Also do you think there's space for a full length mirror? 2) This is unrelated to the dorm but what do the bathrooms look like? Are the showers enclosed just by curtains like in a pool and what about the toilets? 3) Do you think a vacuum would be helpful or does the school have vacuums you can borrow? 4) Do all desks have a bulletin board above them? Hi! First of all, congrats on BU! Also, most of the answers are based on the double dorm that I had, in this video. Some things are a little different in the quads, singles and corner doubles. 1. Yes, there are two mirrors, one per side. Most people put a full length mirror hanging from the back of the door (other than that, there’s not much room, besides leaning in the closet) 2. The bathrooms are kinda just generic communal bathrooms (I don’t know haha how to describe them) but there’s a cleaning service that comes everyday during the week. The showers had a curtain and then a door as well. 3. You can borrow vacuums at Res life for free. In Warren the office is right on the main level. 4. I believe all the dorms have some kind of bulletin board, but there’s a couple different variations of the shelf’s above the desk. Thanks for watching the vid! I think I got them at Target, if not, they definitely have some variation of them there. You can also just find storage bins on Amazon, probably bed bath and beyond or Walmart. I probably could have stacked two of the smaller height ones.
Technically yes, you can always try to apply for a dorm building that offers dorms with a bathroom but typically freshmen will not get in because upper class man get first choice. There’s also no dormitories that are “freshmen only” so you can try for any dorms that aren’t junior and seniors only. If you have any other questions, let me know!
Yes, I had a pretty good experience this year. There’s definitely things I really love above the school and some aspects that I don’t but what everyone’s looking for in a school is different. If you want to talk more, DM me on insta!
Hi! The dorm bed’s height itself can’t be adjusted but people typically use bed risers (I used them with my bed in this dorm) to make the bed higher and create more storage!
I'm not sure the exact chances it is but what I was able to tell is that it's somewhat of a challenge because typically upperclassman will get them before freshmen can. It's still possible though!
