benefit of it, just from my experience the sliding made it harder to get started on the wood and get everything centered. I think it is less of an issue with thinner pieces

CUT THE TIP TO MAKE IT FLAT ON THE ARROW SO IT WONT PUSH THE WOOD APART. ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THERE. NO GOOD CLAMP HAS A TIP ON THE ARROW. YOUBUBE SOME. DONE DONE! YOURE WELCOME.

It looks like that tip is already rounded. I would think these are meant to be a helping hand clamp than an actual glue clamp.

Why would you use 2 peices of wood that wasn't from the same cut to review these claps? That's really dumb.
