You did a great job. Cutting your own hair is hard as hell. I gave myself an undercut from a grown out pixie, and it was so hard getting my lines straight.
You should look up an over directed layered shag hair cuts. Basically it’s when you layer the hair but always over directed towards the face. This creates a super cool mullet look and keeps the hair very thick and fun to play with!

I have literally the same cowlick, didn't really notice until I cut my hair into a mullet and shaved the sides. The whole side with the cowlick likes to stick up straight in the air and show off what an ass job I did shaving, while the other side falls down like perfect bangs around my head
