Anyone out there still listening to this masterpiece in 2020 it gets me through these hard times ✌✌✌✌✌✌..
Yep!! Still loving it
Outstanding track, just recently discovered this one 😄
Me just now!! It's fucking great xx
Yeah
Yes, this has been a go-to for me for about 25 years now
The chord progression of these violins is simply unforgettable. What a masterpiece
Honestly, I still get the same goosebumps as i did when I first heard it in 2000. It's my alarm music and will be the song I listen to for the rest of my life. It's never gotten old.
That's a lush idea - the alarm. I love this piece of music soooo much. I have a similar sentiment towards a song I've owned since 14yrs old and it's my alarm too hehe.
How do you make it your alarm music? Do you have to download it ? Apologises I know its probably a stupid question, me and technology don't really mix to well
Oh wow, I forgot that this came out in 2000!
Great idea about having it as your alarm music. I had Honey by Tosca (one-half of Kruder and Dorfmeister) as my alarm for years. Another great song that will never get old!
Goosebumps 💯 yes! Hair on my arm and neck standing up laying in bed stroking the shoulder of my slumbering baby after an evening out (Les Nuits - the night - indeed; I used to think it was l'ennui 🤦). A trip-hop classic I had forgotten. The 3 min radio edit is wonderful, but the twice-as-long LP version takes it even further. Love love love this song (and your story of appreciating it!).
had this on CD - Hed Kandi: Serve Chilled 🌛 but must have been 2003-4
truly is a masterpiece + also impressed how well the video compliments the track - great work
I can always appreciate good music... But my soul appreciates this song specifically. 😊
This perfect song blocks out all the nasty stuff in life and puts you in your own heaven......👌🎶
I found this music and felt so good when I was twenty. I’m over forty now and am still here. I guess that I would be listening to this in the rest of my life.
With you bro
Me too) forever..!
This track is my best friend
This and "la femme d'argent" from Air are my favorite chill musics.

@@rolletroll2338 ohh you're gonna fall absolutely in love with thievery corporation
Nightmares on Wax just recently appeared on stage during an open air Jazz concert here in Nuremberg. I almost started to cry when they played Les Nuits together with a Big Band. It was an incredible listening experience.
and nobody recorded it ???
I feel u . So many memories with that song. Its a part of me now. Peace
das glaub ich auch
@@leyasep5919 God a hope a recording shows up somewhere, or already has.
masterpiece of blending electronic chill and lounge music. after almost 20 years still amazing!!!
today i listen first time after that time...same sound, other me. life is short!
yup.. but it still can't beat 'so here we are' .. i think that's their best track.
Already! Only seems like yesterday......
I remember coming home on the bus and my friend had bought the 1st album on cassette. Later that evening his walkman chewed it up :(
There is jazz also in here
90s. Peak Human civilization.
Hasn't aged a day, just as good now 2022 as it was when it was released. My go-to relaxation/chill track. Look out for the 3io version 💯
Music from a perfect universe.
very good description, my friend
Or planet... 🌍
@@clocked3585 in fact I know this one from a 1990ies show on German TV called "Space Night"
You nailed it.Listening to this escapes from the madness.

And ever, bro) From Russia with a best regards!
No matter how hard it feels, how painful it gets, life must go through
Amazing.
Always been a big fan of Trip Hop and the likes of
Nightmares on Wax, Portishead, Tricky, Massive Attack,
Unkle, Morcheeba, Sneaker Pimps, DJ Krush, Amon Tobin, Allflaws
Thanks for some new names! Sneaker Pimps' album with Kelli Ali is my favorite album of all time, to be honest.
@@wes.9353 sounds like "garbage"
Don't forget Zero 7
@@RM-lj8bv Yes a great act
Everything but the Girl
I'll never stop listening to Nightmares on Wax. It soothes gravity. Classy and mesmerising. Thanks for the music.
It's still brilliant...
This Track is pure Art.... saw him 2 Times in Berlin and i allways start to shiver when "Les Nuits" start. Thank's for this gift to us
I just came down for breakfast at 7am in my hotel in Tallinn, Estonia and this was playing in the dining room. 👌🏻
they dont get much better than this, folks
I always play this before dj shadow's midnight in a perfect world. I'd listen to both while driving at night. This track will always be timeless.
also my other favorite track!
This is legendary, timeless, and in a class of its own ... future generations will be classifying this as one of the best works of art of this era.
Best chillout production ever. love it
...Life is great:
This young man (maybe 20yo)
can listen to this sound and ride the scooter in the sun for the next 80yo...
❤️🍺🚴🍺🎼☀️😭😎✔️
A dying old man✔️
definitely one of my all time favourites!..
yeah 🤘🏼😻!!!! 🚬🍁🇲🇽
Carboot Soul...an amazing album then and now. A true masterpiece and one of my all time faves 😎✌️
Been listening to this since 1999. Just bought the album on vinyl. 2022. Never too late!
A very specific emotion was conveyed here. Something we could never place before this song.
Aww... this version is cutting short the best part of the song - that moment when the mellow bassline fades and only the strings remain, to put you into a mood of sweet, relaxed melancholy.
Still as special as the first time I heard it in 2000
Cafe del Mar of course....
This song on a shroom trip while walking through my city park was amazing. It made so happy and sad at the same time
try walking to pluto!
Still sound so amazing !
You so damn right :D
I'm 62. I keep this on loop sometimes. . partly because I've forget where I've put the remote but mainly because this is so cool .
J’ai entendu ce morceau la premier fois sur la plage du café del mare, Eivissa, mixé par Carl Cox il y a près de 20 ans. Moment inoubliable au coucher du soleil entre les deux îlots. Les connaisseurs apprécieront 😊
My nocturnal soundtrack. Played it over 1000 times from release... 💜
first time I heard this track was in August 2009. sat at cafe mambo in Ibiza and this was spinning the very moment the sun set over the horizon before an epic night of memories. still listening in 2021
Same... heard this ibiza 2002 fantastic 👌 beautiful evening
58 yo and still listening to this beauty
Nightmares on wax are always guaranteed in the ears, and the soul
było takie radio jak Radiostacja, w którym wieczorami była audycja gdzie w tle leciał zapętlony właśnie ten utwór.....ech piękne czasy:)
This is pure heaven
Oh yes I'm still listening! Nothing compares to NOW.
Les Nuits is my absolute favorite Track. It has been my favorite for many many years now and will still be my favorite when I grow old and tired.
One of the best chillout instrumentals of all time. Only maybe beaten by Leftfield's Melt. An absolute classic.
If the story of my life was told on a DVD, this song would be the startup menu song!!!
J'adore les sons diversifiés de Nightmares on wax un grand talent !
coolest music ever heard to the ears
It’s June 1999……. I’ve just bought a very early edition of Ministry Magazine……. #4…….Free mixed CD. “Chillout” mixed by A Man Called Adam. Track 6.
And the way it comes in and the way it leaves are bliss!
Been haunted by this track for 23 years and counting!
Tune has been serious business all this time!
Thank you KmOW
This is and has always been exceptional. You know I live in the country side now, but lived in London for 30 years and always found a certain beauty in urban scapes, no matter how athstetically un pleasing on the eye.
An electronic-orchestral-jazz masterpiece
+Piotrek Recrd It's down tempo. not whatever the fuck you just said :P
2008 I had the honor to meet those great guys in a club in Berlin. Remember VMS ;) This track is still one of my favorites and evergreen as ever.
I had not heard it for a long time. I almost forgot how good this track was.
Same.
I could listen to this song on repeat for hours. 😍
I am crying. With love and everything with it.
This video and music is my religion.
23 years later. Hasn't aged a single day. Cool as fk!
2023 still the sound that gets me trough life
In the 90s. This was the track ....to go sleeping.. thank you👍
Remember seeing this a lot on MTV Dance UK. Makes me nostalgic for the great days of Warp Records and trip-hop music. Brilliant! I even thought because of the namesake of the song title Nightmares On Wax was French? Ouais, je l’aimerais !
if the world flowed like this, it would be an amazing place!!!!
Yes, that is still amazing....after 20 years...
If i have to choose 3 songs , 3 masterpieces, in all my life , that would be one of them.
what are the other two?
I've never felt this relaxed before.
try listening to dj krush, I dont think I've ever made it through an entire album without falling asleep
Ben Schebella thanks for the recommendation. will give him a listen
+Ralph Livingston the track I'm thinking of is green rain, but the whole album "zen" is awesome too
When you build a song from a great foundation, you can't go wrong. Thanks, NOW, for introducing me to Quincy Jones's beautiful cover of "Summer In The City", which provides the anchor for this track.
its like a glass of wine.
if you replay this second, third, fourth time.. its like you are going to second, third, fourth glass of it.
Why do I love this song so much!! Anyone else is thinking of the outside of space
Tapping my foot rn to this beat😌🎵
One of the most beautiful composition ever. All life in 6 minutes and 20 seconds (original version)
I haven't lived 'till I do this one day, listening to Les Nuit by Nightmares on Wax. So great so CHILLED.
