Plug it into a charger, press play/pause and Bluetooth buttons until the unit shuts off, then unplug and turn on.
No they have special Software for Demo mode

I've been a fan of you fluffs for a long long while, and i was here before i got my own JBL speaker, and even now when i have sold it :D
What i really can't wait for.. is for you to make a 2022 update on ALL of your jbl speakers lined up, and some short 10 second video of which video that exact speaker has been in
I've heard that some combination of the vol+, Play, and BT buttons may work, or holding power and play until the speaker turns off and then hard resetting using play and vol+ buttons.
I've done this with my charge 5 to put in aux mode via usb c you plug the speaker into a charger and u turn it on and hold bluetooth and play/pause to bring it back into bluetooth or aux

Hard reset? Lfm (debug m.)? Checked inside if is the safe look at chips. Try another battery / board inside, if is it same, problem will be with other components... Under civer is it the same?
I did the whole math and i realize he spent 4.366 $ on all of this speakers what a billionaire.
He probably got given all the demo units from all the stores which are replacing the flip 5 demo units for the flip 6 demo units

You can get a csr bluetooth programer for like 30$ and download the firmware from a non demo unit and reload it to the demo ones

You should be able to hold BT & play or BT +
That shoud make it exit demo mode. I dont 100% know, but it works for older demo units.
Alr so there is 2 options. One most likely will not work but worth trying but the second one will definetly work if motherboard is 100% same as orig.
1. There is key combination on older JBL's like Charge 3 or Flip 4 that if you press connect and volume up buttons it activates pretty similar thing that it turns on only while charging and sound aswell only while on aux. You can try plugging it in and holding partyboost and volume up.
2. for the second option you need android 5.0 or higher phone and unofficial JBL flashing app called ''connectPlus 1.1.2. Also find a leaked firmware for Flip 5 with CSR chip.
Then open the app. It should show a speaker even if it isnt paired to your phone.
Then go to flash dfu, open that firmware you just got and press start flashing.
One of these options should work.
Last one that is 100% working is to use csr usb programmer that can be bought on aliexpress for 30$ and using csr flueflash (BLUESUITE) san be flashed original firmware straight into processor memory. Bot i dont have experience with flip 5 or any new speakers so idk how it works on them. Give a like if i helped someone.
I think flip 5 does not use CSR chip anymore. They've changed to another brand recently with the new speakers line up

@@Krishna-ll1ch 3.2 is stock firmware that flip 4 was sold with. These firmwares are flashed by manufacturer and are were not leaked to public. Usually the next update is same as the first one for ex charge 3 orig firmware is 3.2 and after first update to 5.4 it still had old connect and same sound specs as 3.2. If you really need it there is only one way. You need some1 that have flip4 with 3.2 on it and so you can disassemble it, take your CSR programmer and make backup of 3.2 firmware. Then edit the file you got so that you remove the boot sector and flash it into your flip4 by CSR programer . you can try it without programmer using bluesuite's command prompt. Turn on your speaker, press and hold Bluetooth and plus until it shuts down. Then connect it to computer via USB and in cmd you make backups and flash as well. If you want more detailed instructions on that I can help. But don't try to flash freshly obtained 3.2 without editing into speaker you wanna downgrade. It will brick itself and then you have to use programmer to wipe it entirely and flash a cracked unofficial 8.8.8 or 8.8.9 firmwares with garbage bootloader that it will brick if you even try to officially update it.
@@billydakidz_bdk yea might be QCC. That little b... I have my boombox1 ND with qcc chip. ConnectPlus doesn't support it yet. And the firmwares for it is only bins that can't be force flashed. But boombox1 PL for ex have CSR chip so it can still be flashed that way

This is because the JBL flip 5 is in demo mode try holding volume+ and partboost for more then 10 seconds, If this does nothing i have bad news, Your unit is a demo model, Meaning you can't use it its just for show.

Its in service mode. Press Bluetooth and play and pause button it may work
for issues like this I wish JPL would release the software so you can install it yourself so if you buy a display model, but the problem is they can’t because thieves would do it all so unfortunately you’re either stuck using wired audio or using them for parts for retail versions
That will never happens, a demo unit is just for display in shops and it’s designed like that so people dont just steal or order a demo one for free and then use it like a normal unit

you can buy display demo units for for example a TV you can it’s just not the greatest idea because the TV has been used and abused in the shop or store that it was in by customers

@@snowyydays somethings you can buy the demo version and have no problems with it sometimes like a TV you for example can switch the settings to home use but the problem with that is most of the time to demo unit has been used and abused in the store by the workers and customers and most likely may be missing the original remote, so you’re stuck with the replacement generic remote if you want a remote that you have to purchase yourself as well but if you don’t care about that, I don’t mind that then you’re good

press play button and bluetooth button at the same time until it the jbl turning on sound is heard.Then unplug it and connect to bluetooth

Jbl demo units is in cable mode but you can toggle it back on battery mode
I guess that there's a key combination to toggle back it to battery mode

Some update. I changed the IC WS96388 but unfortunately the IC WS96388 is blocked. in demo mode.

Try holding down one of the buttons when you power up.
I'll tell you, but I want one for myself. OK first you have to take off the fabric cover unscrew the driver and hook the Bluetooth button up manually. Jbl sends demo units to the store but to discourage theft of display units they unplug the Bluetooth button so the thiefs think it's built without Bluetooth. Hit me up with a response when you complete it.
I hava a demo unit and buttons board and everything else is connected like in retail i think its a software lock

I've never found a jbl issue I couldn't solve so let me know and I'll hit you with some more options till you get one that works, they use button combos to program the developing mode software but change them with models and gens

I don’t think this is a software issue. I believe the hardware isn’t even installed, like no Bluetooth module or battery.

Hab ne charge 5 und die ins Wasser geschmissen nach 2 Stunden wolte ich musik hören aber die box geht nicht mehr an und ich kann sie nich mehr laden und wenn ich die passiv Membrane an rein drück dann kommt der druck aus dem tief töner wie als wenn wasser in der dox wehre
