      Thank you so much for your kind words Peter 🙏🏻 I’ve been digging down into backing up songs for the past years, it’s a completely different angle of playing the harmonica ☺️ loads of fun! Yes we are currently working on our first album, will hopefully be recorded early summer 🤗🎶☘️

    Octave Pedal?

    • @irishharmonica
      @irishharmonica  Před rokem +1

      Thank you ☺️ it’s an octave harmonica with a Low-D and LowLow-D and I’m using a Beyerdynamic M88 microphone which enhances the lower frequencies 🙏🏻🎶

      @@irishharmonica Thanks for the replay.
      After googling a bit I concluded your setup is way over my budget. xD
      But I was already thinking about getting the BASS harmonica sound using pedals.
      Boss OC-3 Octave Pedal can add Low and LowLow range.
      And I already own Boss EQ-20 Equalizer pedal which I could use to adjust the overall tone and feel of the lower frequencies.
      As I already said I'm thinking about this idea for a whole now.
      And I think I'll get it just to try it out and play with it.
      Do you have any experience with Octave Pedals?
      Do you think I could get anywhere close to your sound here?

    • @irishharmonica
      @irishharmonica  Před rokem +1

      Ah yeah they do get a bit expensive, a lot of work to make them.. but yeah an octave pedal is definitely a solution, they seem to be pretty good these days. Personally I like to be as analog as possible, so I can’t say that I have any experience with them, you just have to try it. And use a microphone that enhances the lower frequencies, and above all playing with a big tone ☺️🎶
