    I have two Miele dishwashers and both have issues with the racks rusting. Yes, rusting on the racks. The repair company naturally does not follow up on getting replacements out of warranty and at my expense. I'm happy to do that but no luck.

    Hi, Great Video. I am planning to buy Bosch SHX78B75UC instead of the Miele 7000 series. My cooking is mainly steaming, and in a week stir fry once. so with this in mind do you think I have made the right choice?
    As both machines are excellent. I chose bosch. I live inCaliforniaa.

    Thank you for the well thought out comparison.
    On a different note LG reliability is striking though. Considering also their products have plenty of features, it is definitively an option to consider.

    A big factor for us was that the Miele is a side mount and since our dishwasher was not between two other cabinets, it was not possible to install. Something we were never told about when we purchased.

    I believe any problems people have with Miele are user error. I’ve had mine more than 20 years. For many years it ran two or three times a day plus several rinse & hold cycles. Now it gets run at least once a day usually with 1 rinse & hold. It has never malfunctioned. I’ve also never had one disappointing result. The feature that doesn’t get emphasized enough is the built in water softener makes it work better because soft water cleans better, and it makes it last a lot longer because it doesn’t get caked with mineral deposits. Also the soft water makes it possible to wash fine glassware without worry. I just always was it in a separate cycle on the china and crystal setting with a minimum amount of powdered Cascade Complete. The pods are too strong.

      Powdered detergent has proven to be superior in that the user can judge for themselves how much or how little to use. We use Cascade powder as well but even the cheapest store brand is just as good. Personally, I like the smell of Cascade. Personal preference. Liquids are not a good choice and neither are the pods. There was a time that I would buy the Miele tablets and cut them in half. Gave up on that and have equally good results with powder. The key is not to use too much powder.

      Nobody ever mentions the water softener feature. That’s in my opinion extremely important especially for so many with hard water issues. I have a water softener and I still can’t escape the hard water problems.

    I'm really curious if you could help me decide between a higher end Bosch or Miele. I live in a humid and tropical climate where mold is a continual challenge. Our most recent dishwasher suffered a terrible mold bloom and stopped working - this is a common problem in our state. I would like to find a dishwasher with an auto open door feature and the BEST drying. As well as very very hot and powerful cleaning. I'm considering the SHP9PCM5N Bosch and the G 7106 SCU XXL or G 7316 SCU XXL Miele.

      The Benchmark has CrystalDry, but not an auto opening door......All the Mieles have the Auto open.

    Why are bosch appliances (outside their diswashers)_ now made in china? They have an irvine address on them but all are made in china seems like a big thing at this price point.

    • @YaleAppliance1
      @YaleAppliance1  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Hmm...not sure. Bosch is made in the US. Miele in Germany (they are opening a plant in the US), Profile, made in the US, KitchenAid made in the US, LG made in Korea, but they will be manufacturing more in the US...Other than Zline and a few mongrel brands
