  • Tsurinoya Clever spinning rod from AliExpress tested and reviewed whilst fishing for brown Trout in a tiny stream. This rod is a real "Trout Special". There are options of spinning and baitcasting versions.
Also, this rod has very high specifications: Fuji components and 36T carbon. All in all, it should cost at least 2x more. It's a real steal when it comes to budget rods.
    Enjoy.

I have the older version baitcasting version of this rod and love it paired with the 16 aldebaran. It's nice and crisp and has good hook setting power.

I think you will be interested with some budget kyorim and noeby rods. Kyorim Carza 2 632l and noeby a7 trout ul-l rods are the good choice for lite game i think.

Even though all of them have different in lengths, Teton 2-10 g. is the most universal IMO.

As always superb videos, thank you for sharing. I have a question for you: I can buy a Daiwa UL spin 1-9 gr 1.90m for about 40 euros (less in pounds) do you have any thoughts on this rod?
Somehow I think Daiwa is a proven manufacturer compared to Tsurinoya, maybe I am wrong as I am a total novice in spinning.

Hi Andrew. I had the same rod but in casting version. I found it too stiff for small trout baits. Couldn’t cast properly 2g cranks. It loads nice from 3g. Goes well with 5g Japanese trout baits. Tip is too thick for an ul rod 1.4mm. If it was 1.2 it would have been perfect. But it does look nice and it’s properly built. I think the tsurinoya dragon ul rod is more appropriate for ul baits.
