Rivera builds some of the highest quality and most beautiful boats imo.
The first I heard of this boatyard was a couple of years ago on this channel, after all they are on the "far side of the world" compared to me; but after that every single model Rivera has impressed me and this is no exception. Congratulations Australia.
That’s an awesome boat!
What a great looking boat!
Beautiful!
Very good video as usual Boat Test. Well done
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
Great looking yacht.
Beautiful looking boat.
Interesting to note how the Aquila 70, a catamaran, with two 1,000 horsepower engines on straight propeller shafts, was 27 Knots, despite being a giant, compared to this sports yauct.
The Aquila 70 is basically a super fancy, four bedroomed house, on water, that also doubles basically as a sports yauct.
But this boat still looks really beautiful.
Yes, interesting indeed. Which of the two would you prefer? After watching a couple tours of the Aquila 70, I'd go with this Riviera 6000 or the new 6800.
Sadly we had calm conditions I have never seen you do a test in choppy or rough conditions
.
Engine room looks like a nightmare.
Bog-standard tradeoff if you want a vessel with an aft garage for a Williams Jet. Other vessels manage to be maintained so it must be possible, if awkward.
Yeah I'm not sure why they put that useless tender garage in. They're dumb ideas unless you have a 70+ foot boat as they only fit one type of tender and take up so much room
@@blewyd they REASON they put that "useless" tender garage in is THEIR CUSTOMERS INSIST UPON IT. The big UK "wedding cake" brands (Sunseeker, Princess, Fairline, etc., along with many foreign 'cake' brands such as Galeon) all have options of their models in the '40 to '60 range, some have tender garages, others don't. Some customers prefer the no-tender and seating option, other customers require a tender garage. What you think of as a dumb and useless thing that you would never purchase is a wise and useful thing for other people.
@@darthkek1953 i haven't seen many boats that have the tender garage actually use them for tenders, but just for fender storage, lines, cleaning supplies, etc. Im in America, so we might have different needs than others around the world. To me, it would be useless.
@@blewyd Everybody in Europe uses them for the Wiliams Jet Tender. A 50mph sports RIB you can use for water sports, trips from anchor to the beach, supplies, etc. But absolutely there are LOADS of customers who insist upon a garage.
A bit disappointing, no different engine options, C'mon Riviera. 🤣
Volvo Penta D13 IPS 1350s (1,000 hp each) would've been nice. Those are the standard engines in the new 6800 SYPE.
