- Dezi Phillips, who is from Saginaw, Michigan, released one album, Kickin' It in 1989 for the defunct record label, Tabu Records. The album was produced by Bernard Terry, who produced for the R&B-Funk band, Ready For the World and Mary Davis of S.O.S Band. The singles he released were 'Didn't Do It' and the second single, 'Why You Wanna' which reached #45 on the R&B charts in the summer of 1989. The album also had the gentle ballad 'This Ring for You'. Phillips passed away in November 2009.
