This is the team that reignited my love for Carolina and college basketball. I want to thank you for that. RJ, The All-American and my all-time favorite Carolina player, you are beyond good enough. You were the best and I pray you return. Armando you are the ultimate Tar Heel and I will miss you as the spirit of this team. Cormac for a kid who has been here for only a year you epitomize the Carolina Way. Your ferocity throughout the season will be missed. The way you stood up for RJ is the definition of The Carolina Way. The loss broke my heart so I can only imagine your hurt. But know that this entire team renewed my Tar Heel loyalty. This time of year is very difficult to win and I hated seeing the buckets not drop for you guys in the second half esp but sadly it happens sometimes. Hold your heads high guys, you all had a great season! Sadly, you definitely need a little luck to go along with that talent and hard work you all put in. March madness is exactly that! I was annoyed that J. Whithers shot that 3 and then fouled and they got that And 1…but the competitor in me has now calmed down 😂 Every possession does count though so Coach Davis isn’t lying about that! It’s been such a joy to watch and root for all you guys, I NEVER miss a game! Bacot has personally brought me so much joy to watch his growth as a player and a person, I’m really gonna miss him!!! His refusal to play Washington and Mundo at the same time finally caught up with him. Washington could’ve spreaded the floor. Mundo could’ve guarded Nelson. Elliot and Seth need to make strides in at least their midrange game or we will be facing the same problem next season.
Certainly appreciate a great year, with a regular season that greatly surpassed that of the past two without question. Sometimes you run into a team that has a great night and if you're slightly off, and just the way it goes. Games are never about the last play, but about the summation of things that resulted in that last play, and could have been done differently. Every team faces that. But what is clear is that every player tried their best, and that's enough.
Carolina has been my team since 1981. That'll never change. We all wanted that Natty. But we have nothing invested in their season do we ? The team and coaches only do. Come back Davis and Ingram.

Ryan sucked in the second half Bacot proved how bad he actually is with butterfinger hands and missed dunks and layups. Davis finally had a bad game. Ingram was a no show in the second half

Despite Cormac Ryan's defense of RJ Davis, we need to remind ourselves of the fact that RJ Davis was 0-14 from three point range in the two most important games of basketball career (2022 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship against Kansas; 2024 NCAA West Regional Championship-first round game against Alabama). There comes a moment in any game when a player has to evaluate and question his (or her) contribution to the team effort. That did not happen for RJ Davis during the 2024 NCAA West Regional Championship-first round game against Alabama. RJ Davis kept putting up "clankers" instead of looking for someone else with a better opportunity to score. All of you can defend RJ Davis all you want, but in the end like Caleb Love of the Arizona Wildcats, RJ Davis got lost in shooting the ball instead of doing what was best for his teammates, finding the best option to win the game.
The questions by the press was ridiculous! Where are the Cadeau questions? Withers shooting the open three? Not inserting EC for the final play to help breakdown the defense to get a good look? Having RJ go one on five in the last 30 seconds while he was struggling. I’m not blaming RJ and I know that they were hoping that RJ at least got fouled but what was the play? Etc…
Well first & foremost, you don't play to the other team's strengths! You SHOULD try to slow the pace. Secondly, if you're not hitting a high percentage of 3's, take the ball inside & don't wait until late in the second half to do it! Let's just say Hubert said for RJ to take the ball inside just 2 or 3 more times... we probably win! COACH TO WIN, NOT TO RESPECT another program & the way THEY PLAY!
It was a hard game…theses men played their hearts out… l know a loss is a s loss, but l believe a lot was the last few plays, refs let too much get by them…be it’s hard for this team … they are like brothers.. yes the know one bucket loss, but refs should have put the right time back on the clock…then things may have been different!!!! Whoever is in charge of selecting the Reporters for Post game needs to seriously take a look at who they are picking. Because so many of these reporters asks some of the dumbest questions. It’s almost like they have taken the necessary classes that are required to be in sports Media. They ask questions like they’re talking to Fifth Grade. And they act like Fifth Graders.
The program is going downhill! Last year didn’t even make the tournament. We either need a coach K or coach S (Scheyer) to step in and save the program. This is a coaching disaster!
At this point in the tournament, if you do not bring your "A" game you are going to lose. This is not like playing Duke during the regular season. These teams are good....
Considering that UNC didn't even qualify for the NCAA Tournament last year, I suppose it was an improvement that it made this far. On the other hand, it reverted to what disqualified it from the tourney last year, in the second half of this game. Or, perhaps it was a punishment for turning down the NIT last year.

Coach Davis said it was an honor and a privilege to play against Alabama one of the better teams in the country and their very gifted not only from an offensive stand point, Bacot said that they made more shots then them so can you read between the lines or are you just that stupid that you don't know when someone is giving someone else credit. Considering that UNC didn't even qualify for the NCAA Tournament last year, I suppose it was an improvement that it made this far. On the other hand, it reverted to what disqualified it from the tourney last year, in the second half of this game. Or, perhaps it was a punishment for turning down the NIT last year.
