Mine too. Takes a special person. 99/100 will be annoyed. Didn't stop me. Only twice in my life did I get to hear the beeping. Then, came the Rottweilers. 28-64 yrs old. No scaring the birds. Hope, before my time to transition, I get to have some again.
We’ve had zebra finches as house pets since before I was born, so it’s one of those familiar noises that I’m just used to hearing.

My zebra finch, Peep is all alone since losing his girlfriend (he had 2), mom, and recently, his dad. I put this on my TV to keep him company. He's singing up a storm! 🥰🥰🥰
Why not just get him company? Its not that expensive...

This makes me miss the days when my family owned zebra finches from the time we were living in New Hampshire all the way to 1998 (while I was living in Albion, NY) when our sole surviving female finch died of old age. I just love the way the finches are singing.
I miss my pair of these sweet things that I had as a kid. I loved to feed them spinach from my hands through the cage. Their names were Zack and Zelda. :)
I remember having Zebra Finches when me and my family lived in New Hampshire. Their names were Roger and Jessica, mostly because we watched the movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" an awful lot on VHS.

My veterinarian had a Zebra Finch in a special pen in her lobby. He would often sing this adorable little song akin to an electronic cash register.

This brought me back to my childhood. My mother had these adorable little stinkers and she got them so comfortable with us that we could hold them in our hands. Cute and sweet birds.

Hi i have 2 finches and i was wondering... how i can tame them? I just got them and im not sure what to do to make them comfortable around me? Do you have any tips?
It is easy if you have patience. First let them get used to enviroment at least one month, then put your hand next to the cage and hold it as long as it takes for them to get use to it. Hold your hand for 10 minutes on the cage few days. Close all windows and open the cage doors, let them explore the room while you clean the cage and when you give them fresh food they will return to the cage and will feel safe there. Then when they are around the cage hold the food next to the cage with your hand... You have to be patient and earn their trust, once you do they will come to you to explore or play.

I love them they are adorable. Reminds me of when I had generations of zebra finches. I named four of them after different candies. And four more after herbs.
My zebra finch was a great fan of the New Year's Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic (with the Radetzky March etc.). He loved to sing along.
My grandparents had a pair of zebra finches that would squeak and go "eent eent" all day. My grandpa named them Pete and Repeat.
I have one of those, planning on buying two more. Those finches are always full of energy.
I've had 10 birds in my indoor avery, but sadly this year 4 of them passed away. 😥 My sister had 2 young ones from her birds, and she gave them to me, and very soon i will get 3 more, because her birds have young ones again.
I love these little sweethearts and their funny sounds! 🥰 My oldest bird is over 5 years. Almost al my life i've had zebra finches, and i'm 58 now!

Just four male Zebra finches with no females. Their song is quite distorted and a long way from the wild type song that you would hear in Australia. Just recognisable though their toot call sounds the same. One has black cheeks, instead of the usual orange. That is a new one on me.
Brought home my second pair of Zebra finches yesterday, Zig and Zag. 🙂 They love this video! It seems to have helped them settle in. Singing like crazy to it. My first pair of Zebra finches, Zen and Zelda passed away a couple years ago. Zen made to 5 years old and Zelda to 8! They sure bring much joy to your home. Thanks for posting!

My son is a classical guitar player and our finch gets excited whenever my son plays.
So I decided to do a tally of who talked the most because I wanted to lol. I only made a mark when their names came up on the staff btw. So we have:
Mozart:17 (he loved to talk and he is also the winner🏆)
Bach: 16 (he liked to talk a lot too)
Chopin: 15 (pretty talkative)
Beethoven: 3 (clearly not a talker but that's ok we love him anyway) ❤

I love the black cheeked ones I almost got one for my chestnut female but I couldn’t find him again! I got her a different mate and they love each other so much!! I sing to them and they sing back 😂

This changed my life entirely. When I was asleep I accidentally drove to my nearest pet store and requested for all of their zebra finches. They asked me why and I responded with the word " Lasagna ". They were confused but nevertheless they got me all of the finches, they didn't care to take them out of their cage since it would be too much work to put them in all of those cardboard boxes. I didn't pay and left the store, next day I wondered why there was so much beeping sounds. I checked to see and it was all of the finches I bought. I am now an owner of about 200 finches, send help.

I'm not the biggest bird pro, but going off some research it would really depend on the species, and with every added pair there'd likely be more chatter. I did read that Zebra Finches are some of the enthusiastic kind, and will even great their owners
It's the males that do all the singing. So if you get a pair, only the male would be singing. I've had them. They just sing during the day but they weren't loud and it was always cute to come into the room to listen to.
I have 2 males that sing and they’re not at all loud, I have females too and are very quiet. They can have a scream fest when they hear other birds tho lol.
We have up to 4 zebra finch drink from our front lawn bird bath a beautiful sight in sheidow park Adelaide South Australia
Always something beautiful sounds about zebra Finches chirping very melodic as I used to have zebra Finches myself one male and female is it the male who chirps more from experience of the zebra Finches I had it was definitely the male who was more vocal brilliant video though 😃👍👍
