It is terrible how backward we still are. Many countries around the world now think in terms of nationalities, but in Uganda we still think in terms of tribes. There are about 195 recognised countries in the world. I have travelled over 100 of them, but in 90 percent of them I found people referring to themselves in terms of their countries (for example, I am Tunisian, I am Mexican, I am Canadian, etc). The longer we continue to put tribes above the nation, the less we shall be united and the longer we shall take to develop our country.
I wish they could explain this to some who is denied a passport, rather than proudly saying I am not giving you a passport because you can't prove you are Ugandan.
