    In the 1800s, my hometown in the Adirondack mountains, used this mode of wood transport. NYC slums where built out of wood provided by the Northern NY towns in those mountains. All wood trees were floated to cutting mills, same as your video. To this day there are still sunked trees all in tangles on the bottom of the lakes and rivers.

    This video was taken from Bangladesh, land of hard working people. Probably the tshirt you are wearing now may be made in Bangladesh. Usually you can see This type of bamboo boat in the south east part of Bangladesh .(Hillside area) Karnaphuli and Surma these two river mainly used for bamboo trade.

    Rafting Timber to get it to Sawmills etc has been used for centuries, both in Europe and more so, in the Americas. Doing it with Bamboo is even easier; Bamboo is lighter, and Air-Filled.

    They had to spend a lot of time to tie all those bamboos together to make their bamboo boat, then they must untie them all at destination. Better if they all got together and bought a diesel powered barge. 2 people run the barge, and then the 20 others can be back at the forest harvesting instead of pushing their bamboo boats SLOWLY down river. Their method is very inefficient, VERY.

    • @zerofox7347
      @zerofox7347 Před 2 měsíci +3

      It can’t be inefficient, It might be slow but that’s different. They don’t need anything but labour where I assume it’s very cheap.

    عمليات نقل الخيزران في النهر بهذا الشكل طريقة غير عبقرية ٠ لأن الرطوبة التي يمتصها الخيزران من ماء النهر تتلفه وتخربه ٠ أما لو يتم نقله بزوارق حتى لو طالت مدة نقله يكون أفضل ٠

    As cool as this is, you ain't seen nothing till you have seen how they used to run logs down the rivers here in Canada! Think of a log 10 times bigger than bamboo and thousands upon thousands of them! The loggers were masters of walking on the logs.

    • @fly-n-m9445
      @fly-n-m9445 Před 2 měsíci

      Yup, that’s what my Father did, because of his size and agility, he was able to run the logs and keep them from tangling. “The log driver”
