I make three AE files when making tutorials like this; a file where I’m learning how the effect is done which is usually a mess, the file you see in the video where I’m talking you through it, and finally the cleaned up version that I give you for free. Making videos and trying to teach something like expressions in a simple way is a lot of work. I forgot to render the tutorial example and got rid of the file. When I got to that point while editing the actual video I realised and didn’t want to shoot the entire thing again. I ended up using the render from the file I used to learn how the effect is done, which had one additional dust spec layer that I ended up thinking was too much and didn’t include in the tutorial. Any other questions?
