Billiam I just have to know, do you still believe in the mothman? There's too much Bigfoot here I fear he may have replaced the mothman and that's a reality I can't bear to face
Here's My Factor, Skipping to 4:36! 😂
@marshalmarrs3269that's why it's good
Please do a ghost adventures video I used to get drunk with my bois and watch it all the time and laugh at the silly ness
No one will ever give a shit
I've been waiting for a sitcom where they just stop faking stuff and embrace the craziness and thanks to you, I just found it.
That’s not what a sitcom is.

@@cobra7166holy shit, mountain monsters is a sitcom!
Not going to lie, writing in a lore for Trapper that the guys follow is pretty touching. The show really feels like a dedication to him.
I love how they kept him in the opening sequence and made it into a memorial
They took that storyline from Supernatural and daddy Winchesters' monster hunting journal.... Actually, the whole thing is like a real life hillbilly Supernatural
@@eliharper6616they just need a time loop episode where Asia keeps playing and it'll be perfect.
Trapper we’re alway be great!
Something about seeing a group of fully grown men having genuine fun, is probably what makes it so entertaining for me.
hey i mean, what can i say? if they’re havin fun, i’m havin fun
@@supersoupy4709Absolutely agree. It's a joy watching this show.
LARPing with cryptids
I really don’t care what anyone says, having fun doing dumb shit in a forest is what life’s all about.
Yea! Look at them go!
Hillbilly dnd is the absolute best descriptor for this show and I DEMAND we get more shows like it in different domains. Peak television.
If I could make a recommendation, try looking up The Librarians. The series started as 3 movies that were basically b-movie, knock-off Indiana Jones, but the show is where it really hits its stride. It's fully acted, so not a "reality" show like this, but it does have people traveling through a magic door to battle ninjas in Oklahoma, and when people ask what they're doing they say "We're the Librarians" and magically everything is ok. It knows how to lean into the cheese and that's what I love about it.
The librarians is definetely a ttrpg and i love it, the first movie is a classic
this is just a years long game of Rifles &Rednecks and its fucking GREAT!
With the live camera crew, I just can't stop but laugh at how this has essentially become The Office, but for Bigfoot hunters
It's the Dwight schrute spin-off show
The office (bigfoots version)
this show doesn't feel like most fake reality tv shows, where a bunch of people are taken advantage of by a television crew, it just feels like a bunch of dudes having way too much fun playing out these elaborate games of pretend (to the point that they continue to involve their late friend into the fictional storyline as a way to honor his memory) and that's just wonderful
Someone should make a horror-comedy movie based off this. A bunch of Appalachian mountain men go on the hunt for Bigfoot and discover that there is a far greater evil lurking in the woods. Bigfoot then turns out to actually be super chill and becomes part of the team to help them defeat it.
"De-feet it"
Bigfoot and the Appalachian guy doing the predator handshake
You just handed them seasons 9, 10, and possibly 11. Thanks lol. Good luck to you.
Honestly, if they leaned into the silliness and made it an animated cartoon, it'd be so good hahaha
*Fun Fact:* Mountain Monsters is actually a documentary recreation of what Floridians call *"camping"*
Putting the "lore" in "Florida"...
Nah, I didn't see a single person eaten by a gator. 😂
@@danielled8665 that's just network censoring, you know this weak-ass networks wouldn't let the real florida truth out

I am ready for Billiam to do a seven hour long retrospective on the entire run of Mountain Monsters, just like he did with Lost.
Just the first 3 seasons not the whole show
@@TrundleMacDennisI wish it was the whole show
god i hope so
I'd watch that shit
He needs to finish Lost first. Though I am worried about his sanity by the time he's through...
I love that they honored Trapper in the intro and made him an essential part of the lore, even after his passing. You dont see that often in shows
TRAPPER DIED? rest in piece, he was a true legend.
I 100% believe the studio and the people that run the show keep making up new riddles and new things to lead them on. For them its 100% real. Some intern is sitting in middle of a field scribbling out another message in the dirt for them to find.
Have we learned nothing from Bolt (2008)?
Kayfabe man, kayfabe.
@genericname2747 They sleep in a trailer onset but a guy in a Bigfoot suit has to pass by every few to keep up the illusion

I'm surprised so many other Bigfoot hunting shows haven't taken the "Naked Brothers Band" approach of "this is obviously fake, but let's face it, it's way more interesting than it would be otherwise."
Billiam and Bigfoot is such a content combo.
He's no Mothman, but I'm here for it.
Mothmane
More Mothman never hurts.
I mean, hurting's what Indred Cole is for.

The Mothman stole my catalytic converter in Point Pleasant, West Virginia
I love this show, the idea of “what if you could actually find monsters on a monster hunting show?” is so fun and they really go all the way with it
“Hillbilly D&D” is the most accurate descriptor for this show I’ve ever heard, this is wonderful lmao
I desperately want someone to make an official Mountain Monsters ttrpg.
I’m weak… I need this to be a game asap
I _adore_ Mountain Monsters. I can't believe Finding _(Losing)_ Bigfoot thought they could come for these guys, they're so lame that rogue bigfoot hunting teams dont even bother kidnapping them
The premise of Finding Bigfoot is stupid too: you're supposed to show everyone what you found not your lack of evidence.
Yep, Bigfoot is like : "These people suck, I am going to the Mountain monster crew".
I didnt think I'd ever see big foot hunters literally just beat him up but now that i have this is the greatest thing ive seen

YES! I was already extremely happy that you covered it some in past videos but now you are returning to it again! Mountain monsters is something me and my friends laughed at so hard we would almost throw up and be sore , just from laughing so hard. My personal favorites are the early episodes with Mothman, the pig monster that they actually catch!....and it's seriously just a farm pig 😂. And of course the chupacabea episode where they catch it in the trap but then big foot comes and let's the chupacabra out because they keep them pets...it's priceless
Snallygaster!
Can’t remember which episode but the one where wild bill tries to jump into the bed of a truck, smacks the side, and slides off while trying to pull himself up is probably the single funniest scene I’ve ever seen on television
@@pika23 if I remember correctly it was snallygasters plural haha. I remember huckleberry yelling those snallygasters are everywhere when they are in a small shed that's being attacked on all sides by snallygasters. Weren't they like flying pterodactyls monsters 😂

I'm getting real "Adam Sandler bringing his friends to locations to vacation and also film movies" vibes from this team. They're just having a grand old time dropping all reality pretense and I'm fucking here for it.
Bit of a weird one, but there was a one-off special in the 90s called Ghostwatch.
Because the BBC was still a reputable channel at the time, it was believed by a lot of the audience to be real.
With them getting calls for the rest of the week about ghost experiences people had had, and requesting more information on the hauntings presented.
Eventually the BBC had to put out a statement in their news bulletins and release a press statement in the national newspapers to explain it was a mockumentary.
As far as I can tell, it's not been aired since the original broadcast. But does exist on DVD as well as a few streaming services and archival sites.
Hearing you describe it as a "Hillbilly D&D game" is so perfect
Mountain Monsters just needs to become an online live service game by now. Custom characters. You can form a party with friends, or join a random party queue to play with strangers, and hunt down the cryptid of the season, all with hints leading up to the end of the game boss battle where all players do a sort of battle royale for dibs on the catch/kill (to resemble the competing big foot hunters in the show).
There is a bigfoot hunting game, but the catch is that there is an actual bigfoot. Its a 4v1 multiplayer game, where 4 people play as the hunters, and the 5th player is Bigfoot, stalking them in the woods
I don’t know if anyone remembers this but on Disney there was a paranormal show called “So Weird” this was during the 90s, and it was one of the more interesting shows Disney had put out. The premise is about a young girl exploring the paranormal as she travels alongside her family during her mom’s comeback with her indie band. It wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea but it was very unique for a Disney show
I loved that show
My favorite thing they ever said was that the chupacabra are big foot's hunting dogs, so when they trapped them the big foot came and got them out.
Also funny how no matter what trap they build it will never work.
I remember watching the first few seasons of this show when it aired on TV, I had no idea it was still going. Sad to hear of trappers passing, this group all seemed so close to each other so I can't imagine how it must have been for them.
Awwee it really makes me happy they keep Trapper in the intro and mention him throughout. These guys prolly really are friends. Rest In Peace, Trapper. Your spirit lives on every time your boys go out searching for Mountain Monsters!
What makes me like this show so much is the fact that they're genuinely having fun. Rest in Peace, Trapper.
An Animal Planet based monster show from my childhood was The Haunted! It was a paranormal show that featured pet owners and their animals that aired in the 2010's, the editing is insane and the stories are...something
The fact that in the middle of a comedy video with real sarcastic intent, another well known youtuber creator felt the same wholesome vibe as this full "wholesome vibe" channel speaks miles about the big foot squad
Long live and rest in piece for the old loveble fellow
This show has the vibe of someone making an unashamed adaptation of an ARG.
The smoke wolf has a special spot in my heart. As remember not feeling well and see it in the middle of the night made. I laughed so hard I felt so much better.
They used to show this in the breakroom of a former job of mine (for some weird reason), and I very quickly fell in love with it since it's just so silly. I honestly kinda forgot about it since, so thank you for reminding me of it Billiam. Time to rekindle that love for me! ❤
I hope one day they fully embrace the craziness and actually have people in monster constumes to fight and capture
Whenever people tell me they can't change and they think they're dumb I always rebute with "don't worry I used to think mountain monsters was real". And they always burst out into laughter lol
My head cannon for the show is that they're all just very wealthy businessmen, Lawyers and Doctors and just decided to make a fake Bigfoot show to amuse themselves and get some tax write offs. Like Wild Bill is a Patent Attorney and Huckleberry is a Neurologist....
It just makes it makes for even more of a delight.
that's good lol
I mean, there is precedence for this. Look up the Duck Dynasty guys before they started the show. They're all pretty much just rich nepo babies who realized they could make money from fooling rednecks into thinking they were relatable.
Would you trust a neurologist named Huckleberry?
@@danabrownprivaledge Huckleberry is just his stage name, his real name is like Steve or something lol
You should see their houses mate. That theory about them being wealthy isn't too far off.
I can't wait to get hella drunk and binge watch this disaster. It's like they combined Duck Dynasty with Marble Hornets. It's brilliant.
This is a fantastic descriptor lmao
this show really feels like all the uncles in a town got together to make a youtube horror series but accidently put it on tv XD
As someone from the area yeah I'm amazed at the dialog & mannerisms they nail. If he wasn't dead I'd suspect Trapper was being played by grandpa. I can confirm smoke wolves while lame are a constant disscusion between outdoorsman in the area. Literally last weekend my grandmother was talking my ear off about the park rangers secretly releasing smoke wolves.
I highly recommend you track down & review "Animal X" pretty much all the episodes have been uploaded to CZcams to my knowledge there is no official release. It's amazing how quickly the format for monster hunting shows was even in the 90s. It also could be considered a weird precursor to Mountain Monsters in a way.
I have a second weirder suggestion. Just pick a cryptid & cover it's various interesting media appearances.
Animal X!!! Is that the one with the 2 young people with the older British "handler" scientist type back at base/lab?
@@picahudsoniaunflocked5426 that's the one exactly. Used to air late night on Animal planet & later Discovery Kids briefly.
Had a pretty good intro even if the show is kind of crap.
That would be Mystery Hunters which was a Canadian production
@@Holycow8498 thank you I was always under the impression it was a foreign production that was repackaged for animal planet.
I watched this show with my husband weekly. Never got tired of it. The hunt for the Grassman in Moonshine hollar was awesome. Grassman got addicted to moonshine & began stealing the moonshiners mash stash. A team stole Grassman's mash stash to lure him to their trap. Lol
Can’t wait for Bigfoot to join the party to help them fight Spearfinger in season 11
Heck yeah, the team up we have all been waiting for.
Hey so I don't know exactly if this counts but there is a "game show" you may be interested in. Scardey Camp. Basically teens (I think they were teens) are split into teams and have to complete horror themed challenges while staying in a supposedly haunted camp ground. One of the games involved dropping a kid alone in the woods blindfolded. Abandoning them. And then they have to find their way back to camp. And they are completely alone all the footage of that game is trail cams and the kids personal camera

Ok but everyone missed the whole Wild Bill/Sasquatch Jerky joke. The best (non homemade) jerky up here on the east coast that all us country folk love is a brand called Wild Bills. Used to be made here in PA before they got too big for their britches and sold to a company in Texas I think? Anyway, that’s the joke. And I say that as I’m sitting here watching and eating a bag of Wild Bills 😊
That’s funny. Being in the U.K., I had no idea about that. 😂
As a German I just gotta say I love this show! 👌 it’s so over the top and American and me and my dad were convinced (only the first 2 seasons before it got really fucked up) that those guys actually believe in those monsters and the production team just messes with them.
Are there German equivalents of these paranormal shows? Black Forest folklore's so spooky but I can't imagine a German UFO or ghost or cryptic show but I'm curious...
Would you recommend the show? It looks INSANELY funny.
@@picahudsoniaunflocked5426 Good question I actually don’t know. 🤔 I mean there are definitely some Documentary’s but nothing famous. But I also wouldn't mind a few more Heroscape episodes. The Florida battle was inspired! ❤😂
No lie, I find this show charming lol. They embrace the craziness and create a narrative around it. It doesn't try to come off as this serious documentary with encounters that may or may not be fake.
The music choices in Billiam docs always get my giggling, so fucking good. The fucking Overcooked theme in the sponser and don’t get me started on Backyardigans Castaways in the 8hr Lost doc. I appreciate the hell out of the Billiam team ❤😂

Real Appalachians know if you want to see Eldritch Horrors, you just leave your trashcan open overnight
One wild TV show is a UK gameshow called "Release the Hounds", that aired in ITV2. The idea was that contestants do challenges, like a horror themed Crystal Maze, to earn time to outrun angry dogs to win money. It was wild.
"46 years since my encounter not a day goes by that I don't think that Bigfoot.... Toes in your mouth."😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
i like the fact that they frequently scare each other into a blind panicky run.
I’ve been saying for years this is the best show on television. It’s ridiculous and it knows it and actually does what all other paranormal and cryptid shows refuse to do embrace the stupid. Again one of my top 10 shows of all time
I’ve seen this show and it’s every bit as ridiculous and entertaining as Billiam says. You know it’s fake, they know you know it’s fake and everyone is just there to have a good time.😂
Billiam is such a fun channel. Just a comforting channel to watch.
I love the channel and watch every video you post. That being said, every time I see that you posted a new video I get soooo excited thinking it will finally be the next installment of your Lost retrospective. Take your time, no rush, I just wanted to let you know that when you do post that video you will have made my day, week, and possibly month and year!
I need an episode about Conjuring Kesha, where the pop star explores a paranormal location with a guest star every episode. That way we can petition for a season 2

It's actually amazing how a bunch of hillbillies created a long running narrative over years and they added so much on the lore and the universe with character arcs and even rivals lol I also love how wholesome they are with no problem touching and hugging each other
I used to binge these types of shows like crazy. They were always so fun to watch
I would love to see you discuss monsterquest. I know you touched on it briefly during the animal planet video but I think a full video could be fun!
this show looks fun as hell to film. you can tell the actors are having a good time and probably cracking up in between takes. i want to watch the show now just because it seems so fun to watch, that’s probably how its garnered a loyal fan base.

I visited my parents recently and my dad was watching some Bigfoot show. They said Bigfoot regularly turns into orbs of light to escape people
There’s a show that said Bigfoot is a multi dimensional traveler
Those boys are heros. Putting their lives on the line week in and week out. God bless them
My prayers have been answered! Thanks so much for more Mountain Monsters!!!
HillBilly LARP sounds fun. Im sure the moonshine and abundant, bullet vulnerable wild life helps.
I’m so glad you and Danny Gonzalez are talking about this show cause for the longest time this was a childhood fever dream of a running joke between my dad and I, there was an episode where there was a very clear wire that dropped a goat carcass and one of them shouted, “THEMS A CORKUSS!!”
Why can’t I like this more than once? If there’s a video and(/or) a content creator worthy of a Like button that could be clicked as many times as the viewer wished, it’s Billiam and his content.

I've always been a fan of Monster Quest, personally. The narrator is so good.
We live in the PNW. This show reminds me of my son and his friends running around the woods, playing pretend until they would scare themselves with "what they saw" or heard. Mind you they were 10 or so...

There was a really stupid monster hunter show, where the "hunters" were called to investigate videos or photos of various monster encounters, but all they did was trying to recreate the footage and then say "Yup, it's a fake, because we could do something similar"
It was nothing but disappointment all the way through, but for the life of me I can't remember the name

I love that you said "unless these guys say some really awful things, MM is always gonna be wholesome" cause I was literally just thinking about Duck Dynasty while watching this & why I don't watch it anymore- it would sure be a damn shame if the Mountain Men were to show themselves as not good people like they are on the show....but how could they not be, they're so cute & sweet with each other! So wholesome.
That's my favorite part, too, I think.
I wouldn't call Duck Dynasty "wholesome", even though that's what they damn-sure tried to tie _every episode_ together during the credits...'family', 'love', 'acceptance' and 'togetherness' my ASS. 👎🏻
Everytime billiliam uploads a new video I go ooga booga

I remember watching this show called Faked or Fact: Paranormal Files that would like, debunk photos and videos of ghosts, or investigate if a place was actually haunted. It’s what has made me have a fear of ghosts to this day, even if it’s all most likely fake
I hope that when I’m older me and my friends end up doing this kind of stuff just for fun. You’re amazing, keep up the great work!

As someone who finds cryptids interesting from a folklore perspective, I dislike that shows like these often make up their own cryptids for content, which then get bunched in with actual cryptids. That makes researching stuff sometimes harder for me.
Just google it. If the majority of the results are from Mountain Monsters, you've got your answer. Just enjoy these dudes having a blast LARPing on tv
@@bloodyneptune I did not mean for this to be a reason not to enjoy the show or say that it's bad. If anything I am more mad at people who don't care to differenciate between actual legends and stuff made up for "Reality" Shows.
I of course google stuff, but a lot of information on cryptids is hard to find as it is already. There are enough people online who see these shows as actual sources of information and might not clarify that they only got it from the show. People like these are then spreading enough posts about the creature that don't refrence it being made up for TV. With the addition of a lot of websites just quoting eachother and copying information.
I'm just not a fan of these dudes taking indigenous folklore for their show. It's an important part of the culture to ask permission for stories and whatnot.
@@genericname2747 Sadly the idea of cryptids in america inherently attracts that kind of disrespect.
