Hello everyone! Today in this video I will show you how to make a traditional Chinese Moon Rabbit Lantern to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival (the Moon Festival). Exactly! It is the lamp featured in the beginning of the movie Over the Moon.
In 2022, China's Mid-Autumn Festival or Moon Festival falls on September 10 (Saturday) 2022. We Chinese celebrate by gathering for dinner, worshiping the moon, lighting paper lanterns, eating moon cakes, etc. It is a time of reunion for families.
Also, do you know what Chinese lanterns mean? Normally what we talk about are round Chinese lanterns, but in this video, we are going to see how to make a different but very nice Chinese paper lantern step by step, very traditional lantern. I use small strips of bamboo and cotton paper, if you don't have you can also substitute metal wire and absorbent kitchen paper.
