Dear Dan I follow your swiss tests directly from Alsace in France , that means not very far of Langenthal. You almost fall in love with all the cars that you are testing. So you understand that it is difficult for someone like me as a potential future client to have clear ideas about a future purchase. Your favorite expressions are all the same " I love this car" "Very nice" "Super cool". Can you make some comments about Nissan's bad reputation for being a reliable brand. The similar system with the last Hondas is not fully comparable but Honda is in the High End of reliable cars worldwide ( what is not the case of Nissan) . Just to be precise: I am seduced by the X Trail but I am just afraid to encounter technical problems in the next future.

I just was astonished that my comments were read by an Newzeelander so by a citizen living in the other side of our planet, knowing that I am french with a mix of french-german-swiss culture and living in that " 3 borders area" and only 130 kilometers away from the european parliament in Strasbourg. Probably... but not forget that diesel engines are banned in some cities, and the trend against diesel is ascending (justified or not). So what do you want Nissan to do? To develop a hybrid with a diesel engine and nobody buy it because of restrictions?
You know what's funny? A lot of carmakers stopped diesel alternatives from their line-up, but German cars have at least 50% of their offer based on diesels like they didn't ever hear about a Diesel Gate.
