My male budgie is going through a long moult. And, he baths regularly. But by god's grace, he is happy and playful even in moulting. :)

My birds just molted about 2weeks ago, I finally got to find out what most of their genders were because of it because most of them finally hit that 1year mark, and yes I’ve been counting since I got my first batch of hatchlings lmao, I gave one of my males to my friend for his lonely female and he says that they’re getting along great, can’t wait to see more baby budgies so I can keep enjoying the precious life cycle that these guys creat

Omg always cleaning feathers but its soooooo sad to see them scared of the vacuum so I just give up and what always is so cute is when they will yawn and then fluff up in the little fuzzyist ball I just want to squeeze them but I wont , love the content keep up the good work!!!

My two budgies like to be sprayed with water. I ask them if they want a spritz? They then fly to the top perch a d fluff their feathers. I spritz them and the are happy and they fluu and preen their feathers I love your kitchen sink bird bath! I have learned a lot from your videos!

Before my budgie died bc of the cold inside my country and didn’t know budgies could die from the cold so I turned on the AC bc I was sweating and my male budgie he was like a baby I don’t know how old is he but he died from the cold I was scared of birds so I called my cousin to get him out of the cage and he couldn’t fly he was so weak we put him in safe warm place then later he died rip I miss him. He earned my trust I let him out of the cage I don’t let him stay in the cage but now I have a lot of budgies I will be more careful and don’t open the AC if you’re country is cold! Be careful now I have 17 budgie I put them in a big room so they can fly and have more space to fly!❤️

It’s so tricky sometimes when it molts u think it’s molting but it’s also sick at the same time lucky we took ours to the vet big bills later but our little budgie is still alive and well!!! 🙏🏼

My budgie probably has french moult (I havent gotten the diagnosis yet, but the vet said soon) but he is growing back his feathers and now he looks like a little cactus birb but hes still cute
l learned so much but so much Alen AxP and l will learn even more with time , you have problems with their lice l have , l have lollipops but they throw lice and mites and it is very difficult to eliminate , but that´s right , but always accompany them l like your videos a lot and l learn a lot and l learn a lot from your videos, Alen AxP can you give me advice on how to deal with the lice on the lollipops?😃😃💓💓👍👍😄

@Alen AzP My two budgies one male one female have been molting for 2 weeks now. They went through a few molts since I got them last summer 2022. The male is losing quite a few pin feathers and a tail feather as well. The top of his head looks a bit sparse and I thought I noticed a blood spot on the top of his head. Could that have been a pick from the female? I got these two last summer for free from someone who advertised them online. She said she had them for 3 years, but these two won't eat anything but seed and are terrified of lettuce or fruit being put in their cage. They are even terrified of a hand going slowly into the cage. I don't know what kind of life they had before me getting them but I have had a budgie before and they never acted so afraid of everything. Other than that they are pretty normal. They chirp bob their heads play with their toys. Hmm I guess what I'm wanting to know is how many times in a year does this molting happen and how long does it happen? They have been through two molts for sure since last summer maybe this is the 3rd one but I'm not sure. Can you help me out I'm a my wits end with these issues?
One of my Budgie is going throufh a tough molting, she even lost a few flight feathers and canr properly fly because of it. So she stays inside more often to rest, even tiny bald spots but very very small feathers in those tiny areas.

You can help your budgie open the pin feathers near their face and head (they can't reach those areas on their own)! Your budgie may bow their head in front of you to et you know they would like some help. Be very gentle so not to disturb pin feathers that are not ready to be opened - your budgie will probably bite you if you do so to let you know :p
Never EVER touch the pin feathers because they are super sensitive , the budgie will take care of the feathers on their own by rubbing their head on hard objects to ease the irritation.
@@josephbennett3482 The pins are super sensitive so it is important to be mindful. If you know what you are doing, you will know how to avoid the blood feathers. You can watch some videos on youtube of people helping their birds open up their feathers to learn more :)

Separate from your healthy budgie cover his cage keep him quiet hope helps I use to keep budgies.

Wait till it gets atleast an year old. It is not healthy for them to lay eggs before they turn 1. If it is female wait till her cere turn flaky and tan and if it is a male his cere will turn deep blue in mating condition

My new albino budgie managed to learn how the locks on its cage works left the room for 10 minutes and it was out, he's not even tamed yet and it's 1 am now :(
