The show flipped so much of what I thought it was on its head and it turned into so enjoyable! I'm 100% reacting to the follow up episodes, I HAVE to see where this show goes!! Enjoy!

According to Gooseworx (the show's creator and main director) herself, the show really isn't made for kids, some stuff she said the show has/will have include:
-Mild sexual implications
-Censored swearing
-References to Hell

She’s also said that the show will prove that it’s not for kids in the next episode and I’d like to think Season 2 and the other 5 episodes

same. every line they have is funny
So here’s what I took from the ending. Her fear in the dream she had at the start is that she’d be forgotten and not even cared about if she got abstracted. The funeral kinda puts that fear to rest, metaphorically showing that by them all pulling her out from the pit, that shot was the hands of Ragatha, Zooble, Kinger, and Gangle
It is notable to point out that Jax and Caine weren’t there though
Well that does make sense, Caine did murdered her first genuine friend (from her perspective) and was actively trying to hide the existence of an exit door from her. Also Jax is a murderous sociopath who didn't even care when Kaufmo, someone who probably lived in the circus as long as he did, abstracted and didn't join his funeral, viewing it as a waste of his time.
Also, different point but when Ryan mentioned that Jax may have been a death row inmate or serial killer when he was in the real world, that does make you think. Maybe that is why he is so evil while everyone else has a sense of morality. Maybe instead of being put to death, he was intentionally sent to the Digital Circus on purpose against his will by his community, using CNA' s headset to torture him for his crimes, not realizing that he is not suffering as much as they had hoped.
@@idontcarewhatmyusernameis7324 actually, for one frame you could see he got a little sad when they mentioned Kaufmo’s funeral, so his aggressive exterior might just be a cover for a more emotional side of him. Maybe like a coping mechanism. But from Pomni’s perspective, yes that makes sense.

@@idontcarewhatmyusernameis7324In Jax’s defense, he’s clearly not a sociopath, especially if you pay attention to his micro expressions, especially in scenes like his reaction to them holding a funeral for Kaufmo. He technically commit genocide, but he likely had assumed that the AI wasn’t sentient and knew the world was about to be deleted, the moment they left. It’s the equivalent of killing a village in Skyrim only to find out those people existed in the real world and are now dead. He’s clearly lashing out and causing mayhem to keep himself sane and ignore his own suffering. HOWEVER, that doesn’t mean he’s not an abusive awhile using his grief as an excuse to hurt others. I’m willing to bet that he cried over Kaufmo in his own room, but is unwilling to show that vulnerability to anyone else, but it’s also likely that he’s going to double down in his abusive behavior as time goes on.

Fun Fact: Zooble is based on a toy product named ZoLo A Go Go where you mix or match odd shapes that are the arms, legs, antennas, or even the head or torso
And GooseWorkx said that Zooble will change parts from each episode getting more and more different.
You can actually see they had a different leg and arm from one episode to another

Fun Fact: Kevin Temmer was a Former Employee animator at sadly now-defunct Blue Sky Studios working on animation scenes of Ice Age 5, Ferdinand, and Spies in Disguise when it got shut down by Disney he left the studio, to later be hired by Glitch Productions to be a lead animator of "Murder Drones" and "The Amazing Digital Circus"!

This pretty much explains why the scene 35:21 from this episode is a reference to Scrat from Ice Age 2. (If you have seen any of these movies)

53:27 The hands at the end were Ragatha, Kinger, Gangle, and Zooble's hands grabbing Pomni's to pull her back up in her dream sequence at the start of the episode.
It's signifying that she (Pomni) now recognizes that everyone (the main cast excluding maybe Jax) cares for each other; the opposite of what her dream at the start seemed to be trying to tell her.
If you liked Digital Circus, you should watch Murder Drones, it’s even darker than digital circus and has some really creepy horror. And it’s made by the same people.

Abstraction is a really horrifying concept. This game they're in is coded specifically to translate brain waves into gameplay, but Kaufmo's mind broke so much to the point where the game couldn't even render his character properly.

I was NOT expecting that for you like- AT ALL but it's honestly extremely appreciated, this show is really really good and honestly if you're bound to look at more series like this.. go take a look at Murder Drones ;)
And also, yes, the "Master of unlocking things" was a reference to OG Resident Evil and it's awesome as well as the ton of other references this show has

I mean kinger is mentally stable enough to not abstract.
I almost get the feeling Kinger's in a weird sweet spot of insanity where he no longer can focus long enough to have an existential crisis, which seems like the thing that causes 'abstraction'.
Now that I am watching it again I just realized Caine say at 51:53 "I'm gonna go drink water, it's been a while since I've done that" and that it might mean something.

Caine's AI probably has data on whats healthy for humans and whats not for humans, so he probably thinks drinkinfg water isnt what you usually do, but more of like a visit to the doctor that you do every once in a while.

You missed the part at the end of episode 2 where Pomni thinks back to her nightmare about abstracting. It’s Ragatha and the others who grab her hand together. This leads Pomni to smile softly, realizing that these people that are trapped here truly do care about each other, and aren’t just trying to look out for themselves. It’s such a great way to end the episode after the heartbreaking death of Gummigoo

If you consider making reacting to indie animated shows a series I'd recommend checking out a series called Lackadaisy. It's based on a webcomic of the same name and follows the misadventures of a group of rumrunners in a 1920s St. Louis populated by anthropomorphic cats. Its pilot was released last year and its following episodes are in production. Also, Michael Kovach (the voice of Jax) voices Lackadaisy's protagonist.
so idk if Ryan really understood the end scene of ep 2 but the point of that scene was that at the start Pomni was nearing abstraction and was getting anxious but the funeral at the end of the episode calmed her and showed her that she wasn't alone and people were there for her and that if she died or abstracted there would be other people there to mourn and remember her
I don't think she was nearing abstraction, I think it was just her fearing that the others wouldn't care when it would happen to her
@@rokkraljkolesa9317 I think it was kinda a both, i mean obviously it was fear of other wouldn't care but i feel like the abstracting arm and the eyes were symbolizing that she was getting close due to this fear, if it was just her arm then i wouldn't think so and peg it as fear of abstraction but the eyes filling up the screen at the end makes me think that fear and anxiety coupled by her being new to this situation put her near abstraction, of course this is just my personal thoughts

hey ryan, if you're looking for more from the Glitch channel I highly reccomend Murder Drones. it has a more realistic look, and is focused on a horror theme. I think it's something you'll enjoy a lot, knowing you like reacting to scary things. obviously it wont be the scariest thing youl see, but it still got some disturbing moments and I still think you'll enjoy it.
They're still working on the final episode so you got 7 episodes that you can react to.
i'd love to see your reaction to the show if you do make a video on it.
Ryan if you're really into the more horror elements, you should definitely watch Murder Drones. It definitely goes into a more disturbed world and it is made by the same producers as Digital Circus :)

Fun fact: Gooxework the main producer of this show actually based Caine off of AM from i have no mouth but must scream (I think that's the name atleast) but apparently they confirmed in a tweet that Caine has no malicious intent for them then posted a picture of Caine then put top text "I am a mouth and I can't stop screaming"

Ryan you should really watch Murder Drones. It's also a show supported by Glitch, it has a different producer making it so the story is different from digital circus, but it's really good, and really dark as well, I would say more dark than digital circus. There's also a lot more episodes to react to, with the final one coming out (sometime) I really hope you check it out sometime!

Also the explain the pomni part near the funeral part, so at the start of the episode pomni had a nightmare of abstracting and the others mocking her because she thought no one would care if she abstracted but when they spoke about how they missed kaufmo at his funeral she realised that if she abstracted they WOULD care about her and hold a funeral for HER if she did abstract

It’s so crazy to me how huge Glitch has become over the last year or so especially recently with TADC.
