- Another unforgettable adventure in the Sierra Nevada Mountains as we explore the natural wonders of California! Our journey kicks off at the serene Bass Lake, where tranquility meets breathtaking beauty. Nestled amidst towering pines and shimmering waters, our camping experience promoted relaxation and rejuvenation. But the real excitement was in Yosemite National Park, where we tackled the iconic Vernal Falls Loop Trail, beginning and ending at Happy Isles. The trail from the Clark Point overlook along the John Muir Trail to Nevada Falls was unfortunately closed, leading us from Clark Point to the Silver Apron just above Vernal Fall (still a great day hike!).
Get ready to be mesmerized by the thundering cascades and lush greenery surrounding us as we ascended to the majestic Vernal Falls. With every step, we're rewarded with awe-inspiring vistas of Yosemite's granite cliffs and emerald valleys. We soaked in the beauty, and created memories to last a lifetime amidst the stunning landscapes of Bass Lake and Yosemite National Park, California.

Good ol classic hike to Nevada Falls. Never disappoints. It's too early to tell, but I'm betting River will grow up to be a backpacker like his parents. He's going to look back at these videos of himself being being carried around on his dad's back and cherish them.

Yosemite is definitely one of my favorite places! I feel blessed to live close enough to visit as often as I like. My last hike on the mist trail was in 2014 with my kids. My knees are just not up to the strairs on that trail anymore. I love the views you see along the JMT. It really has been a gift to have all this rain and snow the last couple of years. I enjoyed your families trek on this one. Absolutely beautiful 😊

I get to take my wife and daughter there in Sept this year (visiting from Australia) .the only other time they have been to Yosemite was Feb last year the day before they closed the park for a few weeks due to snow so it will be very different this time as we barely got out of the car and couldn't see anything due to snow
