Can you show what the customer would receive. Understand the mechanical vs. the rolling/electronic shutter - would the Drone Deploy software take that in to account if you did the same misson with the Mavic 3T? Thanks! Stay safe. Fred. Thanks for the video. Good job. I recently purchased the M3E. Dig it! However, I recently flew a DroneDeploy ortho using my M3E. The coverage was really bad - missed images everywhere. I had the latest firmware AND latest DD app version too.
    Have you experienced missing images in your orthos?

    • @spartanaerialservices
      @spartanaerialservices  Před 3 měsíci

      I usually fly all of my ortho in Pilot 2 and then I process in Drone deploy, I really never used Drone deploy to directly control my drone for any mapping or aerial data sets, unfortunately, I do find Drone deployed to be very inaccurate while controlling my drone. I would much rather use the native application For that. I find a pilot too to work so much more seamlessly and it is so much more accurate.

      My apologies, was thinking about the wrong video. This particular mission looking back through the data, the individual photos/data points were accurate. The client that i fly for has a very rigorious quality control process for data, so it would have been kicked back if there was an issue, and i quality control check everything myself. That being said, the issues that you have seen, I have had happen to me when flying DD during a thermal mission. The other issue i tend to see with DD is the return to home is highly inaccurate, and will land as far as 30ft away from the initial takeoff point. Hi Fred….when you are mapping like shown here, I noticed you were using Drone Deploy. Are there other go to apps that you use (map Pilot Pro, drone link…etc)? Or was this a requirement by the company you were doing this for? Subscriptions for DD are pricey, so I’m wondering if there are cheaper alternatives. I’m assuming you used DD to process the data? Thank you for the awesome video! Super informative and to the point.
    I have been looking to becoming a pilot in the last 6 months, with the Mavic 3E as the "bird" I've been wanting to purchase. I only have about $5k to spend right now, and the bundle with the RTK module and battery kit is about 5800 before taxes. I would also buy 1 year of DJI Terra for $1400.
    Registering an LLC for liability purposes, drone insurance... the cost is my biggest deterrent but this is something I picture being passionate about and growing in this industry.
    My question is, is it still feasible to start a small business for this work and start from scratch? Build an online portfolio and start solo? As per common knowledge from someone in this industry, are many companies looking for pilots? I look for employment and find very scarce open opportunities to begin a career in drone operations.
    I realize you are busy and time is money, so don't feel obligated, but do you have any personal tips for getting started? Maybe where to look for an open position, or general ideas on how to build a client base? Again, thank you for this awesome video, it's great that you guide others to provide such a unique and vital service to aid so many industries such as solar farming.

      @spartanaerialservices  Před rokem +4

      Before I purchased this drone, I spoke with the DJI engineer team on the M3E, since I had issue with RF as well as EMF on the I2...they explained the O3 system was designed with these two phenomena in mind, to help make sure video feed wasn't lost, and the IMU/compass package & gps were enhanced against the effects of the same.
      I fly the M3E for Power/Public Utilities nearly everyday, towers/high tension lines, where the I2 and phantom wouldn't operate, the M3E handles it just fine.
      True, the M3E doesn't have the same level of hardening against them as say my M300 or M210, but nonetheless the M3E is much more enhanced than the stock M3. Again, real world flying here, as well as information direct from DJI.

      no.
      clearly, the visor is on the front, hence it is being worn correctly.
      It isn't a construction style hard hard, it's a PETZL climbing helmet, much more comfortable.

    Nice Content Mate.
    What does the USA charge per hour in your industry ? Does that include data analysis or do you just send the data for the client to analyse?
    Enjoying your Videos from Australia. 🇦🇺🙂

      Thank you for watching! Rates depend greatly here in the USA, simple construction progression maps/video...150.00-200.00 per hour depending on deliverables, RTK mapping 200.00 per hour and up, Thermal inspections are 300.00 per hour and up, again it all varies. I do both simple delivered data, as well as analysis. Cheers!

      @@spartanaerialservices Thanks Mate. Much the same price wise here except in AUS$ . I love the whole experience, whether its mapping or Search and rescue. Only took 35 years to find something I am passionate about and enjoy.
      Kudos for you videos!
