I just completed this same procedure with a set of Comp Cams magnum lifters. They were in an engine that was not winterized properly (cracked block). Cam and lifters were installed but not ran. Owner had problems starting the engine and left if outside. I'm surprised that lifters are so simple to clean and reuse. I fail to see how a lifter could not pump up but I've read dozens of horror stories. Going to try these on a new camshaft because they have no wear at all. Good video. I used a smaller screwdriver. I paid close attention to the spring clips and made sure they were deep in the lifter body groove.

Yeah it is a surprisingly easy process and they seem to be holding up quite well so far.
Id definitely soak them in oil and try ro pump them up before installing so you're all good to go.
I appreciate the comment and thanks for watching

Great video. I’m about to do mine in a 390 Ford. Got to comment on the PM screw driver. I have the same set that I bought 30 years ago at Walmart. Great screw drivers. Made in America
