- SRTF (Shortest Remaining Time First) CPU Scheduling algorithm has been explained with an example. SRTF is also known as SJF with pre-emption. Completion Time, Response Time, Average Waiting Time and Average Turnaround Time has also been calculated with the help of Gantt Chart.

@@jatinukey4062 it's because these topics require patient to understand as teachers don't explain step by step every time,but CZcams does as we can pause, repeat etc..but some students able to grasp from lectures itself.

Good explanation of the concept Mam, but I have one doubt.
At time = 4, all the processes arrived in the ready queue, so why did we not start applying SJF at that point itself.
For ex: if burst time of P3 would have been 4, then in this case do we need to continue to pre-emptive method for one unit of time and then start applying normal SJF?
