Just as a heads-up - I'm not "quitting yugioh," or changing my content on this channel. I was just happy to get a break playing something, ANYTHING else in-between Fiendsmith replays. Back to normal tomorrow!

Honestly, I would have no issue if you decided to take a hiatus from yugioh, and share with us more of these other games.
Giving us your analysis, seeing in real time how the game evolves since its infancy, making the foundation of its community, etc etc.
To me it sounds like a more fun time. At least please consider to make more content of this stuff; your community needs the mental healing from being stuck in the same toxic game for decades.
Seconded, I've been looking for something to play that's not a big three game to fill the Keyforge-shaped hole in my heart.
When and where is the elestrals locals being held?
When's the Digimon TCG video then
They even keyword their once per turns! lol
Looks really cool, unfortunately I can't get into it because there isn't a digital version and I live in a third world country, hoping they release an online sim soon
There's no way the broke boy Elestrals video was a couple of years ago, I can't accept that. The unstoppable passage of time will NOT affect me, I refuse
Fun fact! “The Rat Bastard” is actually a player psychographic Mark Rosewater acknowledges for MtG. He calls it the Griefer, and he’s talked about it at length on his blog.
It's so funny, cuz when he brought it up I immediately thought: "Oh! It's me! The Esper Player!"
I can't believe we have Maro talking about Scam(inator) players in his blog
You know, after the Fiendsmith short I said to myself "I actually would be interested in giving Elestrals a shot". Seems like I wasn't the only one. I'll check out the app!
Absolutely! The app is completely free as well & you get every single playable card available to you out of the get go!
@@TailwindZ Hope it becomes successful then i can try on my Xbox one day. I do have this on my phone but not tried it yet.
Fully disclosing that I work for and am paid by Elestrals lol, I love Elestrals. We've got so much good stuff cookin, you gotta hop in early and join the hype!
I literally learned to play poker because i wanted a fun game
I’m like a minute into the first game and the spirit deck as a concept is really churning my mind juices, it’s so cool.
Sweet! It's so much fun having an RPG mechanic like controlling how many spirits you use!
It's really interesting and spirit management (life management) is a key skill to learn. When life is resource is dmg every life matters notnjust the last!
Its spelled yugiel, the elestral yugioh player
This joke is too high brow for MBT viewers
@@tootsie_ as an MBT viewer, I agree, I don't get it
@@tootsie_EXPLAIN THE JOKE
@chrishansen1842 you see, his current name is MBT-YuGiOh. MBT is a reference to his deck in Magic, Mono Blue Tron. He's known in the YuGiOh community as the "YuGiOh player who plays Magic". However, since he has been making more and more Elestral content, if he ever swapped to Elestrals from YuGiOh but made a new name with a similar name format to his current name, his name would be YugEl since its referencing the game he doesn't play anymore for the game he plays now. Yugi from YuGiOh, and El from Elestral.

Yoooo, you killed this vid MBT. Loved watching it! Elestrals has been so much fine and the concept of using your life to cast cards is super unique. Can't stop playing!
YEESS!!! SUCH AN ENJOYABLE VIDEO! Anytime you talk card games I’m all ears and nothing makes me happier than when that card game is elestrals!!!! Great Games, I’d pay money for more MBT Elestrals content!

As the mobile dev for the client app, working on it I promise ;)

Other players: "Don't you worry about having fun when you play stun/stax decks?"
Me: "The point isn't to have fun. The point is to grind my opponent's soul into dust."
Most people that do this are extracting fun from their opponent's reaction, which more or less circles around to answer the question anyways. "Don't you worry about fun?" "No, because if my opponent isnt having fun, then I am."
overall this kind of play is a liiiiittle unhealthy for games that have small playerbases but that's neither here nor there
If my opponent isn't suicidal by the time the game is over, I've failed
@VorseRaiderStrike it's unhealthy if it's the best desk by a wide margin, otherwise it's mostly fine.
I be out here fiending to play a good card game
I think it'd be cool to see more Elestral stuff on the channel, it looks super interesting and would be a good change of pace from the hellish format we're heading into
Coder jumpscare! He’s alive!
Also renewing the call for Digimon videos, the game is dope and we have the best card art of any TCG (with artist credits!)
Morfrost is Skull Servant plus death's shadow? Where do I sign up?
Speaking of taking breaks on Yugioh, i would love if you did videos on these topics
1) Speed Duel being done for and what this means for the chance of Rush coming over
2) The brand new chinese only "Classic Duel Links" mode. It's really odd, as it's kinda like goat but different and with some of DL's rules.
I only just found out about this game yesterday through your short about Fiendsmith, and now I'm suddenly weirdly invested in the Elestriad series.
While they currently ship worldwide already, I hope they're able to distribute it in other countries at some point because shipping costs are.
Oof.
But that's not their fault, obviously. The game looks really fun! Even if my first thought when I saw a card was "ah yes, Palworld TCG." I don't even mean that as a knock against the art, it just wears its Pokemon inspiration on its sleeve.
Or the card stock. And the sleeves you can buy.
Oh you get it--
Is there a starter set to the game? I can see the decks you can buy but i normally play with my gf only so an emclosed product normally works really well for us to try things out
There are starter decks that while incomplete do come with lots of strong staples. If you grab frost Fall starters they also come with some boosters to help strengthen the decks and experience some other cards
I've had a passing interest in Elestrals ever since the first video you did on the topic, but due to the lack of an online client since I'm in the UK, it was hard to justify getting into. But now that I know there's a mobile app in the works, I'd love to try something new!
If possible, 2 questions for Mister BlueTron:
1) Given that the game has an online scene but is mostly US based, how accessible do you feel it is for a UK-based player to get into the game for paper product?
2) As someone who fell in love with their first higher-tiered in-paper deck through your channel in the form of both Lyrilusc and Zoodiac varients of Tri-Brigade, do you have recommendations for mid-range style decks that would scratch a similar itch to this for a total beginner to the game?
Hi! I've been playing Elestrals for over a year now, so I'll try to answer your questions as best I can.
1) Finding cards outside the US is definitely difficult right now, but by no means impossible. There's a secondary marketplace Discord in place right now with a ton of sellers who ship singles internationally, you just have to ask! And the main Elestrals Discord server also regularly hosts webcam and app tournaments that are open to everyone. In fact, there have been several successful players from overseas who regularly play in these events, so you're definitely not alone!
2) I'd recommend trying out Wind! It's a very midrange toolbox-y deck that revolves around the exceptionally powerful divine rune Aoelus, one of the only runes in the game that searches Elestrals from deck. You have a lot of removal options between Peagust and Soarlet, and even a ramp option in the Hydrake line that can get you to a 3 cost Elestral with 15 attack in one turn for some insane pressure! It's super fun to play and fairly simple to learn, you can also find the vast majority of the cards in the Wind starter deck from 1st Edition!
@@jtspeed2072 This is exactly the kind of advice I was looking for, thank you so much!
Hey, Gamers. I'm not paid by Elestrals.
I fully quit Yugioh in April and dove into Elestrals. I haven't had so much fun with a TCG in a LONG time. Decks are exciting there's a LOT that is viable and there's the genuine back and forth that I enjoy from a card game.
That feeling of needing to top deck the card you need is much more real in Elestrals than I've felt in Yugioh in a LONG time.
I encourage everyone to pick up Elestrals. 2 Starter Decks (for playsets) and 1 Booster Box should get you enough staples and a strategy to get you going.
Play Elestrals!
Absolutely dude. I just got my friends to check it out recently at TooManyGames and they were immediately hooked.
Hmu whenever you plan to play at blue bell again!
Is there a digital version of elestrals yet? The one thing that stops me from trying is the lack of a simulator…
I think someone made one recently but it got taken down because lawsuits
There's a mobile app in beta.

@@Bigparr43pretty sure that was lorcana. Elestrals has an app that you can play
@@MBTYuGiOhAnd with that, I'm in. TY, Mr. BT
@@MBTYuGiOh awesome!
We got Yu-Gi-Oh palworld before GTA 6
Here's the thing about this game. You don't have use ONE type. You can mix all of them if you want. But its best to do two or three.
Thunder nexus seems BRAZY. Definitely gonna try it out!
The fact that A-Drive, a pokemon youtuber, made a successful card game is wild
Idk why but the art and styling and naming of the cards is such an absolutely enormous turnoff for me playing this, the cards just scream "released 1 set then only appears on clearance at The Range"
I love ygo too much to quit but I've been jamming some pokemon, vanguard and lorcana in the off season
Our next set Daybreak which preorders open on July 12th INSANELY elevated the artwork Elestrals have to offer! The arts genuinely feel like they come from MTG with how amazingly detailed they are!
Completely agreed. Everyone shat on Palworld for blatantly copying Pokémon, but this isn't much better.
I don’t blame you the creator is a huge pokemon enjoyer and is trying his hardest to be the next pokemon.
@@TailwindZ😂
I just looked at the "improved" art from daybreak and its still giving deviant art fakemon crossed with nft tiered design ideology.
It really does just not hit even remotely for me when compared to cfv, modern pokemon and the sheer spectrum of artwork available in ygo.
If cards look ugly I will never have interest and unfortunately to me these cards all look clapped even down to the framing etc personally (cfv my beloved with the GOAT card frames)
LOVE Elestrals! Been playing for a little while now and I have to say the Nexus mechanic is really unique and rewards crafty players! Anyone interested in playing the game I would recommend grabbing two starter decks (this is what I did), and trying it for yourself. The newer decks from the "Frostfall" set should get you going. (help us bring down Thunder Nexus 😂)
It so wierd seeing the success adrive has had with this i remeber watching him be underappreciated in a pokemon draft leagues.
I gotta admit, I ordered a bunch of the starter decks from the kickstarter and never opened the box 😭I'd really like to give it a shot but the lack of storage space from being a massive yugihead has made it hard to wanna
Question, what deck might an Elestral player suggest if one's interested in decks that recomtextualize a mechanic. Such as Tainted Remedy Control or Appropriate Exodia?
9:00 honestly, it took me a second to realize they weren't at the same table. The lining up & cut of the two frames was v good.
So in theory, as long as healing never gets out of control, tying life to casting resources keeps game length in check somewhat, right?
the water deck that coder was playing seems fun
So Astrabbit with Sparkit is just graceful charity with Deliquent Duo. Woah
I'm still waiting for the official Adventure Time Card Wars, but this always looked like a lot of fun, kinda reminds me of a faster-paced MTG with light pokemon-type mechanics and yugioh combos. I love it! Sadly can't afford it lol xc
Would it be possible to have a elestrals series? Like elestral Monday or something like it, doesn't have to be on the main channel, but it would be cool since it's hard to find content for this game, just a thought though
Looks like a fun game, wish it comes to Brazil one day.
aDrive is willing to ship to other counties provided you get your local game store to reach out to him about providing the product for sales. He is really trying to grow the brand. At a recent live event, he mentioned a store in Peru that hosts 30 man locals because of a dedicated player.
Im so happy to see kevin playing and having alot of fun
If someone can correct me if im wrong but from the gameplay it looks to me like poison tipped arrow is a staple because from what I understand it’s basically fissure from yugioh
PTA isn’t a staple but many decks do run it! It has delayed destruction.
Very solid card!
I’m for sure trying this, this looks really cool and has a lot of potential
though I’m def gonna try and play monsters that can Special Ascend, i love when monsters can upgrade
Loved the vid and excited to see more elestrals content fro. you
Please lord! PLEASE LET THIS CATCH ON IN LONG ISLAND AND STICK!
There's actually a store in Deer Park, NY called Rip N Ship Gaming that has the game already!
What stuff should you buy to start playing? Just any two starter decks?
That should be good to get you and a friend playing! I recommend the newer starter decks from the "Frostfall" set as they also come with 3 packs that can help power up your new decks!
Any couple of starters work. I would suggest the frostfall ones as they also come with boosters packs. Kryoscorch starter is also the easiest deck next to wind starter to upgrade out the box
Wait theirs an Elestral's scene in Seattle? I ain't feeling the aesthetics of the game but if theirs a local I should check it out since you said their is one around the time of NAWCQ
if theres no online play i cant do it sorry i live in a small country
I live in the US and i still cant do it. If nobody in my area sells or plays the game then whats the point?
@@corbinkendall6330 You can use the app until the game expands to your area!
There a mobile app in early access right now
Online play? That's easy! We have online tournaments EVERY WEEK with webcam tournaments & we have the TCG app in Open beta so you can play the game either way & not feel completely left out!
Elestral hype!!
This video was big for me. Because I never really felt comfortable with the 3 psychographic profiles. And now I realize, that's because I'm a rat bastard. Everything makes more sense now
As a Johnny in Mtg who played Rock Block in pokemon. Stun players are just sadistic Johnnys
Anyone know the background song name in the second game?
Elestrals unironically fixed equip spells in yugioh. That sounds awesome as hell. 🔥👍🏾
Have you tried the more recent Digimon Tcg, Joseph?
Do you have a decklist for that zeus deck?
Now the real question: is there a milling strategy available? Milling my opponent out is how i learned Magic back in the day and its my favorite win condition because of that. There arent many games where its possible though sadly
Yes, there is. There are currently 2 options to mill your opponent out. One is via Hummbust which allows you to sit back and cast spells while enjoying seeing your opponent cry as they have their best cards sent to the graveyard. The later also induces a crying state but is played with Lumaroo and Roominous which has a more aggressive strategy and forces your opponent to mill based on whether you destroyed an Elestral or depending on the damage done to your opponent.
@@Redbarron12 that's awesome! Thanks for the heads up!
Ok. They aren't here where I live (just checked), but I'm interested. Is there an online sim like db? I know this game is kinda new so I'm not expecting there is one but it's the only way to play for me rn
They have a mobile app manual sim, it's a huge priority
@ecnoid that's exactly what I needed, thanks!
Here to support other card games on this channel.
Let's be real, it's not a mix of a bunch of stuff, it's just Yugioh with a different life system, even the evolving could also be looked at as a tribute summon as it takes up your normal summon anyways.
I would give the game a try if there was an automated simulator. I already heard there is one in development, the questions are, is there a public roadmap for the game and what would be the monetization model?
I’ve been open about our desire to have an automated simulator that’s free to play with purely cosmetic monetization
@@Elestrals Yooo it's the official Mr. Elestrals. I really hope you succeed with that and that everything goes well for your plans for the future, the game looks very cool, a very nice blend of familiar mechanics from other games with it's own very unique stuff, and most importantly, looks fun

Elestrals is easy to learn and it’s fun! Free app to play too
Is it? Watching the game play it looks very complicated

@@codynelson7575 they have a How to play guide that is more visual and goes into more detail on the Elestrals main YT! Should go check it out! Im familiar with old Yugioh tcg play and the transition was not difficult! Should take a look
@@codynelson7575Yeah don’t listen to what these people say they’re clearly bots who were paid to say good things about the game. It’s trying it’s hardest to be the next pokemon. If you want an actual tcg that has events and has a really good community go try Lorcana the league events are fun. Promos every month etc. Plus cards are cheap and the artworks actually look better than something made by someone with free time to themselves.
The only thing that I dislike about elestrals so far is that I wish the "energy/Life/mana" acted a little more like Digitama in the Digimon TCG. Not quite as impactful mind you but I think they could release "special energy" that give some kind of passive bonus to the equipped creature. Make your life energy stack limited to like 5 of them or something so you still need the basic ones and have to ration your special energy instead of just blowing through all of them in one turn. But I can see arguments against that. Complexity of gamestate could be a very valid one. Also some decks seem to manipulate their equipped energy a lot so I could see ways it could break the game rather than open it up more.
Anyone know the music they used during the games?
In this video? Or in Elestrals itself?
@@TailwindZit’s copy free
Music from motionarray 😅 if you really like I can find it in our library & send it to you
do you know where I could get the cards to build a morphrost deck?
A single box of Frostfall would do it! Though you'll want a Starter Deck for staples and other cards.
For Frostfall, I suggest SD: Frostfall.
Yo, Elestrals sounds gangsta as hell. 👍🏾
Man when I first saw fiendsmith revealed I was excited, good support for some niche archetypes and a decent splashable into some other decks.

I actually picked up some decks after they showed up at Toomanygames
what you mean? im a yubel player and i love fiendsmiths

Water is just mtg blue pretty much
My main concern with this game is the lands and life being comnected, doesn't that mean you get 20 actions total? And if your opponent attacks you, you get to play less cards? How is this balanced in the game?
There's cards that recover your life resource and there are ways to reuse the life you've already spent
You can use spirits on the field in multiple ways to get effects to happen again, thats called Nexus. Lots of variety and opportunities for deck expression and gameplay!
As I don't have much access to Physical stuffs, I just hope we can have a virtual simulator soon enough - here's your cue to link one in comments, as if saying "then I have the solution to you! Meet..."
I’ve been watching aDrive since Omega Ruby came out and by God did I never think I would hear aDrivussy
Is there a place to buy singles other than ebay
There's a community marketplace discord channel that works pretty well for singles.

Is there a remote duel community of elestrials? living in remote state on Brasil have it’s downsides, I would love to play but no active way to irl play it.
The Elestrals Discord server hosts weekly remote duel tournaments for both webcam games and the digital app, and there's plenty of players who love to play remote games casually every day!
DragonBall Super CG is also a lot of fun ,and affordable too! Wish more people would check it out!
But is there a mill deck? Morphrost sounded pretty cool though we didn't really get to see it pop off.
Yes! Hummbust is the core of a fun defensive mill deck and the next set Daybreak features offensive mill with Lumaroo and Roominous!

So i’ve been following the game since mbt did the broke boys episode with it. Really think it’s interesting. I’m still a little hazy on the rules but I know that because I haven’t touched the cards and played a game. But how do i get the cards. also im a little turned off to the fact that there are cards with limited prints. are those cards limit at a certain rarity or are they just a limited printed card? thanks to whoever answers these queations
There are no High rarity locked cards, all the limted print stuff are Alt arts, Elestrals goal is that all decks are affordable and only higher rarity's versions/special arts etc are the chase and costly pieces., As for getting the cards there is obviously the main elestrals site, theres a well run marketplace discord in the community with hundreds of listings and a few LGS that sell single's online!
Imagine, a card game you have never seen or heard of before, and you can actually follow a game after 2-3 minutes of explanation.
Glad to hear it Earl! Join us!
This was interesting, but I would really like an explanation of what was going on as you played rather than "shield" and I had to pause to read the card as it came up on screen.
Does this game have a mulligan or nah?
Yep, currently mulligan rule is you pay 2 spirits per mulligan.
