- Going into the weekend the numbers for #ghostbustersfrozenempire are not looking great domestically as the film is projected to make less then not only #ghostbustersafterlife but even #ghostbusters2016 ...while this may not be a death knell for the film, it is definitely not great #boxoffice #boxofficepreview

Patton Oswald, nuff said. Not going.
I loved the movie. Patton isn’t in it much and honestly he wasn’t bad at all. I’m no Patton fan either
This Ghostbusters reunion is 10 years too late. But, overall, there are just so many ongoing "nerd" franchises that's it is impossible to stay invested in them all. They just announced another Alien movie. It's a nostalgia overload.
I'd say it's 20 years too late. If this was 2004 and the film starred the original four characters, I'd actually be excited to see it.
Seeing Ghostbusters not do too well is not surprising. The franchise mostly consists of a limited U.S. fanbase. I wouldn't be surprise if it does roughly the same numbers as its predecessor did back in 2021. People may use COVID as an excuse, but No Way Home came out less than a month after Ghosbusters.
They should of made the first remake of Ghostbusters revolve around adults like the first and not a family and children
Ghostbusters had 1 movie and all the supposed 'sequels' are mass hysteria
Tbh the trailers for this new Ghostbusters haven't done anything to make me want to go and see it. Looks like a streaming movie. I'll probably just go and rewatch Dune Part 2 and then Godzilla×Kong.
Sadly no surprise GB franchise was damaged by that 2016 crap and while Afterlife was fun it didn't exactly take the franchise too new heights
Afterlife did what it set out to do, repair the damage caused by that 2016 drivel.
Not to say it won’t be good, but I feel like there will be a lot of forced comedy in this one. And though I like the guy, I think Paul Rudd is just going to be Paul Rudd in it. I never felt like the OG Ghostbusters was a comedy. It was a paranormal style movie that had comedy elements to it. Had just the right amount balance to it, which made it great.
With Nintendo Princess Peach new game & Dragons Dogma 2 game & animated X-Men 97 & Adidas x TMNT Shell Toe sneaker all releasing Friday 22nd I’ll be busy & no time to watch Ghostbusters at the cinema
Ghostbusters is a niche franchise. I feel disappointed to see this movie opening up this low. Perhaps people are skipping this and getting ready for GxK, but even forecast shows that GxK is opening around 45M-50M. It's not good, but the walk up, may he help GxK, which traditionally, it usually does on Easter weekend, but who's knows
Don’t want to see any movie bomb really even if I don’t particularly care for it . The only ghostbusters property I have actually really enjoyed is the real ghostbusters the first four seasons in particular. Being born in the 90s I caught reruns of the show growing up and it actually made me want to seek out the movies.
Though I didn’t actually seem them I think until around 2010 , I was 19 or 20 . I thought the first movie was just ok although I appreciated the chemistry of the cast , the second movie I thought was just a bad movie , I haven’t seen the 2016 movie.
I didn’t care for afterlife but my girls enjoyed it but I did think it was nice way to end the franchise . Because of their fondness for afterlife we are taking them to this new one , I kind of get it this is for kids a new generation of potential ghostbusters fans but if that the case why all the lazy call backs Why not do something completely new ? I don’t know I don’t get it , but i do hope it doesn’t fall off a cliff if only for movie theaters benefit, and who knows audiences may end up really liking it , after got decent but not great reviews audiences seemed to really like it and I guess that’s the most important thing .
I don't watch TV, so that may be a lot of it, but I haven't seen a single ad for this online. where is the ad spend going? Is it abandoned?
People have been trained to wait for streaming and dvd release 🤷♀
I’m excited to watch Late Night with the Devil this weekend! It’s looking really intriguing and it’s getting some really positive buzz!
61.6 million is great for first weekend
No it isn't. Watch the darn video lol
@@OMBReviews it’s ahead of afterlife by a million mate
@@OMBReviews afterlife had 43-44 million opening frozen empire 45 million, international is just as important as domestic numbers
@@OMBReviews also no china which is a plus
@@OMBReviews some people said Wonka would be a flop and look what happened to that, some films have slower starts then others but have gets higher as time goes by
Reports say that Dune part 2 has already broke even and the money that they'll make from now on will be profit.
Not based on the numbers so far. But it’s very close
@@OMBReviewsHow much profit do you think it needs to have for Dune 3 to be greenlit? 100 million? 200 million? Or we have another The Batman 2 scenario where WB doesn't know what to do?
This Ghostbusters Sequel is going to be a Flop.
Idk about that it’s already at 61.6 million in its first weekend
Chump Change for a Movie.
@@tigermask3831 not really but ok 🤣
Godzilla X Kong will knock It off the Top Spot of the Boxoffice next week.
@@tigermask3831 for its opening Yh films always number 1 first weekend, I just see ghostbusters frozen empire reclaim it back tbh, Godzilla and kong films don’t tend to do well the American ones
The film is let down by terrible writing. A lot of shit happening but no cohesive story.
Stop talking about franchises. Most films are not now, never have been, and never will be franchises. What's wrong with talking about the Ghostbusters series?
It is a franchise whether you like it or not
